Tell me the "weather" where you live.

It is as cold as a well diggers butt in a snow storm for us in Central Texas. Doesn't compare of y'all in the midwest & East. The rain quite late yesterday, with a low of only 32 with chill factor of 25. It now 34 with chill factor of 25. We suppose to get hard Sunday into Monday. All please stay warm (remember your fur babies & other animals warms also).

We broke into the 20s... 21 in fact. :)

The sun is out so it feels nice on the window. It looks like another week below freezing. This weekend is going to be the worst of it with a snow storm predicted for Monday.

*** EDIT ****
Never mind... I just checked the thermometer out back. The backyard faces North and doesn't get any sun.

It says 15^

The 21 was the one out front and the sun beating on the house "warmed" it up.

At least you won't have to worry about bearings or tires overheating?

No trouble with overheating! I did have trouble getting the truck to fire off. I didn't have it plugged in initially and it took it a minute to realize I wasn't giving up until it started. Other than my hands about to fall off when needing the gloves off to manipulate the auto leveler buttons, made it back no problem.

It's -8 wind chill right now. Yowza.

Just a cold miserable rain today. They are still giving good chance on significant freezing rain for Monday and Monday night. I filled all the gas cans today for us and our parents. Fired up everyone's generators, checked heat lamps in the wells and the doghouses.

Unfortunately for us here, something like that is just not something we see enough to be able to handle. Power outages tend to be severe when these things happen. Still hoping for that change in forcast however. In meantime I'll hope for best but prepare for the worst.

On a happier note, the Husky mix Pepper is running around and seems quite pleased. Her kinda weather.

I echo Teamubr hope that ya"ll stay safe in Miss. I also ago give me a foot of snow over a half inch of freezing rain. Our forecast for next 36 hours is a mixed bag with up to 0.25 inches of freezing rain

It has really warmed up here this morning. It was 2 earlier. And we have some more surprise snow. Just enough to cover the street again. The real snow is supposed to come tomorrow and Monday.

This one is up to 8. The back yard was reading 6.

Snowing again - couple inches more today. Started below 0 again. They are saying we might finally peek into the 20's in the middle of next week. We are supposed to go to FL in 7 weeks! Counting the days!

I hate to disagree with my brothers and sisters in the San Marcos PD but when it comes to EMERGENCY STORM RATIONS Everyone KNOWS or should know that you need to clean out the local supermarkets of MILK< BREAD, BUTTER and EGGS so will the basics for French Toast

@cjlong88

I have friends on Long Lake (north suburb of Minneapolis) and another about half way between Madison and Milwaukee. They have been sending my pics of the temp in their cars. They both love this weather. I'm glad for them.

There's a reason I don't live up there and why I went to North Carolina for January. Unfortunately I didn't stay in NC long enough.

I'm seeing lots of reasons why I don't live North of Meridian, MS.

Monday projected low here in middle Mississippi is now at 14. Laughable for most of you I know, but for us this is once every 5-10 years.

Good Lord! Where is that at?
Minneapolis. FUN fact. My first year I moved to Minnesota, they had their worst winter on record in 30 years.

We had negative temperatures for 20-something days in a row and a total of 50-something days total of negative temperatures.

All I could think of is, “why did I freaking move here?!?!”

I do love subzero temps every now and again, but experiencing it for extended periods of time is NOT fun. I’m just want 30s again and then I’m good.

Back in late 90s I drove over road. I regularly delivered bucket teeth to Virginia, MN. There is a steel plant 20 miles West of me. Made that trip at least every 10 days for nearly two years.

I remember this MS boy looking at -30 for highs up there when I left MS it was in 50s.
