keep in mind hoping to be staying at BCV
big fan of Off Kilter

I would do all of my favorite things.. eat at my favorite resturants.. take in the sight and smells of WDW..

Me, I'd ride Buzz Lightyear about a hundred times. :) You don't say when you're going, but I'd just plan a whole day of doing whatever you love to do, with at least some emphasis on the things you like to do that your usual traveling companions may not be so enthused about. Favorite snacks/restaurants/shows, people watching, favorite rides, shopping..... the day is yours!

I'd be sure to get a birthday button at each park and then wear it proudly and prominently. It's bound to start conversations with the CMs.

the first few days - the food/wine festavial will still be going - so go celebrate:woohoo: :drinking1

just got the days
**The dates for the 2007 Festival are September 28-November 11**

you are missing most of it.

Yes I do realize I'll be there at the very tale end. But Im not changing to week before because my 50th bday is the 13th!

but the good news is that you will be able to enjoy the F&W festival for a few days and walk around the world showcase and see the street performers and taste the different foods.. maybe catch one of the special workshops..

I was there around 11/11 2 years ago and the weather was wonderful.. not too hot and sticky but definately warm and comfortable... great time to enjoy WDW...

thank you
would you sign up for a special tour? im thinking the dolphins at living seas?

i signed up for the garden tour during the flower & garden fest in 07

congradulations i just celebrated my 50th birthday at wdw and dcl in october, my birthday is october 20th, i went solo as my kids had just bought a house and didnt wanted to come with me, i thought oh no im going to be, bored, scared, lonely, etc. WRONG!!!! i had a ball alone, i got there on monday the 16th and checked into pop century, did some shopping had a lesirely meal and just relaxed for the rest of evening, on tuesday i got up went shopping all day at downtown disney, ate at the earl of sandwich which i enjoyed so much i went back a 2nd time during trip, rhen i went to mnsshp stayed out til 1 am at the parks i enjoyed the parades, fireworks, rides, and the freedom to do what i wanted to do, then wednesday am i got up checked into dolphin resort which i personally did not care for, and took the boat over to epcot for the day i ate where i want again i went to see shows i usually dont get to see when i have have kids and grandkids with me like american adventure ireally enjoyed myself, next morning i got up and went on disney cruise which is a whole another adventure, then next am was my actual birthday so i spent half the day in spa and then i went ashore shopping in nassaua and bought myself a small chocollate rum cake yummy!!!, next am i was in castaway cay andspent day at beach which by the way weather is beautiful oct and november, then next day instead of going to airport and waiting all day for plane i went back to disney back to pop century as a matter of fact and went and finished doing all the things i wanted to do , next morning back for early flight home and i was back in ct by 11 am with kids and grandson, while on vacation my daughter called me mega times on cell phone to see what i was doing, so it was kinda like she was with me anyhow i think she missed me and wdw more than i missed her, but seriously i would go alone again, the nicest thing is i got all the towels in the shower just for me and i dint have to wear pjs if i didnt want too and all the free shampoos and body cremes were all mine,!!!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Yes I do realize I'll be there at the very tale end. But Im not changing to week before because my 50th bday is the 13th!

We share the same birthday! :woohoo: But not the same year. ;)
I've celebrated birthdays 27, 30 and 33 at WDW, mostly because the
Food and Wine Festival used to run during "our" birthday.

I've worn birthday buttons, eaten at my favorite restaurants, and done
lots of "slow down" things like live entertainment, which many people tend
to pass up on the way to E-Ticket attractions.

I agree that the best thing is to go with whatever whim you fancy.
You want ice cream for lunch? Go for it! It's your birthday, after all.

This will not come as much of a surprise to my family and friends, including some of DISfriends. I will spend my 50th golfing at Eagle Pine and Osprey Ridge followed by a nice meal at the Yachtsman's Steakhouse and then the Illiumination cruise. The only thing that would make it nicer, would be a Disney Princess princess: at my side.

I'd look to see if there was a F&W fest event on the 10th or 11th to attend - one of the pricey (but worth it) dinners. I sent DH to wine school for his birthday when we were there this year. I didn't go because of the cost - my mom tried to get me a ticket the day before as a gift, but they were long sold out. He made friends as they sat people at tables of 4 or 6 and *many* people were there solo.

I'd make some ADRs for great restaurants - probably using the dining plan. If no dining plan, I'd do the afternoon tea at GF.

Keep all the suggestions coming!!

I too will be celebrating my 60th b'day...solo..in May.:goodvibes
This trip will be for 10 days and I've decided to DO everything I haven't done before (in the 34 yrs. Ive visited WDW).:lmao: :lmao:

Yep...tot, ee, ms and aero-whoever...:scared1:

Im in the process of planning a tour or 2, maybe EPCOT or AK backstage tour, eat at "new" restaurants..i.e. V&A, Citrocose, Blue Zoo, Shula's...etc.

Oh..so much to do..so little time:rolleyes1

I just spent my birthday in WDW alone for 4 days. Do what you love and mix in new things you've always wanted to do and try. Maybe take a tour that is in interest to you. Wear a birthday button in each park. Also treat yourself! My big treat was the Grand Tea at the Grand Floridan which was a nice midday relaxor. I even got a free cupcake, crown and the whole room sang me happy birthday. But remember your birthday is yours so do what you want when you want and how you want.

I am so disappointed in you all. :confused3

Not one of you came up with the obvious answer - -

Find TWO 25 year old guys to keep you company in the parks.

Nope?? I will be 60 in just a couple of years myself and I would not be interested in guys younger than my own children and even though I am partial to 'older' guys, at my age those guys are either in nursing homes or the graveyard.

Lucky for me I am good company for myself. That is what I say when I am talking to myself at least.

On a more serious note, do whatever you enjoy and all will work out just fine. One good thing about being mature is that you know who you are by now and you are still young enough to do things you enjoy. Have a blast and Happy Birthday!!!

senecabeach, you Joisey gals know how to live. One of my very favorite people in the world lives in Jersey and many of my other Suite mates (over on the CC) have Jersey connections. Never a dull moment around you guys!!:cheer2:

Feel free to pop in. Kinda quiet right now as many of our members are in Florida right now. The rest of us are planning our next trip(s).:coffee:

Keep on playing.
