Does anyone know if I can buy the tea served in GF? The Princess blend was so good and I did no think to ask while there. Thanks Everyone.

Here goes: It didn't occur to me to buy it while we were there, either, so I tried to find some online. How hard could it be? Everything's on the internet, right? Well, I only found one place that carried the teas, and they were in Canada. They shipped FedEx, who would not leave it at my door. Not even if I signed the slip, emailed, called, pleaded and begged. No Saturday delivery in my area! They wouldn't go to a neighbor, and said I would have to drive 2 hours to pick it up (even though there are multiple FedEx locations in my city), BUT I'd better call the warehouse and see if I could talk anyone into working with me since it is a warehouse.

Sorry for wandering--moral of the story for everyone else is, if you want it go ahead and try to buy it while you're there no matter what anyone tells you.

Incidentally, I did get my tea. I had to have the company I bought from call FedEx and complain. FedEx had said that they wouldn't alter policy even if the shipper called, but apparently something about the whole situation finally struck a chord with somebody.

ETA: They didn't tell me any kind of signature would be required when I bought the tea. I really don't even think the shipper knew. FedEx kind of sprung it on us, and we never did figure out why...but if you want to try it for yourself I can look up where I found it. I don't remember if they had the Princess blend, but we bought Eros and Mad Hatter.

oooooooooooo where did you get the tea from??? i loved afternoon tea at the GF, i was just telling my DH that we need to go back now so that i can go to tea!!! :cloud9:

I always buy a couple of cans of tea each trip. I'm not a tea drinker but did DD loves the Garden view blend and the black current. All you need to do is walk up during hours of operation and speak to the Hostess. She will pack fresh cans for you while you wait in the lobby. You may also be able to call the Grand Floridian and order it directly. Susan

I got mine at tealeaves.com - but I don't remember the garden view blend being there...

I don't see the princess one, but I am pretty sure this is the Garden View blend:

Sure has blue flowers and tastes like an Earl Grey to me.

It was pretty expensive at $20 to buy at the tearoom, but when I looked at the site that is how much it is PLUS shipping, so it made me feel better. Love the tea- I will buy more on my next trip!

I love the tea at GF. The Red Currant was out of this world!
