Tell me about the Poly Luau

Sorry, I can't get the Search to work.

My girls have been taking hula dancing lessons so they are very excited to do the Poly Luau, so we will be using 2TS credits for it during free dining.

I have seen the menu but am confused on how it is served. Is it a buffet? Family Style? Pre Plated? Is it all you care to eat? Looking at the menu I think the ribs are all I would like--can I request more if necessary?

Do the kids have to eat what is on the "kids menu"? DD 6 will prefer the ribs and chicken to the other choices. Do they "order" one thing?

Are the non alcoholic drinks worth the charge? Since Dining is free I am willing to splurge a little on things like that for us (I generally don't drink alcohol). Any one n/a drink better than the others?

Any more details you can give about the entertainment? Do they give out Lei's or should we bring our own?

It is served family style, all in the middle of the table, and you can ask for more. They give out leis

The entertainment was really good, IMO - seemed very authentic. The entertainment was geared toward the entire family. There were gorgeous ladies for the men, hot men for the ladies, and plenty of dancing activity for the little ones. I don't mean to make it sound raunchy. It wasn't. But the girls were very pretty and the guys quite muscular. Me and DH did quite a bit of hootin' and hollerin'. As far as the food ... well it wasn't so good, but the unlimited draft filled me up plenty.

My kids loved it and are requesting to go again on our next trip. I have quite a few pictures of the luau HERE on my site. The picture in my sig is actually from the luau. The leis we're wearing were given to everyone.
