Glad DD was all better!

Great up close shots of the Tree of Life!
Thanks, Figment's Friend!
excellent tr! subscribing love the links to the next thread and the pics!
Thanks, LMO429! Welcome aboard!
Great update and pics again. Looks like everyone was having a good time.
Thanks, TCKK! We loved Animal Kingdom....especially the first hour. In the afternoon it started getting really hot & humid.
Love the AK pictures! So much of it is new to me since I've only been there once a LONG time ago. I like the many perspectives, especially the views from higher up.
For Primeval Whirl, you said you guys liked the spinning part. Do you typically not get dizzy during spinning parts? The ride seems very fun to me, but I'm afraid I'd get dizzy!
Thanks, RachelNinja! I usually don't have any problems with spinning rides. I had stopped riding them for years, but a few years ago DS discovered a Tilt-A-Whirl ride and he LOVES them. He makes me and DW ride with him....so I've built my tolerance back up to the spinning. On Primeval Whirl, the first few turns are very jerky, but all of the sudden the jerkiness stops and spinning takes its place. That's when the ride really gets fun! I'm not sure how well you tolerate spinning, but you will definitely SPIN!
Great AK photos! Just wanted to comment on the storyline of the Safari. I thought it ws goofy too until I had 4-6 yr olds with me and they really bought into the storyline hook, line, and sinker. They were on the look out for poachers & on the bridge my daughter put fingernail marks into my arm that lasted for days. She was soooo freaked out just sure we were doomed. After that, I'm OK with the corny storyline. I understood who it was for.
That is a great perspective, estherhead. I can see how the storyline might entertain younger visitors. Also, the thing I DID like about the storyline is that it reminded me of rides we used to ride as kids at other amusement parks.
I had warned DD about the collapsing bridge ahead of time so she would not freak out! She was still very clingy from being sick, and I thought giving her a 'heads up' might be a good idea. Since she knew it was coming, she enjoyed it very much!
Your kids are adorable!! Sorry your DD got sick
I'm loving the trip report and especially the food pics!!!
Your DD was adorable during her dinner with Cinderella!
Aww...thanks very much!

I love the 'lunchroom comparison'!
Hey, I don't care if you rant as long as it is the truth!!
When I read restaurant reviews, I don't just want to know that you did or didn't like it, I want to know WHY. I was trying to think about what it was that I didn't like about the H&V buffet, and it just reminded me of eating in a lunchroom!

It's the truth as I see it!!
DD looks adorable, they did a great job! Oh I just love Finding Nemo, The Musical! Those actors are so talented. Can't wait for your Yak and Yeti review, we're eating there this December and have never been. Inside it looks great.
Thanks! We did love Finding Nemo: The Musical. I wish I could describe it better, but I would tell anyone of any age that is planning to go to Animal Kingdom...you MUST do this show! It is great.
You will not be disappointed with Y&Y!
I'm glad your daughter felt better and that you took your son to HS while she was feeling under the weather. They did a great job on the face painting. The Yak and Yeti looks neat. It wasn't open when I was there, so your pictures are the first ones I've seen of the interior.
DD loved the face painting! Her grandmother had given her $25 to spend on souvenirs and she spent it all at Animal Kingdom. The face painting was $12, and she bought a Penguin webkinz as well.
So pleased your DD is smiling her beautiful smile again.
This trip report is great-looking forward to Yak & Yeti review - we've an ADR booked for dinner on 20th August, then hoping to ride EE in the dark -or as dark as it gets by 9pm (EMH)
Thanks, Shazzie B! Riding EE in the dark sounds AWESOME!
Another great installment! Your DD looks adorable with her face painted, very good choice!! I love it!
Primeaval Whirl was one of our favourite rides last time we went to WDW, we were laughing the entirely time round and the CM wouldn't let us off (there was no queue) which made it even funnier!
I love how you post pictures of all the menu's, it's such an ingenious idea... makes me so hungry though!!
Thanks very much! DS and I were laughing throughout the Primeval Whirl ride as well! It is a well-designed ride and a lot of thrills for such a small coaster. How fun that the CM wouldn't let you off! That's a neat memory!
