I find it odd, how the sophomores in this show are already talking about marriage...
Oh, I know.
It seemed odd to me also.

I know.
I am gonna be a somphore and I can't imagine being pregnant now.

I'm sixteen and I could never ever ever imagine being responsible for another little human being.
I'm sitting right here staring at my little baby cousin Matthew. He's so precious and adorable. As much as I might love him I couldn't imagine having to raise him. To be a factor in what kind of man he'll be. To have him depending on me to feed, clothe and change his diapers. It's overwhelming to just THINK about it.
I love Grace's brother.
He's awesome =)
I hope things work for Ben and Amy, they're so cute.
I won't be able to see the next episode until Wednesday, that feel so far away.
You'll see them! Hahaha. I'm always excited for the new ones. You know what they say about assuming...You make an *** out of you and me.
Don't assume people don't understand what you're saying.
I get that.its just the way it has been for 3 years now haha .
the same type of people , with the same experiences , same family beliefs , ect .
nobody in my school gets it .
i realize now you guys are different and might seriously understand .
I think I found the main reason I love Ben...
He reminds me of JT from Degrassi.
A lot, like when the camera is dead on his face...
They have the same brown eyes.

um.
no.
some people
just
dont
mesh.
and no amount of love will fix that.
sex is an act between two mature consenting people. and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. abstinence only is not good education, cause, to be honest, it doesnt work. flat out. it does not work.
educate teenagers in methods of contraception, because you cant make them not have sex if they want to, but you can make them safer and healthier.
it is no ones business if youve had sex or not. and its no ones job to look down on you if you have, which is what a lot of this thread has turned into.
if you want to save sex till marriage, thats fine. personally, i wouldnt commit the rest of my life to someone i dont know inside and out, for lack of a better term.
it is your choice if you choose to have sex. but, if you do or if you dont, you need to know the good bad and ugly of it. and part of that is methods of contraception and protection.
arent you like...12?
there are a lot of people here older and wiser than you.
this is a group of people from around the world, who have been through a ton of things that have made them strong people with strong beliefs.
never just assume that we 'wont understand'. cause you'll be surprised what we will understand.
'couldn't agree more.
i don't think sex should be the issue.
because there are ALOT more teens having sex and there are teens getting pregnant.
protection is the issue, and you can take all the precautions in the world, but there is still a small chance you can get pregnant.
i really don't necessarily think there is an age at which you are mature/stable enough to get pregnant. At 19 I know i'm not, and Im sure at 23, 25,27, or 30 I probably won't be. But being a mom is a learn-as-you-go expirience. YOu can't know what to do until the baby is there, infront of you, depending on you.
Women have maternal instincts at any age.
So I think it's fair to say that teens CAN be good mothers.
Another good point Shelby brought up before was that 150 years ago it was the NORM for girls to be pregnant and married by 17.

But haven't we evolved since then? What was the norm then isn't the norm now.
