Team Mickey - Biggest Loser "No Excuses" 2012 Challenge

I went to bed at 10:30 and fell asleep almost instantly, only to wake up around midnight because I was freezing. I haven't been able to fall back asleep. :headache: Technically I don't need to be up until 5:15, so I'm playing on Mom's computer until then (mine's packed). We're heading out to the airport at 6 and stopping at Tim Horton's-I'll probably get a yogurt parfait and bagel.

I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone who has supported me from the fall challenge through now, with the application process, the waiting, the excitement over getting accepted, and the waiting for two months to actually go down.

I hope I will be able to meet some of you if you come down to visit, and I'll let you know where I will be working as soon as I find out. In the meantime, I will be posting a lot of blog updates and dining reviews (for today at least) and both those links are in my sig. If you want to see even more pictures, you can friend me on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/gretchenf1

I'll pop over this afternoon, since goodness knows I'll have some downtime when I'm chilling out icing my knee and hopefully taking a nap (I hope my room is ready before 4pm :rolleyes1).

Friend request sent! (I'm Jessi). I can't wait to find out where you are living and where you end up!

HAVE A GREAT TRIP GRETCHEN! i just friended you! now i can stalk you on so many different mediums ;)

GOOD MORNING LOSERS!!!

first let me congratulate TEAM DONALD on their week 1 win!! i can't believe how CLOSE the results were. makes me wonder if i had just used the bathroom before i weighed in if we would have tied :rotfl::rolleyes1

i have a little :yay: moment to share. i fed the baby last night at 9pm and then not again until 3am! woot! so i got almost 5 hours straight (i read for a little after feeding him and awoke before 3 when he was squirming and making piglet noises. :yay:

when i get more sleep, i tend to not turn to food as often. when i'm tired i snack...and i snack hard!:lmao:

QOTD: Speaking of snacks, what are some healthy and satisfying snacks that YOU turn to when you need a little something to get you through to the next meal? Are you a big snacker? Does a small thing like one hershey kiss satisfy you are you more of a bulk snacker (like air popped popcorn)?

and i'm LOVING aunt ann's quote today! : “If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten.” -Tony Robbins

Congratulations on sleeping through the night!

YES! great idea Maria! i remember being on the course last year thinking, come on people, somebody cheer for me too! there were alot of family members cheering for their runners but as soon as they ran by (or while they were waiting to see the runner) they just stood there in silence. finally back in epcot some lovely CM yelled out "go nancy" and i almost barfed i was so happy. wait, no, i almost barfed because i had just run 12ish miles so far and wanted to die ;) but seeing that CM gave me some extra oomph!

I'm glad the CM was there for you! It's amazing how much a little encouragement can help you. I was on the opening cast for Disney Dreams come True. We debuted in August in the high heat (and it was much more intense than the previous parade.) I will never forget the CMs lining the route cheering us on. Every tie we felt our energy flag, we would hit another pocket of people cheering and it would really re-energize. I hope you have some cheering fans at your next race.

good morning teammies!! i can't believe we lost over 100 lbs in just one week!! well, not even one week!! we rock!

however, i'm not rockin' like i could be. i think i'm not eating enough during the day, then tooo hungry by early evening and just guessing on the rest of my day's calories. snap out of it! today i will journal 100% --

LTS -- thanks for the encouragment and you are right, i need to remember that the times when i don't have the energy or strength to workout that my day is not a wash, my week is not shot. i can still make a difference

Have you tried eating your "dinner" at lunch time.

My DH fooled around with the possibility of getting a keurig. That was for about 5 minutes until he tried a K cup while shopping at Bjs 1 day. Suffice to say until he fins a K cup he likes we won't be getting it. I don't drink coffee at all so I have no opinion on it really. But you are not the first person I've read about having problems. Most people i know just exchange them.

Here's an interesting tidbit I found out a few weeks ago in my local paper. We will be getting a Green Mountain distribution center soon(or maybe its a factory 1 or the other:confused3). Did you know that Green Mountain owns the Keurig brand? There was whole thing about how it actually loses money on the coffee makers and uses the coffee to make up the profits which from the sudden boom in sales is working like a charm. they don't even have to mark up the coffee that much because you always replace it.

