haven't seen a lot of pics of the food! We have a ADR for Sept-- but not sure if we are going to keep it for dinner-- or change it to lunch! Tell me your experience on your lunch or dinner at captains grill-- and post a pic of what you got good to eat:) I would love to see a pic of the turkey sandwhich for lunch!

I would definitely do for lunch but I think I'd skip for dinner. There's so many other places for dinner - Yatchman, the Boardwalk area and even the Swan & Dolphin.

Captain's Grill has some great sandwich's and we have always had excellent service there. Sorry no pics!

I have read and heard alot of great things about the dinners at Captains Grill. We have an ADR for there in August. I saw some pics of their food on here and it looks great!!

We went for dinner and it was great. It's really worth going in my opinion.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Here's some pictures- this is my review of Captain's Grille from my trip report

This was about all we had time to do in EPCOT for the evening- we had dinner reservations at the Captain’s Grille at the Yacht club at 6:00 PM. It was our first time eating here and the perfect place for our arrival dinner. It was quiet (not crowded), close to our resort and it was great being waited on. Last year our arrival dinner was the Cape May Café, and although the food was great and we were even closer to our Beach Club room, the restaurant was chaotic and we were way too tired from our long day of travel and play in the parks to deal with the buffet lines.

I was taking photos of the family at the table and a nice woman came over and asked if I wanted to be in the picture too. Awesome. She snapped a great picture, I said thank you and when I turned around to see where she was sitting, I couldn’t find her. She came outta nowhere!

We had a great meal! Here are some photos. I had the snow crab legs, Mark had the Grilled Rib Eye, Nate had the NY Strip steak, of course and Ben had what he said were the best chicken nuggets ever! He made this declaration about the best chicken nuggets several times on the trip. The desserts were probably the least impressive part of meal.

NOTE: The food at Captain's Grille is well above average
and quite tasty, but pretty expensive for what your are getting.
At 25% less cost, or so, it would be well worth the price.
We are fond of the New York Strip and the Rosemary Pork
Chop. One would also expect a great plate presentation for the
price, but the plating looks like a local diner's Blue Plate Special.
The Gelato for dessert is a good cap for the meal. As a meal,
I would prefer lunch, as the sandwiches are tasty and the
price-value is good.

We ate dinner at the Captain's Grille last month simply on a whim. We wanted to try something new and different, knowing very well that we may be disappointed. Boy, were we wrong! The service was absolutely fantastic and the atmosphere was so relaxing. We both had the pork and were extremely impressed. I was so glad that we deviated from our "old standby" restaurants and gave it a try. I can only speak from our experience, but I can only say that both of us were impressed. We will definately return - overall it was an excellent evening.

I love the breakfast at Captain's Grille!! In fact, we are heading there today for breakfast. I wasn't too thrilled with lunch there, and never ate dinner there.

We've had dinner and lunch at the Captain's Grill and were very happy. It helps that we were staying at either BC or YC at the time.

Last summer I did the 3 course price fixed menu - New England Clam Chowder, Crab Cake and Key Lime Pie. Everything was great. DH had the 3 course meal too but different items. He was too full for dessert so I asked them to pack up the key lime pie - that's how good it was!

I had the lobster roll and DH had the tomato and mozzarella sandwich for lunch and we liked both of them.

This year we have an ADR for breakfast and dinner!

I usually order the lobster roll at lunch, though once neither the roll nor the lobster were fresh. I also like the chowder/shrimp salad sandwich combo.

Hope you like it, too.

:)

We eat here for breakfast and lunch often, but never dinner. We have tried dinner here several times and have never enjoyed the food. But lunch and breakfast have always been great. We tend to stay at the BWV or BCV, so this is easy for us.
