Can you believe I've been to WDW 5 times and I've never been inside the Main St. Bakery? I know, it's just a sin. I plan to rectify that this trip (Aug.).

We're on the dining plan and plan to eat many cs breakfasts at Roaring Forks (WL). One day though we thought it might be good to eat at MK instead though for breakfast (CS only - we're already doing CP for character breakfast).

Can anyone tell me what breakfast foods they have? I looked on allears and they didn't list much. Do they serve any hot breakfast items? Is this place considered a CS or a snack place??

I know I have eatin there many times but at night for snacks during the fireworks. They have the best ice cream and hot toll house cookie sandwich. We always go for dessert. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

My husband and I have gone many times for breakfast.
It's super-duper-awesome continental breakfast fare. Danishes, muffins, yogurt, granola, cinnamon buns, coffee cake, tarts, fruit turnovers, Krispy Kreme doughnuts, bagels, cream cheese... yadda yadda. Everything is delicious, of course.

For the love of all that is holy, take my advice. GO EARLY.
Everytime we go, we get there not long after the park opens and the line is out the door already. I'm sure some people have experienced smaller lines, but still, better to be early and safe than sorry. As I remember, there's no hot items per se like eggs or sausage. For that, I understand Cosmic Ray's offers that kind of breakfast in more of a CS way.
I hope this helps and I'll see you at breakfast!

I definately want to try this place when we go in September. The thought of that warm toll house ice cream cookie sandwich...mmmmmmmm. :earseek: Can you tell me where it is located???

It is toward the end of Main street on the right side(if you are facing the castle)right before the ice cream shop. May the Mickey be with you(disers know the force too!!). ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

when you use the MYW dining plan counter service at Main Street Bakery, they let you get 2 items plus a small drink. I thought this was a rip as normally you get at least 3 items (say hamburger, fries and dessert) plus drink.

The snack items were NOT any of the fancy things, but the prepackaged things you can get anywhere... :sad2:

I LOVED the stuff we got though, paid out of pocket instead of w/dining plan - a HUGE cinnamon bun (bigger than my hand spread wide) and an apple pie type thing. Yummy and filling.

But as I said, using a counter service for it wasnt' wise.

Oh my gosh- you have to get one. My friend and I split one last year and it was soooooo good! Two huge toll house cookies (or you can get sugar cookies) with 3 heaping scoops of the ice cream of your choice. The CM that made it for us that day squished it down really hard and smiled and added a little more ice cream. She became my new best friend. :cloud9:

The Bakery isn't nearly as good as it used to be.

We always got the toll house ice cream sandwich - but last year the cookies were not warm or fresh. If you want one of these delicious treats buy them in Liberty Square. Haven't been disappointed there yet.

I agree with paying for the bakery out of pocket. Save,if possibe, the CS for a lunch meal or perhaps a restaurant that will have more substantial breakfast choices. I don't have the list in front of me but I believe there are a couple of CS restaurants for breakfast.

We love!!!! the French Toast Loaf. We usually split one for a "light" (lol) breakfast before our lunch buffet. It is really delicious.

Have a Great Trip!!!

Dh and I love to split a HUGE cinnamon roll and the fruit w/cottage cheese for breakfast. If you go first thing, the rolls are still hot. Yummmm!!!

All I can say about that place is BLUEBERRY MUFFINS!!! They are awesome. I always have to have at least 2 while in WDW.

Another positive on the french toast loaf. We tried it our last trip and thought it was delicious. I really like bread pudding, and it kind of had a bread pudding taste to it to me.

Another vote for the French Toast Loaf...tried it for the first time last trip. Oh my Goodness, it was AMAZING!! Can't wait to get back in January for another slice. Enjoy.

Oh, those cookies! We have a mid-morning snack here on every trip! The cookie and icecream sandwiches are tasty as well, but quite messy (not that I care).

We usually stop in at park closing and pick up the HUGE cinnamon rolls. They are a great midnight snack and are so huge we always have left overs for breakfast the next morning. Be carefull if you are riding the bus back to your resort. There have been a couple of times that I wasn't sure they would make it past all the tired and hungry people who were rding with us. I have seen the look of envy and it isn't pretty!

They also have really good fudge! We bought one piece of Cookie Dough flavored and it was so big that we spent our whole week picking pieces off of it- YUM!!

Also, just wanted to add that the menu on allearsnet says they do have hot breakfast items. I know it's not eggs or sausage type things like PrincessMelissa stated, but what do they consider to be hot items?

Three words: French Toast Loaf!!!! We went to the MK for EMH last Friday, and since we skipped breakfast at the resort so we could get there early, we ducked into the bakery for something to eat. The french toast loaf was heavenly! I found the recipe for it on the internet, and I fully intend on recreating it at home.