I've been thinking about getting a Keurig. They have a little cup that you can use for your own coffee, which is how I would do it because I like Starbucks coffee.

OH MY GOD. I got here (Old Key West) around noon. My room wasn't ready, so I went to lunch at Olivia's. While I'm eating I get my "your room is ready text". They told me at the desk that I was in building 11 on the second floor...but when I open the door they upgraded me to a 1BR villa.  Pics to come on Facebook!

:cool1: Sounds like you are having a great time.

Afternoon ::MickeyMo!

Yeah, so yesterday was BAD. I normally do really well on days off from exercise but not yesterday. I ate WAY to much chocolate. I got on the scale this morning and I had gained 2 pounds. I'm hoping its just my scale having a fluke and it'll be off by the next weigh in.

I was up all night watching Season 1 of Royal Pains. That show is addicting! I ate a egg/canadian bacon/cheese english muffin with a 6 ounce Sunny D. Now I need to get on the treadmill and get a mile in. I have a planned BL kinect workout for tonight. I'll do that after dinner.

Dinner is going to be steaks on the grill, baked potatoes, and broc and cheese. Last night's theme of dinner was veggies . We had vegetable beef soup over potatoes, broc and cheese, and side salads. :)

The scale fluctuates a lot. As much as four or five pounds in one day, depending on when you last ate, drank, what you wore, etc. That's why they recommend weighing the same time each week- a little more accurate. I hope that it treats you a little kinder.

I think I'm starting to fight a cold because I didn't wake up until almost 12 Noon.

I apologize. I simply do not have enough time to respond to all of you. Thank you for your support with my mom. I also love the idea of using SB recipes. I will check my library first and then likely buy a cookbook. Tonight's dinner is almost 100% naturally GF. You only need to add a little bit of GF flour mixture, so it should be a winner. :)

I already feel like going back to sleep. Must stay awake...........

I'm sorry that you are feeling sick. :( I hope you feel better. If you are sick, your body needs rest. Don't feel bad about it.

Hey Team Mickey!
I'm new to the board and assigned to this team so go Mickey!
::MickeyMo
I was a fitness junkie, then I started binge eating. Got that mostly handled, but still have the extra padding to deal with so I'm here trying to unearth my Minnie-Me preferably before my cruise (DCL Magic!) this next fall.
So...I'm here.
And tracking calories, drinking a ton of water and exercising are the easy parts for me.
Soooo. That's it I guess!
:goodvibes

WELCOME!

Hi all!
I'm still hanging on by my fingernails... I have a really hard time keeping up with all the posts.

I've felt crummy, not sick; just run down and spent all day just nibbling on junk.... too much chocolate and convinced DH to go get ice cream with me..... I am not doing well with this and know it's just a serious lack of will power. On the up side; I did make it to the gym on Sat and I caught myself doing random upright ab exercises through out the day today. I am drinking all of my water too. I guess I just need to get more sleep.

I hope that you're not getting sick. :( Lots of people sic lately. Get to bed and feel better!

Today was a lot better. I'm thinking the being so plugged up yesterday was part of whatever stupid allergic reaction I've been having as it was world's better today. I could breathe! I joined a new gym. They have more classes, are closer, and are charging me less than my old gym.

I am proud of myself. I was really craving a double chocolatey chip frappuccino, but knew that I had a Jenny Craig cheesecake waiting for me at home. I was able to resist. I feel like I've had a pretty productive week, it's a great feeling.

My challenge this week will be when I go to Chicago for a conference. I am taking the train there and back, so meals will be on my own.

Hang in there!! We all have rough days. But you did make it to the gym and you did an ab workout without even thinking about it, that's awesome!!!

I so would do the same thing. My 'weakness' is peanut butter M&M's. I'd buy a BIG bag and eat them and not even know they were gone, lol. If I really REALLY need them I'll buy the single serve bag.

