teen found dead at WDW resort

Very sad indeed. I can only hope his last day here on earth was a wonderful day seeing the sights of Walt Disney World. My thoughts are with his family.

OMG how sad. My heart goes out to the family.

Not what you expect to happen when you are on vacation!

I hope the family is getting the support they need and finds solace that they were having a great family time together.

Terrible news.

On a side note the Orlando Sentinel mentions he passed away at Riverside, yet they show a photo of French Quarter.

That is sad. Maybe they were taking the trip because that was his Wish since he did have so many medical problems. My prayers and sympathy goes out to his family

We were at ASMO in August and woke to find EMS, Security, and Sheriff's Dept at the next building over because someone passed away in their room overnight. We saw a manager escorting the family to the lobby and they were so distraught. It looked like they were moving them to other occomodations. They removed all the furniture from the room, cleaned it and put new furniture in the room in the same day.

So very sad, hopefully he was in his 'happy place' when he passed.

Sad news. Although if I had to choose a place to die it would be WDW...though hopefully at a much older age and on the last day of my vacation.

Not surprising. It reminds me of the media showing a mac with a windows screen photoshoped onto it when they mis-report on tech issues, which is pretty much how they report anything technology related.

My heart goes out to the family. AS much as some would like to have their last days be at WDW, I would never want to leave my family with the memory of my death being there.

I gotta admit, I'm amazed to read this, because I just got from Riverside last night, and I was there on 9/30. I had no idea. We didn't see anything, hear anything, or notice anything out of sort.

Disney managed to discretely and respectfully handle this without stories and rumors.

My heart goes out to the family members - what an awful tragedy to experience on vacation. A death in the family is difficult enough at home where you have a stronger support system and may know more about who to call and ask for help. I hope the staff/managers did everything they could to help in their difficult time.
