I agree with DramaQueen here. Upper teenagers do have the capabilties of carry a baby and even having the maternal instinst that it takes to raise a baby. The problem in todays society that differs from let's say in the 1800's women and girls were not expected to get a full education. they learned a trade from there mothers like sewing and cooking and all that and got married early. Women and girls nowadays are going to school and becoming Doctors and other professions which I think is great. I just wish the % of teens that are deciding to get pregnant so early would realize that they have so much more of their lives to live as a kid and young women then having to settle down and start to raise a baby at such a young age. I guess to each their own though.

The love for a child is amazing.
I know what its like to love something, I could imagine what it would be like to love something BEAUTIFUL that *sorry If i damage anyones religious beliefs* god made.

I completely agree with you there.

In the last post I just made I said :

Teenagers are soon to be adults.
Adults are fit for having a child *not all of them, but the general idea*.
When you find out youre having a baby, that grows you into an adult.
By law youre still a teenager, but it prepares you to have a baby.
Naturally something that is a beautiful little miracle you dont HAVE to learn to love it. So caring about something that is your responsibility, just grows into you.

that's not what i'm saying at all.

my point is that 16-17-18 year olds are capable of being mothers.
they have the physical capability and maternal instincts that make them capable of being good mothers.
i didn't mean that 16 year olds SHOULD be having babies, I'm just saying that they CAN sustain another human life.

teenagers are babied alot more than they used to be.
even 50 years ago, people didn't live with their parents til they were 25 like today.
even 30 years ago, it was normal for people to be moved out of their parents houses by 18! (my dad all all of his friends were out on their own at my age)

so my basic point here is that teen mother =/= bad mother.
women all have maternal instincts that will guide them once they have a baby. age has nothing to do with it.

I apologize, I thought you meant that because women 50 years ago were physically and emotionally able to have a child, meant that teens now should also be having babies. (Which some may be ready, but most are not.)

I like this show, it shows how screwed up her life has become, because of her being pregnant. Now she cant do everything she did before. Especcially as time goes on she wont be able to do things with her friends, she will be tired more, more moody, wont be able to eat the foods she wants. At her age she should be able to go rock wall climbing, or skatebording, or sufing, eating burgers and stuff and not have to worry about it affecting a baby!
