DH & I are going back to the happiest place on earth in October of 2006. As you can see from looking at my signature, this is going to be our 4th year in a row. I was thinking that since, during every other trip, we have seen all of the night shows, Wishes, Fantasmic, Spectromagic & Illuminations, we may skip them during our next trip. What do you guys think?

I would like to do some late dinners and try to get on rides during the shows.

It is a personal thing, I could skip the rest, but I would have to watch Wishes just once.

We also go frequently and have skipped Fantasmic sometimes. We never miss Illuminations and Wishes. We've missed Spectro because it hasn't appeared on the nights we've been to MK, but we are definitely watching it this January. So I guess the only one we have no problem missing is Fantasmic. We are really fireworks people!

It wouldn't be a Disney trip without seeing Wishes, just know I couldn't do that. I could possibly get by without seeing Illuminations and have missed Fantasmic on several trips, but there's something magical for me with Wishes and I see it at least 2 or 3 times each trip. :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I think that if that sounds good to you it probably is! We are just the opposite. Our last trip to WDW we didn't ride as much but concentrated on parades and nighttime shows each day and night. Although I have to say that sometimes during Spectro in particular I am tempted to get up and ride something because it seems like the entire free world is holding their spot for that parade so it goes to reason wait times must be less!

Rides Rides Rides

and romantic dinners

thats my opinion

especially if you have seen the fireworks before!!!!

perhaps choose your best fireworks display and just go to that spend the rest of the time lapping up the fact that ques will be miniscule!!!!!!!

This past trip (8/05) we concentrated on all the parades/fireworks. We are hoping to go back 8/06 and we said the same thing....skipping some of the night time things and doing the rides.

We recently return from a 10-day trip and the only nighttime show we saw was Wishes (twice!). We almost always skip Fantasmic and opted to skip Illuminations for good seats at Jellyrolls! Like many others, Wishes is the only "must-see" for me.

I'm with the majority that you can't miss Wishes. But I would also skip the rest as well as parades and use it as a great time to get on the major attractions.

As a previous noter said, it's a personal thing. Our trips always end at the MK, hopefully on a Wishes night and extra special if they do the Kiss Goodnight......
