Tell me all about Allstar Sports

Hi--

All Star Sports rooms are HOT HOT HOT. They don't have a ceiling fan, so we ended up buying our own. I would stay elsewhere, IMO.

ObsessedwiththeMouse, the first thing I do whenever I get in any motel room is crank the a/c down, way down. I have read reports about some of the rooms being motion activated but I have not seen that in my travels.

That being said, I have an asthma problem and use a small personal sized fan at home to blow on my face and give me some air while I am sleeping without turning my dh into a popsicle but I have to use that EVERYWHERE.

Maybe you got a defective a/c thermostat?

Sports, or any other resort is not for anyone and I imagine if I had had a bad experience the first time out I might not like it either. Since I did not I do but am just as glad that not everyone likes it as there would be no room for ME.

Well, I am glad to hear good things about All Star Sports. Being our first trip, I wanted to stay at the POP, but by the the time Free Dining was open to the general public, POP was booked, ASMo was booked, and ASMu was booked. SO I had to settle for ASsp. I am not a huge sports fan, but DH is, however, I don't plan to be at the reort much anyway.. LOL!

I was given the option of that, or ASMusic, and thought my family would like the Sports theme better.

I was feeling slightly bummed about not getting Pop, but hey, at least I am going to the Dis!!!

I didn't even have that option, but I feel the same as you..atleast I get to go!

We have always stayed at POP and have loved the Frozen Cokes. Are they at ASSp? What do they have at their beverage stations?

We love getting our refillable mugs the first day and I am just curious.

We are excited to explore the AS resorts!

amy4bruce, sorry no slushes unless they have added them since last fall. If you have children with you make sure to go down to Movies and check out Andy's Room,the courtyard with all the Toy Story icons. They have a really good playground there too. It is quite a long walk from one resort to another though. You could take a bus down and maybe find a kind bus driver who would drop you back off on his way back up toward Buena Vista?

M2DD's, hey, you again! They are always updating and the scuttlebutt is that they are getting ready to do a major rehaul of Sports sometime. Yes, they have a/c. All Disney rooms are pretty nice, compared to those in the real world, even the Values. The only thing I really miss is not having a comfortable chair but since we are not in the room all that much it is bearable.

PrincessJasmine1972, the Free Dining will more than make up for lack of decorations. Even I do not think the All Star resorts are all that pretty. Not bad, just not worth sitting and looking at. It is the people that are more my speed. I am a plain old regular folk. Have friends of all sorts but love my barefoot friends the best.
