First time at this board it self ...

How does this dvc rent/ trade thing work can someone explain this to me?
Because I would possibly like to do something like this for November 17 - 26.....

So any information would be appreciated....

You decide which resort you'd like to try to get a reservation, how large a room etc so someone can check the availability. This has to be done with a phone call by the member to the reservations section. The DVC point charts that you can access (at the top of this page) will give you an idea of how many points are required each night for the type of room you'd like. Points are sold to non-members for usually between $9-12 a point - how you work paying for them and how much is up to the both of you - a money order or paypal account seems to be most common...its fairly simple...

So than for BVC I would need 165 points and for OKW I would need 136 so if it is $9 a point than it would be 1485.00 from 11/17-11/26 (BVC) and for (OKW) it would be 1224.00 correct?

But do you have to be a member of some sort or what?

You really need to read the FAQs at the top of the page for the Rent/Trade Board. That should help you a lot.

Also remember the F&W is going on then (Food and Wine) as well as being a pretty advanced ressie. $9 per point is lucky, you may want to bank on a $10 to $12 per point....which is still a bargain....remember treat who ever rents to you right...meaning payments and communication..
