Does anyone own here at the Tempus Palms resort? We went on a timeshare tour and it seemed like it was nice. What are the pluses and minuses and then how's the price? Is a resale better?
So are a dozen or so other top quality resorts in the area, which is rather overbuilt with timeshare resorts. If you want very much to stay there every year (have a lovely, familiar place to vacation), you might consider buying a well-priced resale. If you are just looking for a stay there in some years and you would consider trading to other destinations (or other resorts in the Orlando area), then don't buy in Orlando.
We own a couple of timeshare weeks. One of them is much, much cheaper than an Orlando resort week in both purchase price and annual maintenance fees. It trades very well into great Florida resorts, even during prime holiday weeks. There are other options. It's worthwhile to own where you want to stay if you always want to return there. Otherwise, learn more about timesharing and decide what's really needed to suit your family's needs.
Check out Timeshare Users Group. TUG is very useful for learning the ropes of timesharing so you don't get burned. Hope that helps! Feel free to email me for more detail or info.
