I would like to broaden our horizons and try a few new restaurants this upcoming trip. One in particular I am interested in is Chefs de France. Can anyone tell me about your experiences there? Is lunch better than dinner? What are your favorites there? Any input would be greatly appreciated.:)

I love the food at Chefs and it's a must do for me every trip. My upcoming trip I am dining there twice. I have been there for both lunch and dinner but prefer lunch. They have a "fixed price" 3 course meal that includes appetizer, entree and dessert for $20.00. It's such a bargain for all those courses and the food choices they offer with this special are good.

My favorites are the french onion soup, toasted ham & cheese sandwich or the baked macaroni & cheese with Gruyere cheese and the creme brulee. I have also tried many other items on their lunch and dinner menus and have never been disappointed.

I definitely think it's worth a try and you get to see Remy if you dine during lunch hours.

I saw the $20.00 lunch on the menu and that really peaked my interest. All the choices sounded really good. Thanks for your input.:)

my parents wanted to try something different for dinner as well, and i was hesitant to try french food but im glad we went because my meal was delicious! i got the salmon with tomato bernaise and ratatouille. the salmon was melt in your mouth and quite tasty, the ratatouille, however, i couldve done without. if you go, try the profiteroles for dessert! yummy!

Is Remy there any set time, or just throughout the lunch service? Thanks! We're doing lunch during our August trip.

Remy's current hours (not guaranteed for future visits but these have been pretty consistent)

Inside Les Chefs de France.
Monday-Saturday at 12:30, 1:40, 2:50 & 5:20pm

He appears in the dining room at these times and makes his way around the restaurant, pushed on a cart by his handler (Remy is a rat sized "Living Character", not a full costumed character). If you are seated after he passes, he will not come back - he makes one circuit around the restaurant and then disappears until the next set.

I can't comment on lunch but we had dinner there once and it was great! I would love to try lunch on our next trip.

We love going to Chefs de France. It is one of our must-dos when we travel. We have had reservations around 4:30-5:30 pm and have seen Remy for the last two times.

We really enjoyed Chef's! We tried it for the first time in March - and primarily to see Remy at lunch. Our boys loved meeting Remy, but we would return to Chef's even without Remy. Food was great, service was very friendly, atmosphere was lively but not crowded, and we had a great view out of the window near the front. We have ADRs for our arrival day lunch next trip!!

We tried Le Chefs de France and it was good. Not great, but good. The restaurant was packed and the servers ran around like chickens with the heads cut off. I think our server was too busy to really take care of us, but he was trying. I did not blame him . . . . I think he was given too many tables to care for. The food was not memorable, but I would try it again. I would hope for a different experience. :confused3:confused3

Last time we ate at Chefs there were 5 of us for dinner.

We had an awesome server ( I know I read here that many find them rude at Chefs) We had a few appetizers, I only remember one and it was yummy. A mushroom flatbread. All had soup but me, French onion and leek and potato.

Two of us had the duck, one had the chicken, one had the beef and another had the short ribs. All dishes were wonderful.

Before we left the manager can to our table to see how we enjoyed our meal.

Love Chefs and will return.

We eat there every trip, and sometimes more than once. We love the food, atmosphere and never had a bad meal there.

My girlfriend and I ate there a couple of weeks ago for dinner. I had eaten at Bistro before (years ago) and this was both of our first visits to Chefs. At the end of the trip I was talking to my girlfriend about our meals and what we should do again and not do again. We both decided that this has entered our list of "Must Do's" on future trips. She had the beed tenderloin in a blackpepper sauce or something I think it was which was fantastic. The beef was so tender she was able to cut it with a butter knife. I had the seafood skewer which was also very good. It is worth a try in my book.

P.S. For a good pre and/or post meal drink, try the Grey Goose slushie which can be found right across from the restaurant. Tres Bien!:thumbsup2

I was full when we ate there so it was okay but not great for me... Let's say it wad good. Speaking for the waitstaff... I wouldn't say they were rude, they were a bunch of young men and women from France hurrying to finish up working and I could here them talking about plans after work and for the weekend. I do think they each had too many tables, but they also seemed like college students at their job ready to party lol. At least that night that's how it was :) hth!!
