Hi- we are going in June to WDW and I was wondering what there is for teens to do while we are there. Thanks for the tips!!!

from Small World to Rock-N -Roller Coaster. You can never be too cool for Disney. Of course they enjoy the faster coaster rides and we no longer have to stand in line for all the character autographs, but we still take photos with the characters on occasion. They also enjoy hanging out by the pool, hoping to meet some cute girls who also love Disney! Have fun!

Oh by the way I might add that getting them up early everyday of vacation is a little harder as now they would rather stay up much later. We adjust to their schedules but they know that the first day,we are there at rope drop so be prepared!

Don't forget about DisneyQuest, miniature golf, a day just spent at the pool and downtown Disney.

My DS's are 11 and 14 (almost 15) and always just want a day at the pool more than anything else.:confused3

Our teens loved Disney Quest, the hotel pools (SAB at the YC is their favorite!), and the water parks.

In the theme parks they enjoyed all the rides. The only things they "outgrew" were some of the stage shows that are geared more to the younger ones (like playhouse Disney).

Our teens also enjoyed trips to US/IOA, Sea World, and Busch Gardens. They enjoyed the Space Center more as teens than they did as young children. I think it is also important to give them a little space. We started out by just letting ours go to the arcade or pool a few minutes ahead of us and gradually worked into letting them go to a park or DTD without us (but with another sibling or friend...never completely by themselves).

My 17 yo DD does just about everything except for some of the real little kids shows like Playhouse Disney. She's been known to wait in line for a photo and maybe an autograph with a favorite character. Especially if she has brought a friend with her who has never done Disney.

She does like to have so time for the pool. This trip we are doing the Keys to the Kingdom tour - one of the advantages of her turning 16 was the tours. Last year we did the Segway tour at Epcot. She also loves La Nouba - we are going for the second time next week! We also leave her at Innoventions at Epcot - she'll play the games and stuff there until she gets bored, then call and we'll figure out where to meet up.

We have found that letting her do a lot of the planning has kept her involved. She does most of the restaurant picking - her goal is to eat at every restaurant at WDW!

My normally :sad2: teen loves everything in Disney. One of her favorites is Animation Academy in HS. She too loves all the rides from RnRC to Haunted mansion and everything in between.

Yep lots at disney for the teens my DD now 18 has grown up going to disney still loves going and has asked to go for her graduation present. She has never been bored always finds something new an fun.

Our kids will be 22, 17 and 13 when we go this year but in past visits they have not ever asked to venture off and do things alone. There is just so much to do and one of the genius parts of Disney is that it is geared for everyone from 1-99++++++. They enjoy things a little differently as they get older. Eveyone chooses a dining choice each trip and we try to make it some place new even though that does not always happen. We have some favorites that we just have to visit again and again. The two younger ones are girls and the first day we are there they choose a new crown and wear it everyday. Our son usually chooses a new baseball cap and some silly sunglasses. I guess my point is that they are never too old for a vacation to Disney with Mom and Dad. They are always making our next plans before we get on the plane to come home.

This is coming from a lot of experience of being a teen at disney. Since I've been going since I was 3 I always like doing the "baby" rides because they've become tradition s for my family to od. But, I always like the fast ones too which is what most teens will like.

I personally cant sit by a pool for long because Im sort of hyper. I could swim for a while but not all day. Most of the Disney pools have fun water slides. Disney quest is a lot of fun for teens and so is the mini gold but winter summerland is pretty eay. The Wide World of Sports is also fun for sports fans. Shopping at downtown Disney is also fun. Let your teens leave your group if you can keep in touch with cell phones, sometmes it can just be more fun to be alone. Just like parents like some alone time on vacations teens like it too. Its also just nice to spend alitle bit of time in the hotel room.

Going to universal would be great for teens but seaworld could be alittle young. Busch Gardens is pretty far away and who wants to spend their vacation in a hour car ride (well besides when your taveling to get there).

The best tip for teen girls is to pack hats and do not try to be high mantaince because its just disney. Its ok to wake teens up early for a couple days but let them sleep in once or twice at least. When you go to the parks you might want them to get up early so they dont have to wait in too many lines for the good rides which wouldmake them as miserable as being woken up early. For teen girls its also fun to take advantage of some type of spa or boutique in disney. I always love to get my nails or hair done when I'm there. Disney has some of the best hair dressers and nail people. Going to the Gradn Floridian with girls is also fun. They have this really cool soap shop where you can pick out col soap or make your own lip gloss (thats awesome). They also have a really nice clothing shop if a teen girl gets really bored and wants to try on clothing.

Just in case you didnt know the best disney roads for teens are:

MK- Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion (isnt too youngish), Mickeys Philarmagic (its just so good), the laugh factory (realy good humor), and Pirates of the Caribbean (Seeing refrences to the movie makes it better)

EPCOT - Mission Space (my personal fav), Soarin (another fav), and Test Track

Hollywood Studios - Terror of Tower (not a fav but a must ride), Star Tours (I love this one), Lights Motar Actions show, american idol experience (opens monday!!!!), and Rockin Rollar Coaster

Animal Kingdom -Expedition Everst (another fav), Safari, Dinosaur, Kali River Rapids, Festival of the Lion King (just dont know who doesnt love this), and primerval whirl (its fun and its funny to see your parents about to throw up if they go one with you)

Hope I helped
