We're thinking of an anniversary dinner here in September. We've never dined here. What do you recommend? What isn't good? Thank you!!

We just had dinner there Friday Night (2/24) with our good friends from Conn. We were running late for our 8:45pm, so they would not seat the other couple until we arrived (this is understandable and common practice). We got there at 9:15 and our server was Janet, she was a doll, she did not rush us at all. We had a pre-dinner cocktail, then ordered soup and salads. I had the Roasted Butternut Squash Soup - with lump crab and minced chives ($8.00), and it was terrific. Soon after this arrived Wishes started at the Magic Kingdom (10pm), so we watched from our window table, just every once in a while somebody outside stepped into our way. They lower the lights and play the soundtrack in the restaurant so you don't have to go outside if you don't want to.
At our table we had a Grilled Filet Mignon with potato gratin and sauce bearnaise ($34.00), cooked to perfection at medium rare, Grilled Wild Salmon with fork crushed fingerling potatoes, wilted chard, toasted pistachios and a Madeira-saffron sauce ($32.00), and I had the Snapper. It was a nice sized piece of fish, resting on top of vegetables. Everybody was very happy with their dinners. For dessert, I got the signature Almond Crusted Cheesecake with cherry sauce ($6.99), and we also had Narcoossee's Expedition Everest - Hazelnut chocolate ganache cake with raspberry, chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream ($5.99). The cheesecake was utterly fantastic! Oh the coffee is served in a genuine coffee press, so its definitely not instant!
While enjoying dinner, dessert and conversation, time slipped away until we were the last table in the entire restaurant. Not once did Janet complain, or try to hurry us along.
My wife says that this is now here favorite Disney Restaurant, I still lean towards Yachtsman Steakhouse, but we enjoy every meal we have at Disney! That's what great about being a local.

My DS (17) and I had a wonderful meal there last August on the dining plan. The mussel appetizer was incredible. The crab cakes were ok (not Maryland style at all, tho) We had surf & turf which was very good. The real standout of the evening was DS's dessert. A Strawberry Rhubarb Cobbler with Cinnamon Ice Cream. Out of this World delicious.

Our server was fantastic & we loved the atmosphere. Our server recommended we go outside on the deck to watch the Fireworks even tho we had a clear window view. I'm glad he did as the deck filled up & the the window views would have been blocked.

DS & I deemed it the Best Night of the Trip. He loved it so much, he made reservations for he & his 3 buddies to eat there July 4th on their Graduation Trip. This will be their Celebration Dinner.
