Surprising news actually...

I just watched the Warehouse 13 pilot and second episode. It's a good start - I like the premise, the characters, and the actors. I thought the second episode (robbing banks with sound) was a little far-fetched, but it's still a new series and I like it! The ratings have been great, so hopefully the series will get a little more "set" and a renewal will be made. It's on the SciFi (Syfy-how stupid) channel tonight at 9pm.

Eureka was moved to Fridays and it's doing well. I like that show - the last episode was so funny with Sheriff Andy, lol. Ratings-wise, it's doing well in the new day/time slot, but in August, it will have some real competition from Monk and Psych. (Both on USA Network, Fridays)

Who's looking forward to Monk's final season and the return of Psych next month?

Do be aware that sometimes video is blocked over borders. Are you sure that Americans can watch videos on ctv.ca?

bicker, that is so strange ~ I watched a clip of it (it is broken down into scenes of course) online this morning to see if it worked, and it played the advertisement and first scene beautifully. I went back and tried to watch the rest and it is telling me it is unavailable...not sure what to make of that. We do get CBC in our area because we are right on the Canadian border but not CTV so I guess I will have to hope for DVD if the series continues. Do you know if CTV series are generally available for viewing on DVD here in the U.S.?

It could be that they do recognize some IP nodes as being in the border area (but perhaps now you're showing up under a node that CTV doesn't recognize as being from a border area). (There are special FCC rules that apply to border areas, and it could be that Internet video licensing refers to those rules.)

I don't follow CTV series closely enough to know their path to DVD. A quick check of Netflix shows that they are planning on thinking about stocking The Listener:
http://www.netflix.com/Movie/The_Listener_Season_1/70117364
However, a year later, they're still "thinking about" stocking Flashpoint:
http://www.netflix.com/Movie/Flashpoint_Season_1/70100703
By the same token, Amazon.com is showing an availability date for Flashpoint Season 1 of October 13. And also, it looks like even retailer Target is thinking about stocking The Listener:

That makes sense. Thank you, as always, for the useful information! :goodvibes

I am finding myself enjoying TV much more these days (the older I get, the less I want to leave the house, LOL) and I'm really looking forward to the new shows this fall. I just noticed BBCA is going to have a series called Being Human (starts this Saturday 7/25 actually) that looks very interesting to me ~ anyone else checking this one out?

Does anyone know what happened with the (2nd) season finale of Primeval. I thought my DVR was going to record it 7/11 and 7/18, but apparently it didn't record anything on 7/11, it did record something 7/18 12:01AM, and will record something on 7/24 10:00PM. Will that get me the full Season Finale?

I'm not sure.
I know we skipped a week there, but I'm not remembering what week it was.
on Saturday they are playing a marathon leading up to the finale though.

That's alright... I actually posted that same question on some other website's "Primeval on BBC America" thread (i.e., a thread about Season 3). Dunno what I was thinking.

I am enjoying Warehouse 13 as well. I'm still working on this weeks episode, I keep falling asleep, but did like what I saw of it. And the name change to SyFy is just ridiculous :confused3
