Each trip we try and eat at at least one new restaurant. We are going to try Trail's End buffet for the first time this trip. Can anyone tell me about this buffet? Is it a buffet or a cafeteria? Please share your reviews with me! There will be four of us that evening.

Trails End is a buffet with basic home style food -- fried chicken, rosat beef, corn bread, salad. The food is good and price is pretty reasonable. We usally go to lunch there on last day and rent bikes or just walk around the camp grounds.

We just ate their on our first camping trip.

It was me, my wife, and my son. We had breakfast and it was GREAT. The cost was $9.99 for adults and $5.99 for my son and included coffee, juice, milk, etc. It is buffet style and included:
Bacon, Eggs, Sausage, Omelettes
Bread, biscuits, KK doughnuts, pastries
Potatoes, Corned Beef Hash
Breakfast Pizza, Grits, Oatmeal
Sausage, biscuits, and gravy
Mickey waffles and toppings
Fruit, hot and cold cereals..............and more

We will try it for dinner on Father's day in June.

We had lunch and dinner there during our recent trip. We preferred the value of the lunch (9.99) over the dinner (15.99). They added ribs and "buffalo sausage" to the selection at dinner. The ribs were very fatty to me and no way was I touching buffalo sausage!

It was a great deal for lunch and a nice escape from the rat race.

In April, we had lunch at one of our favorite lunch spots the "Trail's End Buffeteria." We were disappointed this time and probably won't be returning for a while. There were very few tables occupied when we walked in. This wasn't a good sign.
Many items on the buffet were either running low or looked like they've been there a while. The best of the buffet was the fried chicken, but for almost our entire meal, there were only legs and thighs. I don't know what happened to the buffet of the past, but it wasn't the same this time.

But how busy does it get for lunch?

I think Trail End have excellent food for the place to be a buffet. I enjoy my visit July 4th weekend the ribs where excellent.

During Spring Break it used to be fairly busy. This time, there were only 4 or 5 tables with people. This has always been one of my son's favorite restaurants, but he was even disappointed this time. :(
