And in which order I should try to get them when making reservations? I will be up bright and early on my 180 day mark :surfweb:

Traveling 8/23-8/30 :dance3:

Me (35), DH (38), 2 boys (9 & 6), MIL (62) Family friend (64) and greatgrandpa (86). We have the regular DDP, staying at POP and do not have park hoppers.
Day 1: arrival day (2:55pm) ME to resort, Epcot: late dinner ADR Coral Reef
Day 2: Epcot: Lunch Sunshine Seasons, Dinner Chefs de France
Day 3: AK: Lunch Flame Tree, Dinner 1900 Park Faire
Day 4: MK: Lunch ? , Dinner Crystal Palace
Day 5: MIL, grandpa and friend depart we sleep in, pool and visit ? park...need dinner help for this day
Day 6: DHS Lunch?, Dinner Mamma Melrose Fantasmic package
Day 7: MK: lunch? Dinner Ohana
Day 8: depart mid afternoon

I have also considered adding a Tusker House breakfast to the AK day and paying OOP for it. Is two character meals in one day too much? :confused3

Yes I think 2 character meals in one day is too much. 1 a day is good.

For your day you haven't decided I recommend choosing your favorite park. And a dinner within that park.

On a 7 day trip we always spend 1 day at each park and then split the left over time with MK and AK as they are our favorites.

I don't think the order in which you make them will make any difference.

I agree with the PP who said for your undecided day, you should just pick your favorite park and make an ADR for a place in that park...OR if you choose to go to MK that day, you could pick a place on the monorail line.

Thanks to those who have responded so far  I am thinking I will drop the Tusker House breakfast..it just looks so neat, but I don't want to overload everyone  My problem with our 1/2 day is that while DH and I have been to the world before it was many years ago as young adults and we paid no attention...This is our boys first trips to DW and I am just not sure what our favorite will be! I planned one of our "extra" days at MK based on advice from this board and planned a monorail resort (ohana) for dinner in case we changed our minds....I would not be so worried about it if we were not going during free dining...:scared1:

:) One fun thing to do would be to visit MK, take boat to WCC at WL and boat back to MK. The WCC has great antics for the kids usually. The boat ride is great and the resort is terrific with theming.

If you want to do Tusker house at AK for breakfast then I'd drop 1900 Park Fare, the characters are Cinderella, prince, Stepmother and step sisters. My son and daughter were 6 when we did it and my son was just like whatever. I really wasn't impressed with the food either, though my kids loved the dessert bar. I would maybe suggest trying the Garden Grill in Epcot on a day you will be there. They have chip and dale, mickey, my son enjoyed that one more and the food was good.

Ohana's was one of my favorite meals for dinner and they have good entertainment for the kids plus a nice atmosphere. Since it's in the Poly you could always do that one on a non-park day if need be.

I would try to book them all as soon as you can but some of the ones in my experience that seem to book quicker are CRT, any of the signatures, any dinner shows, Fantasmic packages, Chef Mickeys, Les Cellier and Ohana's. Book what you want or think you want, you can always cancel once you work out the details. Some do require a credit card to hold the reservation but most don't.

I would drop 1900 Park Fare since you have two boys and replace it with Chef Mickeys. I think they would like that much better. (my son does)

Another favorite of ours is Kona Cafe at the Poly. It's wonderful!!
