This is coming from a lot of experience of being a teen at disney. Since I've been going since I was 3 I always like doing the "baby" rides because they've become tradition s for my family to od. But, I always like the fast ones too which is what most teens will like.
I personally cant sit by a pool for long because Im sort of hyper. I could swim for a while but not all day. Most of the Disney pools have fun water slides. Disney quest is a lot of fun for teens and so is the mini gold but winter summerland is pretty eay. The Wide World of Sports is also fun for sports fans. Shopping at downtown Disney is also fun. Let your teens leave your group if you can keep in touch with cell phones, sometmes it can just be more fun to be alone. Just like parents like some alone time on vacations teens like it too. Its also just nice to spend alitle bit of time in the hotel room.
Going to universal would be great for teens but seaworld could be alittle young. Busch Gardens is pretty far away and who wants to spend their vacation in a hour car ride (well besides when your taveling to get there).
The best tip for teen girls is to pack hats and do not try to be high mantaince because its just disney. Its ok to wake teens up early for a couple days but let them sleep in once or twice at least. When you go to the parks you might want them to get up early so they dont have to wait in too many lines for the good rides which wouldmake them as miserable as being woken up early. For teen girls its also fun to take advantage of some type of spa or boutique in disney. I always love to get my nails or hair done when I'm there. Disney has some of the best hair dressers and nail people. Going to the Gradn Floridian with girls is also fun. They have this really cool soap shop where you can pick out col soap or make your own lip gloss (thats awesome). They also have a really nice clothing shop if a teen girl gets really bored and wants to try on clothing.
Just in case you didnt know the best disney roads for teens are:
MK- Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion (isnt too youngish), Mickeys Philarmagic (its just so good), the laugh factory (realy good humor), and Pirates of the Caribbean (Seeing refrences to the movie makes it better)
EPCOT - Mission Space (my personal fav), Soarin (another fav), and Test Track
Hollywood Studios - Terror of Tower (not a fav but a must ride), Star Tours (I love this one), Lights Motar Actions show, american idol experience (opens monday!!!!), and Rockin Rollar Coaster
Animal Kingdom -Expedition Everst (another fav), Safari, Dinosaur, Kali River Rapids, Festival of the Lion King (just dont know who doesnt love this), and primerval whirl (its fun and its funny to see your parents about to throw up if they go one with you)
Hope I helped
