Team Renfroe - Pre-Trip Report for May 15-22, 2009 **Final Chapter**

Hey Alan! Just catching up on yours and others (Cammie, your next!)reports as I've been MIA for a while. That's great that you were able to stay at CSR again this year. We loved it last year but may try POFQ if we go this year. I'm still trying to figure out how your going to eat all that food this year, but am looking forward to the food porn! It was nice seeing all the updates of your family as well. Cute dog! I hope you guys have a great trip and I'll be sure to read the report that follows.

colinsdad for the complete crowd calendar you have to either hae the book unoficial guide or sub for one year !! Right now it only goes up to April for non subscribers I use it for best days at which parks etc and last year I had the book so could link in with the question of the day!!!!I think if you type in and search either Touring plans .com or unofficial guide you'llfindit !!

Sorry I must have got my threads confused !! :rotfl: I am at Pop , I know Alan originally was but he is now at one of the mods !!! So we can meet at Pop!!

You get there the 16th right? We leave the 15th in the morning for Tampa :(

Alan this meet is getting even Mammouther !!!!:rotfl2: The best THONG about it:lmao: sorry couldn't resist!!!!:rotfl: I still have to find this site to view those THONGS!!!!:rotfl2:

Isn't it great? My friends are all like, "don't you have anything better to do?" Hmmm....guess not! Perhaps that's the best THONG about it!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: (good one, Rosie!)

If you haven't found it yet here is the link: http://www.cafepress.com/dismaymeet

LOL I saw this and I was like Rosie...why are you posting that on Alan's PTR and I already know I will see you in May :lmao:

Alan- No more meetup for me :( At least not in Epcot. I do hope that we are able to get together at the pool or something while we are at pop though! I will have to try to get online and post the room number so you know whereabouts we will be staying :)

I think...............the Mammoth Meet should totally skip Epcot and go to Clearwater Beach :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Hi Kara! Sorry we will not get to meet you on this trip, but I know you and Rylan will have a wonderful time on your trip! Best of luck! We are actually staying at CSR now, instead of Pop. However, we may swing by the Pop to get a tie-dye cheesecake (DD is just dying to try one!)

Ah yes, we were originally planning on staying at the Pop.....but those queen-sized beds at our beloved CSR pushed us into upgrading! We are DEFINITELY going by the Pop at some point on our trip to check it out; I'm sure at some point we will be staying there.

Hi Alan. Just catching up on the PTR. I think moving Flying Fish a little later was a very good idea. We loved the Boardwalk when we stayed there last September and it is very nice to walk around. After dinner, be sure to check out the performers. :thumbsup2

We can't wait to try out the Kim Possible experience as well.

I've never heard of UG rankings but understand what they are from this post. But where can I find them to check them against the days I have planned? Just one more thing I learned from the DIS. Thanks. :worship:

Hey colinsdad! :wave2: We are excited about just walking around the Boardwalk resort. That theme really appeals to me, and I think I would possibly enjoy staying there more than anywhere. I have read tons of reviews about the Flying Fish, and I am very excited about our dinner there for our first evening at Disney! I plan to get their signature dish: the potato-wrapped red snapper. YUM!!

Both DD9 AND DS12 are excited to try the Kim Possible experience at Epcot! (I think they will both get a big kick out of it!) I'm glad we moved our reservations at Le Cellier to earlier, so that we will have plenty of time to explore the World Showcase. On our last trip, we didn't do the World Showcase until the next to last day.....and by then DD was absolutely spent! We promised ourselves that if we got to go back this year we would do WS early in our trip.

The UG rankings are posted on their website. IF you have the current issue of UG, you can log in and get them. The web site is touringplans.com. Check it out!

Hi,

I found you on inkedupmomma's PTR and followed you over. I have a lot of reading to do but I did skim over all 40 some pages over the past hour and I am hooked!

I cant wait to read your TR when you get back. We are staying at CSR (booked at the same time as inkedupmomma) and it will be our first stay.

Subbing and can't wait to hear more. popcorn::

 YAY! A new subscriber!! Welcome to our PTR! We have enjoyed inkedupmomma's PTR very much as well. Glad you followed us over! We will most definitely do a trip report one we get back from this upcoming May trip. In the meantime, check out our trip report from our stay last May at CSR.....there are a TON of CSR pictures in the report! WE LOVE CSR!!