Thanks so much. Yes, hubby has on the marathon jacket from the previous year. We did the 1/2 in 2010 and volunteered for the full (and got those nice jackets); then we did the full in 2011 (and no volunteering, too tired). Hubby wears that jacket ALL the time when he can. Mine got a little rip in it and I keep saying I'm going to repair it but that hasn't happened yet.

Wow! Thats awesome! I do halfs, and I don't think I will ever attempt a full. Not for me. Kudos to you!:cool1:

Evening ::MickeyMo
Okay I did my half an hour on the kinect and it kicked my butt! I didn't get on the treadmill but I did track a half a mile just walking around today.

We're hoping to get some good news tomorrow. It will make life a lot less stressful and I'll be able to breathe. We don't have a whole lot planned. I need to get up at a decent hour (and not stay up all night). I need to do a few things around the house but nothing major. I may see if I can talk Alan into going to Downtown Disney to see a movie. I need to see what is showing.

Hi everyone! Wow, I guess I didn't realize this was the first week, and I'm shocked at how high the numbers were! I came in late so had nothing to do with that loss, but excited to contribute to the goal this Friday!

So far today I have drank a LOT of water. Much more than I usually do.

I also went to the gym and did 30 mins on the treadmill at 4.0 speed and 5 incline that varied up and down ( down to 2...up to 12)

I followed that up with a 30 minute strength/cardio training class that focused on your arms, legs and core.

I also jogged outside for a total of 5 minutes :lmao: It's not much, but it's 5 mins more than I have ever done before!

To answer the QOTD- I prefer more bang for my buck usually, like a 100 cal kettle corn pop corn, but some times a clementine does the trick!

For chocolate or peanut butter cravings I am LOVING the new skinny cow chocolate or choc/PB bars! They are only 110 cals per bar but seem like so much more than that!

I've decided that since I cheated and had lunch out, that I would go back to the gym tonight for Zumba! I've also decided that I will do 2-3 nights a week at gym in addition to my morning schedule. I feel like I need to step it up, and that an hour just isn't enough for me.. I REALLY REALLY REALLLLLLLLLY want to buy a not xxl swim suit this year!!

Good for you for your workouts! And your first jog outside! Mark this date- chances are you will fall in love jogging and want to continue it. Check out the Jeff Galloway method - it's a run/walk method that really saves your knees, and Jeff Galloway happens to be the guru of RunDisney.

Have you ever tried EmergenC? I just discovered it and I love it. My trainer drinks it. You mix it in your water. I just got the Blueberry kind. It has extra Vitamin D in it- great for the winter months when we don't get much Vit D from the sun. It really seems to help people ward off colds, or make them not last as long. Plus its virtually no calories (I think 10 calories per packet).

Hello everyone and congrats on the awesome successes everyone is having! We are such a strong group of people. I was watching BL tonight (this is the first season I have ever watched, and my first BL DisBoards challenge) and thinking of all of you. We are all just as strong as those people on the show. It is amazing all the things that are happening all across the country (do we have anyone not from the US?- if so- WORLD) because of this challenge. I am very grateful to have been in the right place (disboards) at the right time (beginning of challenge). This is exactly what I needed!

My workouts are going great. I am getting ready for the Tinker Bell Half in Disneyland on Jan 29. This will be my 7th half marathon in 19 months. I started running 19 months ago. I am hoping to beat my PR of 3:19. I'm not a very fast runner, but I'm getting there. Since I started logging everything I eat on my iPhone WW app on Jan 1 (no exceptions!) I have lost 7 pounds! I am so excited. I have been working out twice a week and running a couple of times a week for a year and had no real weight loss. Healthy eating is such a huge component for me.

Good luck this week, everyone! And congrats to Team Donald for your win on Week 1. I know Team Mickey can do it. So I guess what Im trying to say is: "a salute to all losers, but mostly Mickeys".. lol (one of my favorite attractions is Muppetvision 3-D).

Melinda :) :cool1:

GOOD MORNING!!

well friends, these days are really getting ahead of me lately. i feel like i haven't had a chance to sit down. making eating right and exercise a priority has really taken away from my DIS time!!

