Good Walking Shoes

I started wearing Brooks some years ago on the advice of a "specialty" shoe store. One of those places where they watch how you walk, how your feet land when walking, checking your gait, etc. I get a new pair every couple of years.

Bought Skechers slip-ins because I thought it would be less hassle at the airport when going through security. I didn't find them especially comfortable for extensive walking. Grocery store fine, WDW not so much.

I don't think it's so much that one brand is the best. I think it's more how a particular size/style fits you. I try on a variety of brands of sneakers before deciding. I try the B width. If it's tight I try the W width. I'll go with my usual size and then often try up 1/2 size.

I love my Sketchers slip ins for walking all day!!

the only downside is i wear them out in like 6 months. I can tell when I need new ones as my lower back get a specific ache.

I live in Canada so I don't think we have Road Runner Sports or if Hokas are sold here. I will be checking stores here. To add to it all, I have very wide feet. So, not easy buying shoes or boots. Just looking for suggestions. Thanks!
Same plus I have neuropathy. Easy spirit have wide options and are so comfortable!

Completely agree with this. I'm wearing a pair of Skecher's Slip ins GoRuns right now. But I won't wear them if I'm going to be doing any more walking than around the office. If I do more than two or three miles in them in a day, I know I'm going to have foot cramps at night. Not a problem with my Nike running shoes or my Hokas.

Are Hokas worth the price? I can get 2-3 pairs of cheaper shoes or one of those so I have not got a pair yet.

I bought 2 pairs several years ago. The outsides look brand new. But the insides are starting to show wear and tear.

I had plantar fasciitis and they helped so much.

For me they are. I umpire softball, last Saturday I moved over 16 miles on unforgiving turf. My feet didn't cramp up or really even hurt afterwards. I've had these for about 4 months and probably close to 300 miles. I'll try to get two more big tournaments out of them and retire them at the end of October. Skechers, Nike, New Balance all work fairly well for the first 50-100 miles, then let me down and I start getting foot cramps or pain on one side or the Plantar Fasciitis acts up, not an issue with the Hokas.

I have bad feet. Diabetic, edema, neuropathy, plantar fasciitis and heel spurs. It hurts to stand or walk. Every single pair I have now hurt after more than a few steps. Maybe I need to invest in some of these,

A well-made/comfortable walking shoe you would also wear at home would be my suggestion. Some expensive/trendy brand name doesn't guarantee it will be more comfortable or a better fit. Buy what works for you. Also make sure you have worn the shoes at home prior to your trip. Taking a brand new pair of shoes to wear for the first time at Disney (or anywhere you plan to vacation) is not a good idea. I don't care for shoes like Sketcher's since any sort of 'slip on' shoe always seems too loose and they have to make design compromises so they are easy to put on or take off.

I bought Hoka´s because of the many positive reviews and recommendations but for me, it didn´t work. I can´t walk on them. So I guess you just have to try and find out yourself.

Does anyone have suggestions of good walking shoes. I walk quite a bit each day outside and sometimes have sore feet. Time to look for a proper pair of walking shoes. Right now it is winter and wearing boots doesn't help. Looking forward to spring....

Any suggestions?
I. Have had a lot of problems with shoe feet hurt. Now i have found Ortho Feet check them out. The Hoyas i can wear. Everyone has to try to find out. This company i found give you six months to try. Good luck
