We’ve been to Disney over 20 times and utilize Early Morning Hours every trip. We’re the crazy people who get there before the park opens and rarely wait in lines. Our boys are older now and are bringing friends so I thought maybe the evening hours might be better but we’ve never done them. How do they work? How do they know you’re a resort guest? And are the lines long? Thanks!

2)How do they know you’re a resort guest?
3)And are the lines long? Thanks!

I haven't done them personally, but I had a thread about it about a month ago.

1) MK has an evening EMH on Wednesday and EPCOT on Tuesday. They run two hours. EPCOT is always 9-11 as they don't typically extend hours. MK varies. While I'm there in June it'll either be 10-12 or 11-1.
2) I believe I was told on my thread they scan your band to see if you are a resort guest.
3) Again, on my thread, they said the first hour lines can be long depending on the ride. Mine Train typically is the one with the longest line. Now if EMH runs from 11-1, you'll find the lines to be much better by midnight if I remember correctly.

Hope I've helped!

We did MK 10:00-12:00 last summer. It was pretty crowded up until about 11:30. That might not be that way every MK EMH but it was for us.
We also have done an Epcot evening EMH. We pretty much stayed in World Showcase though. We did ride Soarin with about 10 minute wait and Test Track walk on right before closing.

Night time EMH is pretty crowded at MK, especially since they're down to one a week most of the time. The later you stay, the lower the crowds will be, but there are 90,000 resort guests at any given time. If two thirds of them want to take advantage of a night time EMH, that's a pretty big crowd.

The only evening EMH that we feel is worth it is Epcot. The evening emh there is really nice, especially if you plan to walk through world showcase. The evening emh at mk really isn’t great. It stays pretty crowded throughout the whole thing.

They’ll know if you’re staying at a Disney resort when you scan your magic band at rides.