QOTD: WHY is your goal weight your goal weight? do you have a magic number? or do you want to lose enough to fit back into your "skinny" jeans? is the number you've chosen in the healthy BMI range?

because i have alot to lose, i really have a few goals. for me, the first is to get to a healthy BMI (145) and the ultimate goal is 135 which i considering my fighting weight aka the weight i've been able to get down to when i put my head to it and lose: i weighed 135 at my wedding and i weighed 135 the day i found out i was pregnant with baby matthew. ultimately i will have a range that i'd like to be in: 135-140. i ran the princess at 140 and had, for me, a kick a$$ time of 2:22 (my goal was 2:45!)

with the amount of times i have to get up to give the baby back his pacifier or times i have to correct my 2.5 year old lately when he's being bad, i swear i'll be under 100 in no time :headache::laughing:

My goal weight is back to what I was before I had the children and which I have only been once briefly :guilty::guilty: since. It is a healthy weight for my height and I would fit back in to clothes I last wore to Florida in 2007.

QOTD - My number is where I feel my best. I have energy, am not tired, and feel good about myself!

So.... I joined my fitness pal yesterday. So incredibly psyched that I found an extremely easy way to record my food. Wow! And so eyeopening! I didn't realize how many calories I was consuming with my little cookie here and there. I LOVE how it tells you how many calories you have left for the day. I found myself with only 324 left at 3 in the afternoon. Wow! I had to really make different choices for dinner.

I also loved how it told me how many calories I "earned" for my exercise. If I had time, I would have gone out for a quick jog or something to get a few more calories back!:good vibes

At the end of the day, I went over 67 calories. Not bad for a rookie!

Today I already made different choices for breakfast.

Have a great day Mickies!

:lmao: i love sam eagle and that part cracks me up every time!!! thank for these kind and motivating words! 7 half marathons and only having started running 19 months ago is AMAZING! i hope you PR at the tink! how great would that be!?!

are you going to the DIS meet up before the tink?? i can't wait to hear all about the race.

and you're right - our group IS awesome! i mean, hello! we lost a ton of weight last week! and we'll continue to do so :)

nice job avoiding the frap! how was the jenny cheesecake?
have a fun time in chicago! i lived there for about 4 years before moving back to ny and i LOVED it there!

welcome!!! sounds like you'll fit in swimmingly here! we have alot of runners on the team! oooo a cruise! i just saw a commercial for DCL this morning and i'd LOVE to go sometime. have you been before??

I wonder if Gretchen is watching WISHES. I wish I was there with her!

Today was great for veggies, fruit, water, and exercise. I did loosen up at dinner and had two biscuits! My husband made breakfast for dinner. On a side note, he had to disconnect the smoke detector when he burned some bacon! :lmao: He made sure to reconnect it once the smoke cleared.

I did resist snacking while watching TV! This has been difficult for me to stop doing. I am really happy about this!

Congratulations to our biggest losers! You did us proud!

i love snacking in front of the TV. it's so hard to stay away from the food during that time. i've been having a big mug of sugar free hot chocolate while watching tv instead and it seems to satisfy me. that, or a 100 calorie bag of popcorn.

Hard to keep up with y'all. I was at the dentist tonight, and had THREE doses of freezing. :scared1: I don't think that I'll get to eat tonight. Still frozen! :rotfl2: Good thing I had a good lunch!

hey, that's a good diet! :lmao:

ohMom -- Two belated presents I bought myself and Alan was seasons 1 and 2 of Royal Pains and Seasons 1 and 2 of Hot in Cleveland.