BEKA!!!!! :wave2: :wave2: :wave2: So great to see you here! We've missed ya!

Thanks for your kind comments about the family and our awesome little dog! I'll be sure to post the link to the NEW trip report once it gets started. Let us know how you like POFQ! We have friends of ours who absolutely LOVE it!

Thanks for posting, Rosie! Sorry I haven't checked my own thread in a couple of days......I've had gigs the past two nights in a row and I've not had very much sleep. :surfweb:

Oh so we'll miss you!!! I thought you had ressies at Le Cellier on the 17th ???

I did. I had to cancel since I will be in Tampa from the 15th-19th. It was just easier on me to do 7 days in a row at Disney then stay in Tampa the remainder so I don't have to make an almost 2 hour drive each way 3 days in a row!

LOL I totally forgot about you upgrading to CSR! Mmm cheesecake sounds so good. I know we will be back there again though. I won't be able to stay away!

Good Morning Alan!!!:cool1: I have a little mini meet at Pop on the 20th at 2pm if that fits in your plans !It is my down day and I plan on laundry and relaxing till later on Sooooo if DD wants that cheesecake , which incidently is a huge Fav o my DD's !!My Fav used to be the Tiramusu Twinkie but they discontinued it !!:sad2:

Just a quick note I just found out they have concerts at Epcot on Fri, Sat, & Sundays during Flowere Fest !!!

Alan - One thing I've noticed is that UG is not nearly as accurate as TGM. I've used them both the past two trips and they differed quite a bit. TGM was dead on. Just something to think about.....

Okay what does TGM say about May??????

It's funny - this last trip for us the weekend before last, TGM showed that AK was a "green" for Sunday but UG showed it as the park to avoid. And TGM was spot on. Minimal waits there. What dates are you looking at in May?

Okay May 17th for Epcot (Hmmmm wonder why!)
May 18th for DHS
May 19th MK
May 21st AK
What does TGM say for these ???
Thanks in advance !!!!!!

Rosie, being good TGMer's we can't publish his recommendations since his is a pay service. Try following this advise 1)Never go to a park on a day that it has EMH hours 2)If a park had EMH the day before it is probably a good day as "they" will have already been there.

Yeah, at first I was excited about this....until I found out who the concert is when we are there.....Jose Feliciano. I'm not a big fan. I think I'd rather see Off Kilter.

That's great to hear, Kara. I question UG about a lot of things. I don't necessarily agree with many of their rankings - but they are spot on with their touring plans.

We are looking at May 15-22. Here is our basic touring plan:
May 16 - DHS
May 17 - Epcot
May 18 - AK
May 19 - MK
May 20 - TL/BB
May 21 - Epcot
May 22 - DHS (SWW)

Solid advice, Lessa. However, I'm sort of torn on what I believe about EMH. The few times we have done AM EMH, we have completed everything we wanted to do within a park by lunchtime. Yes, the crowds seemed much bigger by midday, but if we would go non-stop from 8am - noon, we would find that we were ready to leave the park shortly after lunch. I'm confusing myself even further!!! :scared:

The shirt looks great! That is hilarious about the thong...:rotfl2:

I am for sure out...my co-worker is visiting her sister, something it would take a LOT for her to cancel, plus, we have officially made family plans for that weekend (which will be a lot of fun, we are going to Wisconsin Dells!). I can't wait to read all about it and see the big group shot!!

Good morning all!
Alan the concert I am seeing is a different oneto Jose !! I can't remember who it is Will have to check which thred made arrangements on???:lmao:

We almost always do morning EMH! We're like you - those first couple of hours are so worth it!!! Then we get out of there around lunchtime. We just did this on our most recent trip at DHS and the park was empty until about 11, so we left after lunch and went to Epcot which had evening EMH the night before so it was great!

I agree Alan. We've even gotten to an am EMH park by 9am and still gotten ALOT accomplished by noon-1pm.

As for pm EMH parks - unless it's MK and it's open past 1am, I avoid them. We've tried DHS on a pm EMH night and it was a nightmare - long waits for everything!

Oh poo!
