Teresa's WISH Jouranl (Comments Welcomed)

WTG on the size 10 dress!!! :cool1: That is awesome!!! you will be "Hot!Hot!hot!" on your cruise! :sunny:

Thanks Jen - It's amazing what a good mood something like that can put you in. I was so happy when I went to bed last night.

Well today has been good so far (but the day is still young). Went to the gym and did 30 minutes on the stairmaster and then ran (jogged) for 60 minutes doing my first 5 miles on the treadmill!!!! :cool1: :cool1: I walked another 25 minutes to cool down for a total of 6 miles and burned 600 calories!!!! I think my legs are going to hurt tomorrow. :earseek:

Kids are out of school early today, so we'll be heading to the indoor pool to hang out for awhile. I'm sure I'll be sitting my tired legs in the hot tub. :p

I'll probably have a WW meal before we leave and pack some good snacks for while we're there. Not sure what we'll have for dinner tonight since DH takes Jessica to Irish Dancing. Maybe I'll grill some fish. My TOM is done, so no excuses on any water retension.

I will try and get to journals tonight since CSI and Without A Trace are reruns.

:cool1: :cool1: Congrats Tera!!!
3 inches in a month is awesome and a SIZE 10 dress!! :earseek: :earseek: :earseek: :teeth:

I have a question for you. Katie is interested in the Irish Step Dancing. How old should she be? She will be 5 in May. She will start tap in the fall and has been in ballet for 1.5 years. She just loves the the festival dancers she has seen.

Keep up the great work. Enjoy the hot tub.
Beth

Thanks Beth - I'm still very excited about the dress and tried it on yet again today  It's a little tight around the tummy, but I'm not concerned since I'm shooting for 10-15 more pounds by the time we leave.

As far as Irish Dancing, Jessica started when she was about 8 1/2 and her sister started when she was about 6, but Katie only lasted about a year. She just didn't have the coordination for it at the time. I know there were younger girls in Jessica's class that started young (about 4 or 5) and after 4 years, she is still doing it. I don't think they have a age limit. Make sure you contact a good Irish Dancing studio that competes in Feis's (irish dancing competitions) which helps a lot and is a lot of fun. Let me know if you have any questions.

Got back from the pool a couple of hours ago and had fun. We were there for 3 hours :earseek: I know the girls ( and myself ) will sleep good tonight. Tomorrow they are off, so they will get to sleep in. I'm getting up alittle later (7:00) and going to the gym before heading to the RV & Boat show downtown.

Added: DH ordered pizza for dinner tonight since Jessica didn't want to go to Irish dancing and we were all home together. I threw together a salad, but had 2 slices of pizza :earseek: At 7 points each, what the hell was I thinking :earseek: I had plenty of points, but hate eating something loaded with carbs. Oh well... nothing I can do about it now. Just drinking water and will try and be good the rest of the weekend.

You were thinking.. Pizza sounds so good!!! We've all been there! Remember ~ Look forward not back!!!

Happy Friday! :cool1:

Have a great weekend Tera! A size 10 dress..you must be on :cloud9:

Chances are it will be too big when it's time for the cruise!!

Jen - It WAS so good. I don't think I've had pizza in about 4 months :earboy2:

Hey Gail - I doubt the dress will be too big, but would like for it to be less "snug" It's got the spandex/cotton mix, so it's stretches if I need it in certain areas

Well today has been a good day. Got to sleep in till 7:00 and almost didn't go to the gym because my legs were so sore, but I got up and went. I did 40 minutes on the ellptical and 30 minutes on the bike. It felt good sweating (working off that pizza from last night). Got home and we headed to the RV and Boat show downtown. We walked for hours, climbing in and out of motorhomes and I am so stiff now. I ate a corn dog (ECK!!!) and two of my granola bars (2 points each) I figure with all the walking, I had to work off that corn dog and I'll follow up with water tonight. I did look it up in my WW book and it said 5 points, so I'll figure 7 to be safe. After being down at the show for 5 hours, I'm sitting my butt down in my chair, hoping to catch up on journals and watching a movie tonight. Oh oh oh.... they had a climbing wall there and I did it for the first time. My girls both tried it and didn't get far up and since no one was around to see my fat butt, I went for it. I did two different "courses" and made it up to the top on both. Now coming down was a different story. I was so freaked out just jumping down and climbed half way down on the first one before letting go. My heart was beating so hard after I finished and I felt excited, like I wanted to try it again. Maybe I found a new activity :goodvibes

This weekend is suppose to be really nice, so I'm hoping to get outside and start cleaning out my garden. I have so much to do, so I better start now and it just might be cleaned out by springtime.

CLEANING OUT YOUR GARDEN??!!!! :earseek: You lucky stick!!!!

That is really cool about the climbing wall! You will have great variety in activities if you keep it up! :cool1:

Jen - Sorry I have to gloat about it, but my crocus has already bloomed and my tulips are starting to come up :sunny:

I didn't get in the yard today, but instead did some laundry and quick vaccuming around the house. There is something about having the house picked up when we're home on the weekends.

Eating has been good today, 3 ff waffles (plain) this morning and a WW meal for lunch. DH made grilled chicken, stuffing, mashed potatos (I had about 1/4 cup of each) and veggies. I didn't eat all the stuffing and potatos and feel pretty satisfied.

Went to the mall with a neighbor and bought some things for me for the cruise. I got a swimsuit top and new swimshorts (size large this time :cool1: ) and two nice dresses.