Going to start dinner here in a few. Then after dinner I'm going to get my workouts in. I'll watch shows tomorrow. Hope everyone has a great night!

over the summer they were taping an episode of royal pains down at maritime college (5 min walk from my house where i do my running). i didn't get to see the main actor dude but it was neat to see them filming the cop scenes. they film alot of SVU and those types of episodes down there.

well it's only 5:22 and i'm ready for bed! i did get my 2 mile WATP in this morning and have been working on laundry all day. seems like at the beginning of the day I think, i'm going to have this laundry done in plenty of time before the day is over, but it always comes down to the evening and i'm tired and trying to finish it out. today was a pj day, yes i showered and put my pjs back on :teeth: i had hopes of starting on taking down the christmas deco, that didn't happen, but i did manage to knock some tasks off my to-do list and spent some time making cards that need to be mailed

and :thanks: everyone for the ongoing encouragment, i'm so glad i joined in the BL challenges this time around

i like 'reverse journaling'....i do that on days when i'm really on it, i need to make that my routine each morning

i forgot to say CONGRATS to our losers this week, especially Buckeye Fan!!! Whoo hooo!!

Gretchen - how awesome your upgrade at OKW! i'm living the dream through you girl!

Disneywedding -- a girl after my own heart, i like to 'chain-smoke' me some TV seasons on neflix...i'll have to check out Royal Pains. my latest was Sons of Anarchy

LTS -- i am soooo impressed with your meal planning!

BAMB -- to you for the troubles at school, you are a GREAT mom don't ever forget it!

i've been ready for bed at random times lately too! hope you're feelilng better soon.

We need to get a fitness pal master list going! I'm on, same username as I have here.

THIS! i don't have any friends on there and i'd like some! any way to be held more accountable is a good thing!

I think I'm starting to fight a cold because I didn't wake up until almost 12 Noon.

I apologize. I simply do not have enough time to respond to all of you. Thank you for your support with my mom. I also love the idea of using SB recipes. slept til noon? oh go ahead, rub it in ;) just kidding. i hope you feel better!

***********************************************

this week feels like one of those where you are rushing to do everything. i'm rushing to post here, rushing to get the kids dressed for mommy and me (i teach the class at our catholic school 3 days a week). yesterday we showed the house and i was rushing to clean it (um, hello, i have a 6 week old, do they really expect a clean house?), rushing to get out and go for a run in between other tasks, etc etc. you know how it is.

since i thoroughly cleaned the kitchen before the lady came to see the house, i didn't want to cook. we ordered chinese :scared1: but get this - i got steamed shrimp and string beans (usually get broccoli but nursing and broccoli are not a good combo) with NO sauce and brown rice. ate half of the brown rice serving and a ton of string beans and still have enough for lunch today. i treated myself to an egg roll and even with that had enough calories for a 100 calorie bag of popcorn. :woohoo:

well, i've run out of time yet again. have a great day everyone!! xoxo

and a big hearty :thanks: to Nancy for coaching this week, you are an awesome coach!

QOTD -- my goal is to get back to my weight before I got Cushings, which was 140. i want to wear my clothes again. throughout this process of gaining the weight and living with a preggo-sized belly, i have all but refused to by clothes so i get the bare minimum to get through the season hoping that the disease will retreat and i'll be able to shed this excess. lately i've been thinking of getting rid of some of my old clothes b/c it feels hopeless but i'm still hanging on to them

i did get my journal on yesterday...whew...aiming for today to be the same. we have our couples church group tonight and there is always snacks, but lately i haven't been feeling great so i think i'll be able to pass on them without too much angst.

:wave2:

:cool1: What a way to start your adventure with a heap of pixie dust! That is just the beginning of great things to come!
The garlic herb shaker is from Wegmans - we are so lucky to have them here in northern VA! They started making some seasoning shakers, and the garlic herb one has proved to be just the thing for adding to steamed veggies. A little saltiness and a nice touch of flavor. They make others, too, but this one appealed to me the most.
Sounds great, but alas, no Wegmans here. I keep hoping. My family likes their veggies plain and boring but I sure like to spice things up. I will have to look here and see what I can find.

i did get my 2 mile WATP in this morning and have been working on laundry all day. seems like at the beginning of the day

today was a pj day, yes i showered and put my pjs back on :teeth:
How do you like WATP? I got the book from the library but think I should have got the video instead. I am going to see if they still have it on the shelves.

Love those PJ days! My teen takes a shower when she gets home from school and usually puts on her pjs. I probably should have more of those myself.

