Tell me some positives about LTT dinner...

I have a reservation for the LTT character dinner in April.

It doesn't take much to please me, DW & DD13...hot food and good service. I'm not expected a gourmet meal nor a server from a 5 star restaurant. Just the basics and a good character interaction.

I'd love to hear some positive experiences.

We were there last February. Based on your description of yourself, you'll like it just fine. It's very cute and relaxing in there, a little dark, but comfortable. The food was decent. Nothing special, but nothing truly bad either. As I recall it was turkey, ham, potatoes (mashed I think), green beans, carrots, rolls or some kind of bread. If you're a meat-and-potatoes kind of family, you'll probably enjoy it. The character interaction was charming and sweet, and if you stay long enough, the parade will go right by the door when you step outside.

LTT is one of my favorite character meals. I enjoy the food, and the characters are so cute in the colonial outfits. I eat at LTT at least once every trip.

i was very pleasantly surprised by LTT!
the food was very good (a real thankgiving dinner) . it's not an "adventurous" meal, but has a nice array of comfort foods with a homey feel ~ and lots of it!! the character interaction was great, they seemed not as rushed as at many b'fasts, spending time with each family, & including everyone, not only the children. i've only been once, but will def go back again, one of the most enjoyable meals i've had in WDW

I have to go there every trip! It's definitely my favorite character meal, maybe even favorite restaurant. I love the food because it's just as good (if not better) than Thanksgiving food at my house. And I agree that the character interaction is outstanding. I'm sure you'll have a wonderful meal there!

I know you are talking about the dinner but I highly recommend the lunch. We eat lunch there every trip. It is not character or buffett. The food is wonderful. Their crab cakes are out of this world and I live on the coast. If you ever get a chance, please go there for lunch. Not to mention their dessert menu, the pound cake is the best I have ever had!

4) Sectioned restaurants, so each niche holds 4-6 tables making it intimate
5) Watch afternoon parade and walk right into dinner.
6) Darker woods and paneling for homey atmosphere.

Sorry to jump in, but I wondered if LTT serves dessert during dinner time?

I was just looking at their menu on wdwinfo.com and the dinner family style meal doesn't list dessert. The dessert section is also only located on the lunch menu.

I'm assuming you can order dessert with dinner (even if it's separate cost)?

I have to say, I'm not usually one for dessert (usually too full from dinner by then), but that butter griddled pound cake looks so delicious!! I think I'm gonna have to force myself to order that when we go!! I hope it's available on the dinner menu!

So much fun. Chip, Dale and Goofy had a ball game in our section.

This is one of my favorite restaurants on property.

First of all - I love having Thanksgiving dinner that I didn't have to cook

Second - the food is very very good, and they also have ham (my oldest DD's favorite)

Third - the character interaction is great, and they take their time with the kids. We also saw each character more than once while we dined there

Forth - Our service was always great, and they always were awesome about bringing more food when a plate was empty.

This is just a great place!!!!!!!!!

Thanks again to all who posted. I know there are negative reviews about every attraction, restaurant, hotel, etc..., but it's nice to see nothing but positive things said about something in a thread without someone slamming it.

I'll tell you what, we have been eating at LTT for the past 10 years and we have never had a bad experience. In fact, it's one of our favorites. I think people go there and expect a fine dining experience. While it's a good restaurant, it's down home, comfortable and good cooking. The character interaction is awesome and the atmosphere is relaxing. I am of the belief that you give it a try yourself, and form your own opinion. We'll be there on the 20th of this month, and I'll send you a review when I get back!

We've done it a few times and when we did it this past december we had great character action. The characters kept coming back by to say hello. The food is pretty good and the atmosphere is good too. Just be careful not to be blocked by the parade if your adr is a later one.

This is the one restaurant that my husband, my parents, my daughter, and I all love going back to each year.

My parents love the food. My daughter and I love the character interaction.

My daughter's favorite story to tell from her 4 trips to Disney is a Chip and Dale story from LTT. Last year she wanted Chip and Dale stuffed animals as her souvenier. After much searching for the perfect ones, we were able to find them in Toon Town right before our dinner at LTT. I'm so happy she had them with her! Chip and Dale went crazy seeing them! On Dale's second trip around to our table, he "stole" the Dale doll when my daughter wasn't looking. He tucked it in his apron and continued to other tables. We have a really cute photo of him signing other people's autograph books with the little Dale tucked in! We pointed it out to our daughter, and she had to chase after him to get the doll back. The cast member with Dale scolded him until he returned it. It was a lot of fun for us!
