Especially the Adventurers Club and the Rock 'n' Roll Beach Club.

How interactive is the Adventurers? Can it be embarrassing for some people?

How many kids actually go to PI?

Just thinking of going over Christmas.

Thanks for any and all information.

Adventure club is the only club that I would consider taking a child to ...and maybe an early comedy apperance. IMPO I don't think children should be alloweed in beach club, I wish it were like Manquins (sp) over 21. Its a true bar and dance club. The bands haave always been great when we go. Everyone sems to have ALOT to drink. We use Kidsniteout.com when ever we go to PI, Camille is an awesome child care provider and they are very reasonabley priced for excellent child care. Good luck with your decisioin. As far as theadventure club goes the worst crack we ever got was when one of the actors told everyone to cllap and welcome my DH from The Smashing Zuccini.:teeth: He is rather trendy and she was refering to the band smashing pumpkins!!! Hey after having a few drinks it was funny to me!!!

Pleasure Island is essentially a giant bar, which is most of it's charm for adults and most of the reason many adults don't take their children.

The Adventurer's Club or Comedy Club early in the evening might be ok for a child aged 10 or over (mine won't be going until he's at least 13) but I'd high tail it out of there right afterwards. The drinking isn't confined to the clubs...it's out in the streets as well.

The Adventurer's Club can indeed be embarrassing for some people, but not in any sort of mean way. I've seen some absolutely hilarious things that would have made me embarrassed (having to sing on stage!), but were also obviously just good fun. It does get a bit raunchier as the night goes on.

The Rock and Roll Beach Club is generally busy, but if you believe the bars at home are not appropriate for children, then it's not appropriate either. It's definitely a bar.

Enjoy! Pleasure Island is lots of good adult fun!

Thanks for that information.

I should just say - there are only 2 adults in my party, me and my mum :p . The kids question was because I want to avoid them if possible.

I know WDW = kids but I don't really want all that on a night out if I can avoid it.

There are very few kids at PI. On at least one occassion, we saw NO kids at all. DH and I are not into the bar scene, but we love the Comedy Club and Adventurer's Club. In fact, those are the only two we go to. The Comedy Club is a theater. And the Adventurer's Club is not like any bar you have likely been in before. It has quite a unique layout with a secret room (library w/stage) behind a bookcase, and two side rooms with shows as well. (You need to be there at the right time to be invited in...just ask a CM who works there for a schedule>) The rest of the clubs on PI are more like what you would see in any city....with a bar, music, and a dance floor.

Most clubs seemed to have 2-3 kids in them. Many places didn't even open until 9pm and by then, most of the kids were gone.

I thought the Adventurer's club was too packed to enjoy and while I loved the theming, I kind of didn't get the show. I was disappointed because I was looking forward to it.
