I can't wait to read about your big meet!! I love the candy lady, on my last trip I was lucky enough to get picked and she made a elephant for me, I still have it, too neat to eat!!
Melissa
Thanks, Melissa! We had seen the candy lady on the travel channel...and we knew that was something we wanted to see in person. How cool to have been picked!! I don't blame you....I would not have eaten it either! What a great souvenir!
Hi Alan,
Just checked your (preliminary) bfdawgs.com site and let me tell you that I think the design is wonderful! Simple, strong, vibrant colors and a really appetizing hot dog in the main page!!. Congrats to your web designer!! I bookmarked it and will make sure to check it often.
Regards,
Luis
Thanks, Luis! The best part is that he is one of my best friends and he's doing the web site for me at no charge - just free hot dogs!! He is excited about us opening a hot dog restaurant, and this is his way of pitching in to help us out.
I so agree about the heat. It seemed killer that day in WS on our way to France. Dh was the first to notice you guys in Japan and point you out to me. I think all I could see in front of me was heat waves.
Oh my gosh....it was like the 5th circle of hell hot! I am NOT a cap guy....I am a proud bald man! Yet on this day a cap was a must. You could tell that all that moisture was in the air, and the humidity made it feel like a sauna. I felt much better after I got a little water.
I remember seeing you guys!!! I absolutely LOVED your way-too-original shirts!
Hi Alan !! The Meet has begun!!!! I am loking forward to the kids doing Kim Possible in September !! I think they will love it!!! Your pix of it and the Candy lady are as always awesome !!! When Judy sees The World she is gonna realie what a HUGE mistake she made the last time by skipping it !!It is my favorite thing to do!!!
Ah yes....the meet has begun! I've got tons of pictures to post!
The candy lady is one thing we have never stopped to check out...didn't realize they were so detailed! We will have to try to see that when we go in Dec! We are also going to do that KP thing for sure...even though I think I'm the most excited about it! LOL And, after your firm approval of the soup at Le Cellier, I will have to get it!! (That is, if we can get the ressies for there)
The Kim Possible thing would have been wayyy more fun if it had not been so HOTT! The kids loved it! They also enjoyed watching the candy lady....it was hard for me to drag them away. Anyway, they are totally embarrassed by my spot-on impersonation of the candy lady: "Ok, Ok....for you....I make candy....shiny, shiny...for you...beautiful candy"
Can't wait to try the Kim Possible experience it looks so much fun and I love the candy lady too, she's so clever
The Kim Possible thing is really cool. I would elaborate further, but I don't want to give away the cool things about it! It will suffice to say that there are lots of little "surprises" that you would never notice otherwise.
great report can't wait to read more. It just gets me more and more excited about our upcoming trip.
Good luck with your upcoming trip! Thanks for reading!
The Kim Possible games sound really fun and unique, I think we are going to try this (or at least hope to!) in September. I hope to catch the Candy Lady's whole show, I've only ever caught her part way through and couldn't see very well. I agree with you though-she is just amazing!
We did the Kim Possible thing in the U.K., and Elizabeth and the kids did it in Japan while I took a bench break. Next time, I would like to do it in other countries as well.
I fell behind again.

Love the pictures of the hot dogs. You guys should make a mint selling those because each one looks absolutely delicious.
LeCellier food looks yummy with the exception of Will's appetizer. Don't think I would have liked it either.
My 12 year old is looking forward to trying the new Kim Possible mission. I'm always looking for ways to get him interested in the World Showcase countries.
I agree with the candy lady being mesmerizing. I could stand there and watch here over and over again.
Looking forward to reading all about the Dis Meet.
Ah...you're sweet to say so. We have really put a lot of time and money into opening the restaurant....so we are keeping our fingers crossed! Wouldn't it be cool if the restaurant took off, and as a result we were financially able to afford a little DVC!!
Your 12-yr-old should love KP. There are some cool little surprises. I must admit, us grown ups were having fun with it also!
This was our first time to see the candy lady....and what a cool thing to watch! You really feel like you are watching someone perform a lost art.
I know my daughter will want to do the Kim Possible Mission. I am glad to hear that it is fun. I have never been to DW in the nasty heat. I don't know how I would handle that.
You might end up enjoying the Kim Possible Mission yourself!!
As for the heat...we are from Alabama....so we KNOW heat! It was even hotter than Alabama hot. whew.
I really enjoyed your first trip report, I'm excited to start this one. There's no better way to waste time while at work than with a trip report!
Yay for trip reports!!!

Thanks, and welcome!
I hate when that happens.
Here's to great success in the hot dog business to you all!!!
Enjoyed the pics from Le Cellier. Still no luck in ressies for any day during my weeklong trip. Even considered changing around the schedule a bit. Hope some spots will open up at the 45 day mark or, maybe we'll just luck into something once we're there.

Aside from the Spirit of Aloha dinner show and Boma for breakfast, it was my only MUST do.
Well, keep up the good work. Looks like there are many of us here enjoying your vacation.
Thanks very much! We are going into this hot dog business being cautiously optimistic. It is difficult to start something new in this economy, but we figure that people aren't going to stop eating out....just eating out less expensively!
Stay persistent on the Le Cellier thing. Sometimes they get cancellations....you never know!
Hi Alan
Kim Possible sounds cool - I think my DD (she's 11) would love this! I will definitely check out the candy lady in Japan on our next visit.
Too bad real life gets in the way of TRs - can we all be like Kramer, sit around all day, do nothing, and live in a fantasy world (er... Disney world??!)

Janet
Hahaha....Yes, only to have the Kramer lifestyle! I loved the episode when Kramer's strike was over - all those years it turned out that he was on strike!!! Then, after the strike was over, he quit after the first day back!! Classic!
Having had the good fortune of meeting Cammie and Ellen, I SO know what you mean, sure doesn't feel like people you've "never met" before.
Sounds like the heat was awful.
Good people are good people, all the way around!

We hope to get to meet you someday as well, Kathy!
