100 pound mixed breed...lab and shepherd. Smart as a whip. Got him from the SPCA about 10 years ago.

Let's see...

There's Buddy and Sally...both basenji's. Rescued from BRAT about 4 years ago.

They make an interesting pack with Daisy...a 65-lb. golden mix. I think DH bought her (years ago) at a flea market.

The vet thinks we're crazy.

Well there is Belle and Gidget. Gidget is the all white Maltese, 3yrs. old, very loud bark, wants all your attention all the time. Belle is a Shih Tzu, 9 years old, sweetest dog ever!!

I have a red and white cocker spaniel named Tara. Miss Scarlett's Tara, to be precise. She'll be 13 in March. Acts like a 4 or 5-year-old. Loves her squeaky banana and Chinese food. Must have ice cream every night, and she will only eat it off a spoon.

I've got a one year old American Mastiff. He's pushing 180 lbs, I would estimate. He can rest his chin on our countertops, which makes cooking with him in the kitchen a challenge!

Q is 2.5 years and is very smart. She can answer specific questions like whether she wants to go out for a walk or to "find a spot" or to chase bunnies. She aso figured out how to roll down the windows in my truck. She was run into at the dog park and got a dislocated left rear kneecap. $3K and 6 months later she is fine and back wrestling with our new guy Fred.

Fred was originaly named huggy bear. Which he did not respond to (when we got him at five months old). I called him fred and he whipped his head right around. So fred it is... He is less smart but tries. Q is about 55 pounds and fred is probably 80 pounds at 11 months. ANd he is the cuddler. Always wants to climb up on the bed. Being the second dog we have no good pics of him.... He also just got the same dislocated kneecap so we have appointments to do it all over again.
they are both rescue dogs from adopt a pet.

You can see her brain working in this pic. She is plotting another attack on me...

this is her claim to fame. She was "picture of the day" on the kodak billboard in times square.

Leary the Pug is 4 1/2 and bad! He weights 17lbs He is the sweeatest thing in the world, but is manipulative. You will do what he wants, when he wants it. He runs the house. He has to smell everyone's eyes too :confused3

Cyprus is 7 (75lbs) and is a big baby. He loves people and bread.

They are the best of friends, but Leary is in charge. Cyrpus thinks he's as small as Leary and vise versa.

I adore them. :cloud9:

Churchill is an 86-pound English bulldog. He has brindle coloring. He is so ugly, he's cute! And he has a very sweet temperment - he just wants to sit on a lap...but he's too big! :goodvibes

We have Dublin, she is a 10 lb rat terrier that thinks she is a rottweiler. She is very smart and loves to play. She is not at all hyper though, in fact, she spends a good deal of her day sleeping. She is also a good watch dog but only barks appropriately, like when someone unknown comes to the door and at garbage cans in the street :rotfl2: (ok, not appropriate but funny).

This is her waiting for her dad to come home from work. I am amazed that she goes to the front window about 10 minutes before DS14's bus comes, about 10 minutes before the twins' bus comes and about 10 minutes before DH usually gets home. If he is late she starts to pace. It is really funny. Note she brought her "friend" to help her watch.

This is Liesl. She is 2 1/2 and a big old love. She came to our family during my illness when my other two dogs were old and dying. All of my Shepherds have been "velcro dogs" but she takes the cake. Wherever I am, she is. No exceptions. Same with the rest of our family. If one of us is out of sight, it's a big problem for her. She takes her "work" very seriously. ;) For some this could be an annoyance, but from the time I was old enough to walk I've had a Shepherd by my side, so for me it feels very natural.

Liesl adores children. She is never happier then when she's out with a yardful of kids. She runs non-stop among them with a soccer ball in her mouth waiting for her opportunity to set the ball in front of one so he or she can kick it for her. At night she walks our kids to their rooms, then once they're in bed she checks them one more time before she plops down in the hallway between their rooms and settles in for the night herself. Needless to say, she's a great watchdog. We love her to pieces! paw:

Jackson--a 25-lb., 1 1/2 year old blue merle sheltie. We got him after the death of our beloved 14 year old sheltie, Lily. He is a good boy with a sweet temperament. He loves to do his job which is to look out for our kids. This morning I raised my voice at my DD12 because we were running late for school. Jackson barked, a friendly bark, just to let me know I shouldn't fuss at one of "his" kids.

Barq's--a 27-lb, 10 month old mixed breed (we think 1/2 rat terrier and 1/2 sheltie) from the shelter. He is also a sweet boy and super smart. It is amazing how quick he learns. He even won the prize for best trick at his obedience graduation. He can high five.

I am lucky to have both of them and I love them very much!

Mason is a Boston Terrier just over a year old. We got him for my DH but soon found that he was a momma's boy. He can get away with almost anything with me! He is such a love. He loves everyone that he sees. His best friend is his big yellow duck. For the first year we had him I thought he coulnd't jump on the couch because he was too little. Well we were at my DIL's and Mason really wanted something off their couch and just jumped up there. He could jump up the whole time, he just liked having mommy pick him up. He is too smart for my own good!

This was taken not too long ago.

This is my favorite picture of him as a puppy.

We have our old lady, Rosie, who's about 10. She's a 42 lbs French Spaniel that we rescued, that's why we're not sure how old she really is. Best dog I've ever had! Wonderful personality, great with people, kids and other dogs.

Our baby, is a HUGE chocolate lab Lilly. She's almost 18 mos and is 80 lbs. She's very, very tall and long. She's smart as a whip, but rather ditzy. She'll wedge her head up under your arm until you have to pet her. Wonderful disposition and knows that Rosie's the boss! Rather a princess, doesn't like to get her paws wet if it's raining or snowing. Looks at you as if to say, "You expect me to go out in this weather?"

Don't know what we'll do when Rosie dies. Lilly cried at the vet when they took Rosie out to weigh her and draw blood. Nothing more pathetic than an 80 lbs lab bawling! Vet's assistant actually came into the room to make sure everything was OK.

Here are our brand new furbabies. We adopted both dogs from a Border Collie rescue group. The smaller one is 2 y.o. but acts like a little old lady. The larger one is 1.5 y.o. and a great big puppy. Both are incredible dogs and still settling in with the cats.

:rotfl2: Well, he looks like a Fred, doesn't he?

We have a golden retriever mix named Sunny. We have no idea what she's mixed with--she's just a very small & dainty golden. :teeth:

She adores kids and will let them hang on her, jump on her, pull her tail--as long as they're paying attention to her, she could care less. She is not a watchdog AT ALL--anyone can come in, she's very happy to see them. However, she gets quite indignant when the bus goes by or one of our next door neighbors uses the lawn mower.

The neighbors all adore her and will hang over the fence and play fetch with her. In fact, the grandkids of my next door neighbor will come to the front door when they're visiting and ask if I'll let Sunny out in the yard to play. :teeth:

She's not the smartest dog I've ever had but she's very pretty and loveable. We got her from the Humane Society a couple of years ago. My vet has nicknamed her "Lucky" because we adopted her two days before all the dogs at the Humane Society had to be put down due to a faulty ventilation system (they all got sick.)

2 idiot Shiloh Shepherds who drag me anywhere from 2 to 6 miles a night, eat me out of house and home and take up the entire bed when they sleep at night.