SO I'm about to start on dinner but just wanted to let you all know that I:

a. applied to one of the jobs (the one I really want!)
b. Started my PTR and the link is on my siggy!
!
:wizard: Sending pixie dust for that job!

LTS, I'm liking the sound of chicken lettuce wraps. I'm going to look up some recipes and try one!
Sounds like me cooking! I tell the kids that they will know dinner is ready when the smoke alarm goes off! :rotfl:

There are tons of recipes out there for copycat lettuce wraps for PF Changs or Chili's. I made this one: http://www.food.com/recipe/chilis-lettuce-wraps-15870 with a whole lot of changes! I don't like the peanut sauce so I didn't bother with that. I made the "stir fry sauce" first then when I went to make the dipping sauce I realized it was essentially the same thing so I didn't bother. In the stir fry sauce I didn't add all the sugar it calls for, just a few spoons to adjust the taste a little. I also dont' have chili oil so I just skipped it. Still all turned out yummy!

I am going to try this one next: http://www.kalynskitchen.com/2009/03/recipe-for-asian-lettuce-cups-or-wraps.html but with ground chicken instead of turkey.

Hey Team Mickey!
I'm new to the board and assigned to this team so go Mickey!
::MickeyMo
:goodvibes
:welcome: !!!

Today is a beautiful new day!! Put yesterday behind you and move on. :cheer2:

Have you tried eating your "dinner" at lunch time.

I've been thinking about getting a Keurig. They have a little cup that you can use for your own coffee, which is how I would do it because I like Starbucks coffee.
I would love to be able to eat dinner at lunch-- I need that big meal in the middle of the day and would be good with less later. I had some friends that lived in Europe for a long time and he had a job that allowed him to be home at lunch everyday so they would usually have their main meal then.

I really do love the Keurig (I just wish they could figure out how to make the machines no crap out!) and it is great when you have different tastes in coffee. The little cup thing works great. Of course I think they have Starbucks K cups now. . :) Green Mountain needs to do like Gevalia and send you the machine for free and just make their money on the coffee.

I feel like I've had a pretty productive week, it's a great feeling.
.
Glad you are feeling better. What did the ENT say?
Great decisions on the gym and dessert. I am SOOOOOOOOO happy that Starbucks FINALLY has sf mocha syrup! That has been one thing I hated giving up. Now I can still splurge on a Peppermint mocha occasionally.

We're hoping to get some good news tomorrow. It will make life a lot less stressful and I'll be able to breathe.
pixiedust: for good news.:goodvibes

My workouts are going great. I am getting ready for the Tinker Bell Half in Disneyland on Jan 29. This will be my 7th half marathon in 19 months. I started running 19 months ago. I am hoping to beat my PR of 3:19.

So I guess what Im trying to say is: "a salute to all losers, but mostly Mickeys".. lol (one of my favorite attractions is Muppetvision 3-D).
:rotfl2: Love that!

:cheer2: for the Half and that PR! :cheer2:

QOTD: WHY is your goal weight your goal weight? do you have a magic number? or do you want to lose enough to fit back into your "skinny" jeans? is the number you've chosen in the healthy BMI range?
I am not really sure yet what my goal weight will be. I have been overweight for so long I am not sure what is really a good sustainable weight. I think the recommendation is about 135 and I weighed that when I got married. But now 2 kids and 20 years later I am not sure that will be a comfortable weight for me. At this point I would be thrilled to just get to 150 and then see what happens from there. I have seen pictures of ladies my age and older that have lost a lot and got down to the low end of their recommended range and honestly they don't look good-- they look scrawny and almost anorexic. Every person and every body type is different. I am not going for supermodel thin, just a healthy weight that I can maintain without torturing myself.

If I had time, I would have gone out for a quick jog or something to get a few more calories back!

At the end of the day, I went over 67 calories. Not bad for a rookie!

