I just started back listing on Ebay and I'm using sellersourcebook. (I hope I'm allowed to talk about this-let me know if I'm not). Anyway, anyone out there who uses this, can you tell me the do and don'ts. I learned one don't last night. "Don't delete your pics because then they'll disappear in your listings, too." But I was able to retrieve them as I found that you can undelete. I spent a lot of time though figuring it out. Also, one of my listings doesn't show in my saved listings, but it's on Ebay and one shows twice in my saved listings - can't figure this one out.

I don't use it but a lot of people on the eBay community boards do. You might ask/search on one of those.

Go to ebay lookat the top right hand side and click community them look for Discussion Boards.

I've never heard of the sellersource book. Have you found it helpful?

It makes very nice auctions and it's not hard to use. It's just basically fill in the blanks. I just think I'd love some pointers.

What kind of pointers are you looking for? Is there something you are having problems with or are you just needing general advice.

I'm wondering about why in my saved listings it has some of my listings twice. Then there's one on ebay that isn't even in my saved stuff. But I guess I learned the big no-no was do not delete your pics before auction ends. I guess I'm just looking for things someone might think, hey, I didn't know that u could do that.

Is there a way to use your sellersourcebook templates with Turbolister or is there any way to schedule the auctions with SSB?

Well there are two ways to save a listing - a regular "Save" and a "Save as New".

For example say you had been working on your listing and choose to save it half way thru. You finish up and want to save the rest of your work. If you go to the save menu you have the option to "Save" (save the current listing) or "Save as New" (retain your previously saved version and save this one as a new listing).

I have a feeling maybe at one time you did a "Save" and a "Save as New" on a listing you were working on. Don't worry, they both won't launch unless you actually go in and click the launch button on them both.

But, there is a tip for you with the saving! Say you have a bunch of similar items you wanna list; let's say you have 3 blouses but in different sizes. You can create the first listing and save it. Then, while you are still on the listing page, swap out the size details for blouse number 2, then do a "Save as New". And then do it again for blouse number 3. You just made 3 listings really fast by using the "Save as New" button.

As far as the pictures and deleting them. When you make your auction and select your photos you are telling the site (and ultimately eBay) here is where the pictures reside on the internet. If you take the pictures out of your account eBay has no way of seeing them. They have to stay up in your account until the auction ends.

Yup, it works with TurboLister but sorry I would not be able to tell you how. If you email support they can tell you how to set it all up though.

There was an announcement on the site this weekend about the new scheduler and asking people to email in if they wanted to try it out. It is not available to everyone yet but should be soon. If you email support and ask to try out the scheduler they should let you.

I love sellersourcebook! It makes listing so much easier for me. My listings look so professional. I was also going to say you probably pressed save as new when you tried to save your listing the second time.

My Ebay user name is rodeni26, check out the listing I have up now, I love all the Gymboree templates they have!!

Thanks for the responses. That's the kind of info I was looking for. I'm sure that's what I did on the save stuff. Why do you think I've got a listing that is on Ebay and not on my saved listing? Is it because I didn't save it? That would make sense. Just launching it, I guess, doesn't save it. Also, say you want to copy from another listing. Do you have to save the current and then go and copy from another saved and then go back and paste? Or is there an easier way? I hope that one makes sense!!!

If it is payment and shipping stuff you might want to look at setting up your preferences so you don't have to type in that stuff all the time.

Anything else you would have to copy from the saved one and paste it into the new one. Or you could open the saved one to begin with, use it to make you new auction then do the Save As New.
