If I recall the first time it was Mickey, Pluto, Goofy and Donald (of course). The second time had Minnie as well.

Hi...we are staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge in Jan 2006 and I am wondering how long it takes to get to the various theme parks from the hotel. Do you have your own bus that goes direct to the parks or do you have a bus that stops at other hotels to pick up people? It is so far out and I have a four year old so I want to be sure we are not on the bus for 45 minutes or more each time we go to a theme park....thanks...this is my first post so i hope i did it right PS...i now see that I am tagged on to someone else's sight.....how do i post a new thread?

Welcome to the DIS mmiller! One of the mods will probably move this for you, but if you want to try again, go back out to the main Theme Parks Board (http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2) and click the "New Thread" button at the top left. That's how you start a new topic.

We've stayed at AKL several times and you will LOVE it! There are dedicated buses just for AKL that go to each park and to Downtown Disney. While it is somewhat far out on the map, it doesn't take all that long to get even to the furthest park (MK). Generally the cast members will tell you to allow an hour for transportation, but barring unusual circumstances we've never had it take more than half an hour to get to a park from any resort. Obviously, AK is right next door and will take just a few minutes to get there. Epcot and Studios are more like 15-20 minutes and MK could take 20-30, but allow yourself extra time when you can just in case you have to wait for a bus or something else happens.
