Tell me about HH in May please.

We have reservations for VB in May after a few days at WDW.

We started thinking today about possibly trying to switch to HH.

What is HH like around the last week of May. We would be there May 24-30?

Do you think we would be able to reserve anything?

Our anniversary is on 5/29. What are our chances of being able to secure the event with Chef Gordon?

Thanks in advance.

P.S. I'd love to see pictures of HH :teeth:

HH will be very busy at that time with vacations starting for the Memorial Day weekend - the start of the summer season for HH.

The temps will be in the 80's, the ocean will be great for swimming and the resort activities will be in full swing.

As for reservations and "A Private Affair" availability, you'll never know until you call MS for the reservation and the resort for the dinner plans. You are just over 4 months away from arrival date.

Good Luck! :)

FLORIDAFAM................. We joined DVC in Feb, 2002 and booked the Sunday before Memorial Day until the Friday after Memorial Day of 2002 with no problem (a 1BR, in case you're curious).

As far as reservations with Chef Gordon, I don't know. We didn't get a chance to even think about that.

We've also been to VB around that time of year (in 2003) and loved it!

Either way, you cannot go wrong.:hyper:

Good Luck!

Dave

Thanks.

We still have our reservations at VB. Not sure what we will do. I guess I'll give MS a call and see what's available.

Thanks again.:D

Hmm, I thought I had responded to this a couple days ago, but it must be floating around in cyber-land somewhere! :hyper:

I spoke with one of the Recreation CMs last week when we were there; she said that April is usually busy, but May thins out again until Memorial Day weekend. After that, it's packed for the rest of the summer.

But this far out, I'd bet you will be able to get something. It may have to be a 2BR, because of the limited number of studios, 1BRs, and GVs, tho.

Email Chef Gordon to see what's available. Again, while the evenings of Memorial Day weekend might be booked already, I'd be willing to bet you could get A Private Affair for earlier in your stay. (I know you'd probably like it on your anniversary...) Chef Gordon is out of town for a while, so if you don't hear from him right away, be patient! He's very good about responding, whether he has good news for you or not.

As far as pictures go, try Tommy's site (sorry I don't have the link handy, but I'm sure someone will); I think Doc also has some posted somewhere!
