Update...it's been snowing for over a week in Scotland now,
check out these Scottish Power engineers fixing power lines brought down by the snow in Braemar, Scotland yesterday.
The camp site is just over the hill in the background but it's closed for winter.
Hope you like it.

Gonna hit 71F today here in Title Town in central Alabama. I may watch a bit of college baseball practice this afternoon after lunch. Tomorrow is supposed to be in the low 70s too.

Only low temp for the next 5-7 days looks like Saturday night which might get below freezing.

Should be leaving for my first camping trip of the season in 4.5 weeks so it needs to warm up a lot more.

Yikes! Not that familiar with Scottish weather, beer and scotch I am familiar with, it looks like you're getting as much snow as we are in the middle USA.
Well, at least you can enjoy the skiing, and it does look beautiful.

I've been in GA for a few weeks for work, but it's been cool and rainy the last few days. I go home tomorrow. This is what's waiting to greet me.

I have to pick up the 5er from the dealer on Friday. Going to be fun hooking it up in 0-5 degrees with 13 mph wind. Yowza

It looks like you are getting the weather a day before us. Although I think you have had a little more snow than we have. Several storms that went through your way and gone to the north of us. Welcome back to the deep freeze.

Another little hit of snow. More of a dusting on top of the dusting we had. It is still cold. Our normal high this time of February is the low 40s. We will be at least 20 degrees below that for the next week.

Good news is when it is this cold, the snow is really crunchy and easier to drive on.

I haven't mentioned lately (like in the last 48 hours) how much I hate cold weather. Below shows the Weather Channel's forecast for this Sunday, Valentine's Day. They have moderated their prediction a little. A few days ago it was -4 to 6 for a high. I also looked at the record low for Sunday. Our typical daily record low in February is -10 to -2 or so. Valentine's Day has apparently always been "nice"(relative term) with a record low of 9. This Sunday, the predicted high temp is 7. I can't ever recall the high for the day being below the record low.

They a have also pushed out the prediction for the next day with a temp above freezing to February 20th. As a reminder, our "average" high is 44.

This is Braemar campsite, the one I mentioned in my last post.
It's usually open all year for the skiing but it's closed for winter due to COVID.
Typically, we are having the best snow in years too.

We had 2-3” of snow the first weekend of Jamuary, and of looks like we have another round coming this week. This should be record lows matching ‘89 here in Texas. The forecast keeps getting lower and lower.
