I'm sorry this happened to you.It reminds me of my friend's parents. One Christmas the mom thought that the dad picked up the toys and vice versa. The result: none of their 4 children had Christmas presents that year. The kids ranged in age from 1-5. That's how they found out that there was no Santa. Bad enough that Santa would forget but then they realized that their parents didn't care enough.
