Are you kidding me? They are moving Fringe to Thursday? Well then there won't be anything on Tuesday to watch and we'll be having fits trying to pick Fringe or the NBC comedies. Why does Fox constantly have to change their lineup?

Thanks for posting that Bicker, any idea why The Sarah Connors Chronicles weren't picked up? I was just starting to get into that show and I really liked the cliff hanger they had at the end of this season.

Sarah Connor Chronicles was the single least watched program on Fox, with an average rating of 1.25 STD 18-49 Live+SD, as compared to the typical low-end of the range for Fox to renew a series, of 2.67 (which is about what American Dad had). This year, Fox did renew stuff that they normally wouldn't have (Dollhouse and Till Death) but those show both were able to present a plan for slashing their budgets (imagine how boring Sarah Connor Chronicles would be with a low budget), and even despite that, this year both of those shows did significantly better than Sarah Connor Chronicles did.

So in a nutshell, it basically came down to too few people watching that show.

I'm pretty sure NBC is announcing theirs tomorrow and I have my fingers crossed for Chuck. It's not my absolute favorite show, but it is the one most in danger of cancelation.

PLEASE PLEASE don't let them cancel it!!!!

Chuck will be renewed, for 13 episodes. It will be substantially budget-reduced, though, so expected a lot of economizing.

Really?? That's awesome!
Thanks.. you made my day!

I saw an ad for The Cleveland Show last night. I can't wait to see what they do with that one. :)

Are you kidding me? They are moving Fringe to Thursday?
That's actually a vote of confidence, since Thursday is a much more lucrative night for television. And there is definitely headway to be made: Neither Grey's Anatomy nor CSI are as strong as it once was.

Well then there won't be anything on Tuesday to watch
We won't have problems like that: NCIS and The Mentalist are two of the best shows on television AFAWC.

and we'll be having fits trying to pick Fringe or the NBC comedies.
Time to get a dual-tuner DVR. :)

Okay, considering the economy these days I can understand Fox not renewing T:TSCC for budgetary reasons. I don't like it, but I can understand. Maybe if Terminator Salvation does extremely well at the theatres then Fox or someone will pick it up, even if it's just for a couple of movies to resolve the cliffhanger.

What I don't get is Human Target. The large number of characters in DC Comics' history and a television show is being based on one that already had a show that aired and failed? Oh, the character is an interesting concept; it just strikes me odd that they would give it another chance (pun unintended for those familiar with the character) instead of trying a different character.

Remember that content owners consider their content as valuable assets. The Terminator concept was licensed from its owner to the producers of Sarah Connor Chronicles, and FWIR, they were not really happy with the result, and are probably happy that the television show isn't going to be around to (in their minds) degrade the value of their asset, any longer. Similarly, if DC Comics is anything like Marvel (a company renown for treating their characters as valuable assets), they probably look at the Human Target situation in the same way. They don't want to over-saturate the market with perhaps-questionable productions involving their most valuable assets, unless that can secure substantial control (which is probably not forthcoming, since the content owner rarely has the same financial interests as the producers).

I don't know what to say about NBC, actually. It almost seems to me that they're figuring that none of their scripted dramas will be worth a full season. I suppose they'd probably spin the situation as their having an embarassment of riches, having so many dramas to choose from that they can only give a full-season to just three of them (two, actually, if you count L&O and L&O:SVU as one show :)).

Can't believe ABC is moving Ugly Betty to Friday night! Death sentence for sure (unless the show they put in Betty's time slot flops and they put it back).:happytv:
