Hi all. I can't find an earlier reservation at Teppan Edo for our Aug. vacation so we'll have to keep it at 6:50. I'm hoping that our group of 10 will be seated quickly.

Where is the quickest/best location for us from the restaurant to view Illuminations after dinner? I have a feeling that we'll literally be running with 6kids in tow.

TIA!

Everyone tries to gather around the lagoon. By the time your done with dinner you still might have a good chance on getting a good spot. Just head for the railing over looking the lagoon, if it's crowded you can always try and find an open space ;)

1) Of course, ten people can be a problem.
. . . this will require two tables.
. . . you are in prime-time for tardy ADR's
2) Once seated, then it is a case of how quickly each table eats.
3) If seated by 7:15pm, you won't have a problem.
4) But, you will have to try to find a spot for viewing.
5) By 8:30-8:45, most good viewing areas are 3-5 people deep.

Will they let you stand at the top of the stairs going into Teppan Edo and watch Illuminations from up there? We have come out of that restaurant several times near the end of Illuminations and it always seemed like a pretty good place to see the show

If we could do this that would be awesome! Can anyone confirm this?

Any other close spot(s) that we can get to from Teppan Edo? Any place other than the railing over the lagoon as the other person said in case it's packed in that area? Just want to have a plan.

Can someone tell me why there are better views? I thought that they're just fireworks and you just look up from wherever you are? :confused3

Illuminations is not just a fireworks show. A good deal of the action takes place on the lagoon itself.

There are some areas around the World Showcase from which the view of the lagoon is blocked by islands and/or trees.
