Tell me about Fort Wilderness

We are thinking about staying at Fort Wilderness this june.We have friends that have a large camper and we would be staying with them.We are also following them down in our car.Will we able to park at the campsite?Exactly what all do we need to bring....this will our first time camping and are completely lost about what to do...Give me all the ends and out of Fw...no detail will be to small.thanks

You might get better results if you post this on the Camping at Disney World Thread. There are some wonderful people with an extensive knowledge about FW.

Only one car per site at Fort Wilderness. The second car will have to be parked at the main entrance and then you will have to take a bus back to the site.

Yup post on the camping board and you'll get more answers than you can read. Only 1 car per site is correct, but that shouldn't be a problem since there is good internal transportation. If you like camping, camp fire sing along, Disney movies and an all around great experience, you'll like FW.
