Team 'Ohana 2009: No One Left Behind

Bananas are great during a run to help with cramps.

Next word: Backwards

Having a puppy can really motivate you to get out and run.

next word: fartlek (just because I love that word)

To Fartlek or not to Fartlek, that is the quesion. Is it better to endure the slings and arrows of snarky judges or to just conform and do intervals.

Next word = wiggle

Party Panda:hippie:

Jack: Whose BF would your wife rather you be thinking of? Kate's sounds quite thoughtful, after all! Okay, we're both drinking a bit too much. :rotfl2:

Debbie: That song makes me smile, too. It's my personal anthem, I think. Shame on you and your iTune library though. And you're a mom! :rotfl: We're big "Rainbow Connections" fans here. Ever hear the duet between Kermit and Debbie Harry?

Rich: Ever wonder why so many of us identify with "White and Nerdy"? (The answer is, of course, 42.) Welcome to the party!

Betsy: Steve Martin? What great stuff! As an aside, loved him and Tina Fey during the Oscar show. And you know I'll be lurking on the DDDs soon--isn't the end of the month coming up? Enquiring minds want to know about your awesomeness!

Kim: OMG! I'm doing the Dopey this year, and guess what the numbers add up to (in whole numbers)? 42. How perfect is that? And thank you for admitting to the "Superfreak" tune. I feel less lonely. Love the timing on "Time to Go Home." If you're running a race where you need music, you want that special song to come on! :goodvibes

Jim: Oh, you just had to go and mention Monty Python, didn't you? Now I'll be quoting their stuff all week. (Wink, wink, nudge, nudge, say no more.) We can always change the question--heck, I think this is the longest 'Ohana has stayed on a topic. :lmao: Always up for mixing up the mixers!

JenB: Yoda, Muppets, Fraggle...I'm seeing a pattern here!

Mel: No caffeine for 5 days? Why, for the love of lattes, why? The same question applies to the Macarena, btw. I thought 3 halfs in a month seemed like a good idea at the time--for you. :confused3 :rotfl2: :worship: We'll yank your registration impulses from here on out!

Tracey: Great, now I'm hearing a congo line in my head. I know it's a cliche, but all these WISH kids do say the darnedest things! I haven't read The Host, but I'm sure someone here has.

Corinna: I agree--it's been tons of fun. And I'm not so sure we're the strangest ones on WISH anymore.... (But shhhh, don't tell anyone. We don't wat to scare our kindred souls away.) Oh, and quoting yourself? Always appropriate if you're an interesting conversationalist.

Tracy: Now, my questions is do you own a lime green hybrid? About the "Heroes" watching--see, I knew you had lots of stuff in common with 'Ohana (and me). I figure Maria is not even checking in until the show's over! Party hardy. There's a term I haven't heard in forever! :rotfl:

Arelys: I haven't regularly caught SNL in the last few years. (Age, I know.) Just watched "I'm on a Boat." Hilarious! Nerdy BFs (who sometimes turn into DOODs) are the best!

Marci: Do-do-do-doo. Manamana. :thumbsup2

Visiting Panda: You made it! :cool1:

Erica: This party goes all the way up to 11.

Speaking of parties, looks like the games have begun now that visiting Panda has arrived!

I'll give you a twofer. If I run backwards, everybody can see my butt wiggle.

next: eucalyptus

Woah - Jinx - does that mean you have to use BOTH words next or does it mean the game is over?

Erica! you're good!

I have this ointment for strained muscles that smells of Eucalyptus.

No joke.

Next word: banjo

Okay, I'll try to catch us up.

If you're hungry as a hippo, think "it's peanut butter and jelly time" for a quick protein fix. (With double score for mentioning Allie's song!)

And banjo, to match Corinna's post.

Hi Cousins! Visiting Warrior here! I think I heard someone say desserts, so I just had to stop by.

I am probably the only one here to report I knew not the answer to the universe. I have been enlightened and when I asked our DS, clever one that I am, his response was something about that dumb movie. Well, anyway, I get it...42! I get it!
:yay:

Last song to make me laugh, has got to be "Time Warp" which was such a fun song enjoyed by a multi generation crowd. Oh what a fun moment!

I do always have a smile maybe not a laugh when I hear "It's Raining Men."

Hope everyone on this team has been enjoying their rest day.
;)

Congrats on being enlightened, Lily. The film is the least of it--there's the radio series, the books, the TV show, the comic books, the stage shows. It's a sickness. But now you know--42. Always. And Babelfish.

But you know "Time Warp." That's how we know you're one of our close cousins! We just had an extended discussion on this. Big fans here. After all, it's easy. Just a jump to the left/and then a step to the right... (As close as I could come to the Time Warp dance.)

I play my banjo after I do my walks, that way I'm all warmed up.

Next: red

Hey D.K. - I think we scared them off with the banjo....

I take it back!

My face gets very red from running sprints. It's an improvement, though. My face used to get very red from running at all!

Next: wish or WISH

uh-oh. "red" and "foshizzle." Definitely earns double points....

P.S. Deb, any guesses as to what I'm supposed to be doing right now?

Maybe I'd better make that:

Um, winning hotels rooms for $1? :rotfl2: I think you're doing exactly what you should be doing--DIS(s)ing. In your own special way. :thumbsup2

Corinna: I can't believe you pulled that off. I guess that's what happens when you start your day with screwdrivers and end with smoothies!

Ha ha - Debra! I'm not sure I did pull that one off - it was more of a paragraph than a sentence.

G'nite Ohana's Thanks for the drinks, I'm gonna feel this in the morning, I just know it :worship:

Goodnight Jack, Erica, Corinna, Dave, Bryan, Tracey, all! I've got to get some sleep. Been a long day and I have some writing to do tomorrow. But the 'Ohana bar remains open as long as their are hard partiers. Party harders?

Have fun! Just remember the first rule of 'Ohana. You do not talk about the 'Ohana Mixer outside the mixer. The second rule? You DO NOT talk about the 'Ohana Mixer.
