I've been to The Wave before for lunch and really enjoyed it, but I'm drawn to Teddan Edo this time around. Never been to Teppan Edo before and wondering if I should forego The Wave and try it this time. We would be going for dinner. Which would you choose?

I have never been to The Wave but Teppan Edo is our absolute fav restaurant. I would suggest going there simply based on the fact that you have never been and it is always fun to try something new.

I've been to both and I'd pick Teppan Edo. Honestly, the Wave has a cool entrance and bar area but other than that, it's nothing special, imo. Have fun with whichever you choose.:)

Definitely Teppan Edo! Its great for families, and since you have not eaten there it would be a fun, new experience!:goodvibes I have gone every year for the past 4 years and its still so much fun!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Been to both both are good but if I had to pick one then it would definately be Teppen Edo.:thumbsup2

ok, since the only other person who chose The Wave was asked why, I will go ahead and explain. I would choose The Wave because:
If you have ever been to a Japanese Hibachi Restaurant, you have been to Teppen Edo. Actually, every Japanese restaurant in my town that I have been to is better than Teppen Edo. Plus, as far as price point, you don't get NEAR the food as others and the quality is not superior. It is a good time if you go to Japanese Restaurants RARELY I suppose. When I am at Dis, I wanna go places that I cannot go at home. I don't live in a huge town, I live in Greensboro, NC, but there are several Hibachi restaurants here. At any rate, we ate at Teppen Edo last year for the first time not for the experience, but because we LOVE Japanese food, and it was a bit of a let down. Having said that, it is very popular, but I will not go back.

Never ate at Teppen Edo, but agree that it is very similar to any hibachi restaurant outside of Disney. We ate at Tokyo Dining (inside the same building) many times and loved it. The service is great, the good is awesome, and the atmosphere can't be beat. Teppen just seems kinda boring to me, although I would imagine the hibachi chefs are heads and shoulders about places like Benihana.

We ate dinner at the Wave last week and the food was very good. It is kind of a boring atmosphere, no real theming, just a low ceiling room with lots of tables. The service was outstanding, and we were very satisfied with the food.. My biggest complaint with the Wave was the menu was kinda standardized, nothing real special on it. The desserts were cool, you pick from 4-5 items, and each one comes with 3 different small desserts.

If I had a choice between the two, I would probably do the Wave if you are totally against Tokyo Dining.
