Teresa's WISH Jouranl (Comments Welcomed)

Good luck on 160s. I didn't move in this week, but I knew it would have been a long shot. Maybe next week!

Sunny

Thanks Gail and Sunny!! Unfortuntely, I doubt I'll be seeing the 160's this week :guilty:

Today has been a very exhausting day and I will be heading to bed early :cloud9: .

AFter kids got off to school, I headed to the gym and did 30 minutes on the stairmaster, 30 minutes on the ellptical and 30 minutes on the treadmill. I didn't do weights today because I wanted to concentrate on doing just cardio.
After the gym, I headed to the store than ran home quickly to drop off groceries before going to Jessica's school to help out for their bookfair. I was there from 10:30 to 1:30, than ran home to pick up items for Katie's Valentine's Day party. Headed to Katie's school for a 2:00 meeting, than in her class for the party. Left there at 3:00 and headed home when Katie was complaining about her throat. Was able to get a 3:45 appt, so we immediately headed back out. Haven't heard back from the quick test, so apparently she doesn't have strep. Got home just after 4:00 and sat my tired butt in my chair. Nick was taking girls to their swimming lessons, so I'm hanging out watching tv and catching up on journals.

I did get on the scale this morning and it said 172.5. I know I wasn't perfect this weekend, but no way I gained 2 pounds. It must be a lot of water, but doubt I will lose all of it by tomorrow. Guess I won't be celebrating the 169's tomorrow and doubt I will next week since it's close to that TOM. I need to refocus this week and stay OP and stay away from the alcohol. Drinking lots of water tonight and will keep my fingers crossed.

Hey Tera,

It is water weight. With TOM coming, it may stick around for a bit, but it will go away. Keep drinking your water, avoid sodium, and avoid alcohol. You'll reach those 160's soon. You are a very determined woman. Youwill succeed.

:wizard: for weighin,
Beth

Thanks Jen and Beth!!

Unfortunetly my WI wasn't as good as I had hoped, but I had an idea it wasn't going to be great. I lost only .4 pounds, but I need to still be happy for the loss. I'm still down 37.8 pounds and 170.2 pounds. I know I will make the 160's next week, whatever it takes :earseek:

Beth - My TOM isn't suppose to come till next week, but I could be retaining some water, so I'm not going to worry about it. Avoid alcohol? Like THAT'LL ever happen :teeth: I have actually cut down quite abit, but this past weekend I had two days versus just the one day a week.

Well I got up this morning and Katie still wasn't feeling well, so I kept her home from school. Poor thing is home sick on her 10th birthday :guilty: I did get to the gym and did 60 minutes on the treadmill before heading to my WW meeting. Came home and have just been hanging out with Katie, even taking a little nap with her. It's starting to snow here and it's cold :cold: of course not as cold as you poor souls in the upper midwest and east :earboy2: We were going to go out for dinner, but think we'll be staying in and ordering chinese. I found if I order the steamed veggies and shrimp without sauce, I can eat a lot of it ;)

Hey any loss is good! The scale is going the right way!

I know a loss is better than a gain, but it was still a little depressing. I know TOM is coming soon because my mood is different :guilty:

Today I had a good workout at the gym. Katie is still home with her cold, so I left earlier so I could get back home early. I did about 20 minutes with weights and than 80 minutes on the treadmill. The first 60 minutes, I alternated between walking (3.5) to jogging/running (4.6-5.0). I was able to do 4 miles in 60 minutes, which is good for me since I usually do 3.25 miles in 60 minutes. I walked another 20 minutes to cool down and got another mile in. I'm going to start doing this more and see if I can get up to 5 miles, but since I'm not normally a jogger/runner, it'll take me some time.

Right after I got home, the doctor's office called to say that Katie strep test came back positive. They said within 48 hours and they weren't kidding. I hate for her to miss another day of school since she's already missed two days. I figure since she'll get two doses today and one more before school, she'll be fine.

Just got back from the store to pick up Katie's prescription. They had to do liquid since those pills were so darn HUGE. I've got a lasagna cooking for a parent/teacher conferences. We got conferences tonight for Jessica and then swimming lessons. Not sure if Katie will do her's or not at this point.

:bday: to Katie! Sorry she's not feeling so well...at least you know it's strep. My kids hate missing school. I think they love the socializing. :goodvibes

Those 160's will be here and then gone before long! You are doing so great!

Gail

:cake: :bday: Happy Belated Bday to your Katie!

I hope she is feelig better today. It stinks she was sick on her bday, but how was the Chinese? You are doing great on the exercise, as usual.

Have a great afternoon. I hope the conferences go well.
Beth

I hope Katie is feeling better! :grouphug: You really need some good :wizard: you way !!!! Take care! I hope you house gets healthy soon! :sunny:

Well Katie is still home sick. Can't believe she's been home 3 days when I don't think she's missed that many days in her whole life. She was up coughing all night and has that "croupy type" cough now. We figure one more day home and then the 4 day weekend so have her totally recovered by next week.

Beth - Chinese was good. I love being able to eat it now that I order it without sauce. Steamed veggies and shrimp... a WW's dream :teeth:

Today at the gym was good. Did 30 minutes on the bike before doing the 60 minute yoga class and walked on the treadmill another 30 minutes before leaving. Katie is home again, so I needed to get home. Ran to Wal-Mart and the liquior store for a couple of things for our overnight stay in Estes Park for our anniversary  tomorrow. I plan to go to the gym early since the kids are off and get a good workout in before we leave. I bought some things to eat and won't worry too much about the points. The rest of the weekend I'll need to be really good if I want to see the 160's on Tuesday.

Hi Tera,

I hate a croupy cough. It just sounds worse than it is. I hope Katie is feeling better soon.

Have a fantastic time this weekend. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!   :love1: :love1:

How many years? Have a great time, and I hope it was champagne you picked up. :teeth:

Take care,
Beth

 Happy Anniversary!

I hope you're enjoying your little get-away! :cloud9:

Best wishes for Katie to be back to normal soon and best wishes for you to see the 160s soon!! With your devotion to exercise and counting those points, I just KNOW you'll get there! ::yes::

Thanks everyone! We'll be celebrating 15 years on the 20th.

Since the kids are off today, I was able to sleep in a little later, but dogs woke me up at 6:45am, so I ended getting up and heading to the gym early. I did 60 minutes on the ellptical (burned 835 calories!!!!!!!) and another 40 minutes on the treadmill and burned over 1,000 calories!! :cool1: I am soooo tired and I'm sure there is a nap in my future today.

DH and I will be leaving in a few minutes (when my Dad gets here to stay with girls) I have some wine, cheese & crackers and chocolate covered strawberries packed. Also have some candles to put around our spa tub  We'll be home sometime tomorrow afternoon, so I'll try and catch up on journals then.

Did peek at the scale this morning and saw 169.5! I hope I can hang onto that for Tuesdays weigh in :teeth:

We're back............

We did have a romantic time, thanks Jen. Got up to Estes Park around 12:00 and our room was ready. It was REALLY nice. 2 person sunken tub (more like for 4 people), king size bed, gas fireplace and a small kitchen. We went and had lunch after dropping our stuff off (DH had a headache and needed to get something in his stomach). I had the seafood platter (grilled shrimp, crab cake -yuck, cole slaw and fries) I also had a beer  We went back to the room and I put candles all around the tub, opened a bottle of wine and put on a Martina McBride cd I got at the Hallmark store. The tub was soooo nice and my sore muscles really needed the relief. I had less than half the bottle of wine and SEVERAL chocolate covered strawberries :earboy2: We took a nap and went to dinner later. I'll spare you the rest of the details, but had a few drinks, ate cheese and crackers and more strawberries, but I wasn't feeling a bit guilty ;) We got up early today and after hanging out, went to breakfast (I had a waffle w/ apple, raisins & cinnamon - no syrup though :teeth: ) and 1 scrabbled egg. I am now drinking LOTS of water and will be afraid to get on the scale tomorrow.

Monday I will be extra good and have a really good workout and keep my fingers crossed for Tuesday. TOM should be coming in the next few days, so who knows....
