My dh would love to eat at Teppanyaki this fall, however, they don't have anything on menu my picky little kids would eat. :earboy2: Can you get more kid friendly things (chicken nuggets, pizza, etc)? I checked out the menu on allearsnet and they don't have anything listed for kids.

Thanks,
Christy

My then 6 y/o loved this place! I ordered basic chicken for him and they grilled it to *perfection*! I didn't think he would enjoy the sauces that they gave him but he ended up "dunking" his chicken in it and eating all of his food. LOL And my then 13 y/o picked this restaurant. I have to admit, at first I was quite apprehensive but it ended up as one of our favorite restaurants!

I say go and try it. If your children don't eat, then buy them a pizza afterwards. ;)

But it's always a good idea to encourage kiddos to eat different things and who knows...you might be pleasantly surprised. :)

I was apprehensive the first time we took our picky kids to a teppanyaki restaurant (not WDW), but it turned out to be a big hit for them. Now we're all teppanyaki junkies! :teeth:

When my DD was younger, I'd order a combo meal and share with her. There was always something on the plate that she'd eat -- the chicken or veggies, even the rice. Both kids love the shrimp the most. If they don't like rice, they can get fried noodles -- looks like spaghetti :flower:

We were very excited to visit this restaurant, but our budget did not permit anyone to order something they wouldn't eat. We took our nephews (two boys ages 6 and 8 at the time) to McDonald's before eating here. They were seated with us, but just ordered drinks. Unfortunately, my husband and I ended up hating this place. We have an authentic Japanese steakhouse in our hometown and went in with really high expectations; too high I guess. It's possible we just visited on a bad night, but it was sufficiently unpleasant enough for us to never return.

We went last year and the 2 girls split a chicken. We got extra rice and they were fine. They were both very picky but relly enjoyed the show.

We are booking this for NYE dinner! Hoping it will be good! I love oriental cooking :sunny:

Both my children really enjoyed the cooking show put on by the Chef (who seemed to really cater to my DS then 8) and they liked the food. I did bring in ketchup packets for DS who eates ketchup with every kind of meat! You should have heard our Chef "demand" to know how DS got ketchup in "his restaurant". It was funny! :rotfl2:

Teppanyaki dinning rooms is our favorite Epcot restaurant! I always think it is a great place for kids, because it is just "plain" food. There are no exotic seasonings or anything else on the food unless they chose to dip it in the sauces. Other than that, everything is cooked plain on a grill. The chicken shrimp or steak would be fine for them, and while they might not be too keen on the asian vegetables, they can always get extra rice. When we have taken children here, it has always been a big hit, and they have eaten most everything given to them.