Today I already made different choices for breakfast.
:cheer2:Sounds like you are doing great!

since i thoroughly cleaned the kitchen before the lady came to see the house, i didn't want to cook. we ordered chinese :scared1: but get this - i got steamed shrimp and string beans (usually get broccoli but nursing and broccoli are not a good combo) with NO sauce and brown rice. ate half of the brown rice serving and a ton of string beans and still have enough for lunch today. i treated myself to an egg roll and even with that had enough calories for a 100 calorie bag of popcorn. :woohoo:
Great choices!:thumbsup2 Chinese food is one of my big downfalls so I avoid it as much as possible.

QOTD -- my goal is to get back to my weight before I got Cushings, which was 140. i want to wear my clothes again. throughout this process of gaining the weight and living with a preggo-sized belly, i have all but refused to by clothes so i get the bare minimum to get through the season hoping that the disease will retreat and i'll be able to shed this excess. lately i've been thinking of getting rid of some of my old clothes b/c it feels hopeless but i'm still hanging on to them
.
I have found this great little boutique to buy clothes that I am hoping I won't be in for long-- it is called Le Goodwill. ;) In fact my entire outfit today is from there (except the undergarments!) and cost less than $10. If you need a few bigger things don't be afraid to check out the thrift stores and pick up just a few things. In fact if you can find stuff that fits right it may actually make you feel better and with a better look at yourself inspire you to keep on going.

If you have the space for those old clothes I say keep them! You have great satisfaction when you are able to put them on again, even if it is just long enough to try it on and say "This is really out of style or looks terrible!" and then put it in the donate pile for Le Goodwill and go buy some smokin new stuff!:dance3:

Well now I don't really have any time to chat. REALLY have to go and get my blood work done. I had a big breakfast of Egg Beaters with mushrooms and turkey sausage and whole wheat toast so hopefully that will help keep me from passing out. :rolleyes1 I guess I better take some yogurt for afterwards.

Not really anything else interesting going on anyway.

Everyone have a great ON PLAN day!:cheer2:

QOTD: WHY is your goal weight your goal weight? do you have a magic number? or do you want to lose enough to fit back into your "skinny" jeans? is the number you've chosen in the healthy BMI range?

My goal weight is slightly revised from where I was at my lowest - when I made lifetime at WW, I attained my goal of 135 and maintained it. But 12 years and 2 kids later, that number seems too low for me. I only reset it up by 5 pounds, to 140, but I think that's a good number for me. I keep wondering if I'll hit 145 and think, okay, good, or if I'll still want to go a bit further. While I have the goal in my head all the time, I hope I can stay objective enough to know if I'm being at all unrealistic about that lower goal. The number is squarely within the healthy range for my height, or WW wouldn't have let me set it, but all bodies are different.

With every pound lost, I feel like I have more energy and more forward momentum to get to that goal, so I think it's still a good number. :)

Slept too late today, which is not great - work still calls! But I got my full workout in, ate a late breakfast, and got to it.

I can't believe I've now worked out 9 days running. !! We're going out of town this weekend, and I think I might do a drop-in at the Y near my mother-in-law's home and then take Sunday off. Or just get in a good walk but not a workout as intense as I have been doing. I don't want to break down!

XO
Liz

Hi Team! Just popping in to say hi! I want to catch up on reading the thread so hopefully tonight I can do that. Have a great day filled with healthy choices!

I am still here. :surfweb: Why?

First I realized that I can't get allergy shots on Wed afternoons.:headache: It is right by the lab for the bloodwork and I wanted to get it all done at once.

2nd, I have to peeeeeeee! After the coffee and water I have had I am going back and forth to the bathroom-- bad time to leave the house!

I got a few things done in the kitchen, put the books and WATP DVD on hold at the library, and have a few more things that I will get done around the house instead. Kids won't be home until about 3:30 so I like having more time at home to get stuff done.

Ugghh! Been sick all week, just a cold but yuck. No energy but still hungry. How does that work? I'm definitely not one of those people who lose weight when they are sick. I pretty much have eaten soup and toast the last 2 days and today doesn't seem like it is going to be any different. Oh well...right now I just wish I could sleep....but I can't because my nose is all stuffed up.

I hope everyone on Team Mickey is having a much better week than I am.