Okay, here's my dilemma:

A couple of weeks ago, I bought a formal type dress for our cruise. It was in the "prom" area at JCPennys, and was normally $150, but on sale for $100.

Okay, the dress is long and I love it, but after the cruise, I doubt I'll have very few opportunities to wear it again. Today I found two dresses, one I will wear for semi-formal night and the other a really nice basic black dress that I thought would be good for formal night and I could take back the other dress. Its not as dressy looking as the other one and wonder if I should just suck it up and keep the longer dress for our very rare night of getting dressed up (Nick is renting a tux). I was going to keep the black dress anyways, but decided I could take it back since the next time I would wear it, I should be smaller :teeth:

So give me your opinions. Should I keep the longer gown type dress for a really special night out (never to be worm again) or should I return it and keep the basic black, more practical dress and save $100????

I was thinking I could always sell the nice prom dress on Ebay after :earboy2:

Oh oh... just a note. The one dress I got today was a size 10!!!! I tried on the 14 and it was alittle big and they didn't have a 12, so I thought, what the heck, try on the 10 and it FIT :cool1: On a sad note, a had to buy a black strapless bra and there was no way I was fitting into a size D cup anymore and got a 36C (Aug I was wearing a 38D). I actually could have gotten the 36B, but thought that was just too depressing :sad2: My ****ies are so small now :sad::sad:

Oh, I didn't know my chest area was a bad word  sorry... and it was the word that started with the b and not the t

Decisions, decisions, decisions.... DO you like they way you look in the long dress? How does it make you feel??? If it gives you a boost, I say keep it?! If not, then dump it...

I know what you mean about the upper part of your body! ;) :rotfl2: Mine are shrinking too!!!!

As for the crocus  to you!!! We won't see the ground for weeks and weeks!!! We are under a storm watch for Monday and Tuesday...YAY.....

Jen - I think I will keep the first dress. Yes I love the way it looks and I feel great in it. The other dress just didn't see dressy enough for a formal night.

I'm glad I'm not where you live. I'm not I could handle having that much snow still on the ground. Its nice to see snow in the mountains, but be dry down here :sunny:

Well I woke up thinking about all the things I needed to do today. I need to work on our Easter Egg Hunt coming up for our school. Also need to return my black dress to JCPennys today.

I was bummed out a bit when I got on the scale this morning and still only see the 166. I thought by now I would have lost another pound at the least and wonder if dinner last night was just too much. I've had cereal so far this morning and will really stay OP today and drink more water (if that's possible) the next two days to help out with weigh in on Tuesday. I wanted to make my 163 goal on Tuesday, but that might be too much of a stretch. Not much I can do about it but drink my water, stay OP and workout hard during the week.

Tera!

Glad yo could make your decision about the dress! You will have os much fun in it!!!

Try not to let the scale get to you! Scales are just a pain! Keep working and you will see those results!!! :cool1:

Keep it up!

Thanks Jen - I know I'm letting that darn scale get the best of me :confused3

Well I'm still letting that bloody scale get to me this morning. I got on and it still says 166. What's up with that? I've totally stayed OP for the past 3 days and drinking tons of water. Have I hit my plateau?? Time will tell.......

I did about 20 minutes on the weights this morning. Now that shorts/capri season is coming up fast, I feel I need to get those fat legs of mine alittle more toned. Gonna take some time  I got on the treadmill and tried running 5 miles, but it wasn't going to happen. I did get 4 miles done in 58 minutes and walked another 20 minutes after. I still need to work up to my 5 miles.

I did pick my wedding ring up today from being resized. I went from a size 7 1/2 to a size 6. It's a little tight right now, which is good since I have alot more weight to lose. Should fit nicely by cruising time :)

I plan to drink lots of water today, something light for dinner and hope the scale is especially nice to me tomorrow :sunny:

You're doing awesome Tera!!! Don't worry about that scale...you are seeing results...just look at the clothes you are buying!! Here's a question for you...when you're doing your laundry...when folding a pair of jeans or whatever...do you think...who's are these?? Then remember...oh yeah..those are mine!!! :rotfl: I just always remember my size 28's and granny panties :teeth:

Keep up the great work!!!

You are going to be one hot cruising mama!!! Keep it up! :cheer2:

Well I'm still letting that bloody scale get to me this morning.

I hear ya!!!!! I think the scales have formed a mutiny. Mines being unruly, too.

Don't let it get the best of you, you have sooooo many NSVs (non-scale victories) , concentrate on them until the stupid scale decides to budge!

Sunny

Thanks Gail - I do find myself looking at the smaller pants that I'm wearing. My butt is still pretty big, but much smaller than when I first started :sunny:

Thanks Jen :teeth:

Sunny - I don't know what it is about that darn scale. I'm obsessed with it :earseek: I guess since I'm still losing, I don't care what the scale says. And definitely wearing smaller sizes makes me feel good.

Well todays WI went well... lost 1.6 pounds for a total of 42.8. My weight is down to 165.2 and those 150's are soooo close. I'm hoping to get my 45 pound clippie next week and then I'll be shooting for that BIG 50!!!

Was able to walk on the treadmill for 70 minutes before my WI. I have bowling this afternoon and then off to my PTO meeting and then Jessica's choir concert tonight. The weather was SO beautiful here the past week, but back to reality: SNOW I don't know what I was thinking.... it's still MARCH.

Hi Tera,

I agree. I am so ready to be done with snow.

CONGRATS on the loss. You will have that clippie soon.

Have fun at the concert.
Beth

You are soooooooooo close!!! Come on you can do it! :cheer2:
