The menu looks great!
Thank, Kathy! We are excited!
I do think that you should stil take regular family vacations to Disney and maybe you could sell them on acounte service Hot dogs aroundthe world in Epcot !!
Oh absolutely. My most precious memories from my childhood was when our family would go on vacations. My dad was a blue-collar worker, but always found a way to take us all on summer vacations. My commitment to my family to take at least one vacation per year.
Hey, since you are British....got a weird question for ya. We are going to be doing a "Dawg of the Month" each month to test new products. We've got tons of ideas we want to try! Anyway, one of our ideas is to do an International Dawg called "The London." It would represent the double-decker buses and have a bangers/mash feel about it. The sausage would be cut longways into two halves. The first half goes in the bun first, then a layer of mashed potatoes, and topped off with the second half of the sausage. What do you think?
Hey Alan.
Congratulations and good luck on your endeavor. I loooooove hot dogs. I'm glad "The Boston" made the cut.
Tommorrow is Patriots Day in Massachusetts, and each year (for the past 18)I've gone to Fenway Park for the annual morning Red Sox game. I'll have you in my mind while I have a Fenway Frank.
On Patriots Day (otherwise known here as Marathon Monday) they play at 11:05am so afterwords you can see the end of the Boston Marathon which litterally ends just down the street.
Oh cool! A lot of Southerners will not be aware of the fact that New Englanders eat baked beans on their hot dogs...so I am hopeful the concept will catch on with the locals.
Enjoy that Fenway Frank! (Can you get that with baked beans?) And that Patriots Day/Boston Marathon day sounds awesome!
The menu looks great, and the prices are very reasonable. Wishing you much success in this pursuit.
How do you get to Jacksonville from Huntsville, and how far is it? (Huntsville is where my daughter lives.)
Thanks! Jacksonville is about 2 hours South of Huntsville. Take US Hwy 431 South to Gadsden, towards Anniston, then take a right on Hwy 204 to Jacksonville.
Alan! Congrats on your new business!

Just reading the menu makes my mouth water. Especially for the NY Dawg! I hope this really takes off for you. I might have to make a special trip down there just to try one!
~Beka~
Hi Beka! Thanks for the great wishes. If you ever make it down to Alabama, we'll have a NY dawg with your name on it!

I bet I would love B.F Dawgs too after scoping out that menu!! YUMMY! Some of those really intrigued me...we just bought a pack of hot dawgs (well...turkey dawgs-still trying to loose 10 pounds!), I just might have to try some of these! I've never heard of baked beans on a dawg, or coleslaw. Both sound great!
I laughed out loud at the "Hot Dawgs" on one side and "Not Dawgs" on the other. Very clever!
DH just said "If we ever get close to Jacksonville, we are eating there!" after seeing your menu.
I haven't seen "Man vs. Food", but I bet DH has. I love the dare of eating the 16 dogs! Hopefully you don't get anyone from the International Food Eating Competition in there though, that small girl-the Black Widow, she can put away the hot dogs!
It's so weird that I know about that.
Your trip is just around the corner, 3 weeks!

YES!! Speaking of the "Man vs. Food" - we are fans of the show. We have come up with something we call "The B.F. Dawgs Challenge." The challenge is to eat 16 of our "Original" dawgs within one hour without getting up. The rules: Challenger must pay $20 to take the challenge. Dawgs will be brought out in the manner: 5, then 5 more, then 3 more, then the last 3. (No one other than the challenger may eat the dawgs, even if the challenge fails.) The challenger will have free sodas during the hour with a limit of 10 total. If the challenger fails to succeed or if there are any unpleasant accidents, the challenger must clean up the area. If the challenger succeeds, he or she gets a free B.F. Dawgs t-shirt and their picture on the B.F. Dawgs wall of Top Dawgs. Do you think we will have any takers in a college town??
I'm glad you liked the "hot dawgs" and "not dawgs" concept. I give DW full credit for that brilliant idea.
Tell DH that if you ever get near Alabama to come by!
Wow Alan! My mouth is just watering reading that menu! I wish you all the luck in the world and hope this venture works out well for you.
And if you decide to enter into the world of online ordering and overnight deliveries - SIGN ME UP! (do you think that "German" Dawg would travel well?)
Hahaha...thanks Cammie. We are really excited/nervous/excited/thrilled/scared to death...
If the restaurant was going to be opened by mid-May, I would just bring a German dawg with me just for you!
Alan - so funny that you're doing the dawg thing - DH and I have tossed around this idea too! In fact, he wanted to open a coffee house in the mroning, then hot dogs in the afternoon and call it...... wait for it......
Franks and Beans!
Love the Deep South dawg- but where's the chili???? Good luck with your new venture - I'm sure it'll be a huge hit, especially in a college town!
THAT'S GREAT!!! Love the name! Very cool.
It's funny you should mention having a coffee house in the morning and dogs in the afternoon/evening. I am working on a possible partnership with a Lamar's Doughnuts shop. If it works out, we would be a doughnut shop in the mornings and hot dog joint in the afternoon/evening. We'll see how that turns out!
