Just trying some moeny saving toughts for our trip. 5 tent camping days and 5 days at either a deluxe or mod resort.

I don't know about 1st week in August. It is extremely hot the 1st week in August.

You would save more money by staying the full trip at a Value resort vs. splitting it up.

The only time I would consider camping at WDW is late September through Early April.

Otherwise it is just too hot.

Especially since you stated in another post that you were flying. You probably won't have the space to bring a big enough fan.

I use a fan even in December. Mainly I use it to dry things out during the day time, cause the humidity is so high even in the winter.

Not sure I would do it....as Carol mentioned, heat and humidity are pretty high in August. Last month, we had trouble getting swimsuits to dry in an a/c hotel room at WDW, let alone a clothes line strung up at the campground! Getting everything there could also be a challenge. Since we car camp, most of our gear isn't the lightest weight stuff (other than our tent) - so flying with it would probably push us way over the airline's luggage weight limits.... I'd love to camp at WDW sometime though....
Have fun!

I can't see this as being a fun time to tent camp. Just the the thought of how humid that time of year is, everything would be so damp not to mention the daily rain deluge.
