I just wanted to mention that my MIL is in the hospital. She went to the ER last night with a really bad headache and heavy, numb arms/chest. They said her cholesterol and some enzyme are really high. :confused3 They don't think it's another brain aneurism, but maybe her heart. They are running test tomorrow, so we'll know more then. She doesn't want us to visit because she's really tired. I'm hoping Kirt will call her in a few and see how she's feeling this afternoon.
Sorry to here this. I hope they can get to the bottom of all of this soon.

We leave the pool and we're changing back into warm clothes and SD says, "We're going to lunch right?" I said, "NO. I told you the other day that I will NOT BE buying lunch every day we're at the gym. First, it defeats the purpose for me, which is to LOSE weight. Second, it is EXPENSIVE." The gym membership alone is expensive. This is not a hard concept for an almost 16 yr old to grasp. Right?
So, he tells me that he hates me for being so cheap and that he's not coming anymore.

So, before you guys all roll your eyes at me for having a teenager that would DARE to speak to me like that and get away with it. I don't. He is a GREAT kid. He (and Gus) have NEVER spoken to me that way. I did NOT raise them to be brats. They're very well behaved. I was SOOOOOO shocked. I said, "So, you hate me?" He said, "Yeah, right now I do." I said, "I'm sorry you feel that way."

MEL

Big hugs for you and no eye rolling here. My dd can be the mouthiest child on the face of the earth at times and she does know better. Teens have a tough time adjusting to being almost adults.
******************************************
Well everyone got up today and it went better than I thought. bug did not get to sleep until after midnight :sad2:. He is now home between schools and telling me he is not going to his afternoon class. He doesn't have a choice but seems to think he does. I start the student teaching next week. My job still has not found someone to work my hours. I do not know what they will do but they have had since before Thanksgiving and have delayed my student teaching all they can. I have no choice but to start by next week. I had wanted to start right after Thanksgiving. Each Friday the principal would let me know she still didn't have anyone and it would be one more week.

I have to work today from 1-5:30 and then get dinner on the table so I will be back on tonight after Bug is in bed. I hope he sleeps tonight.

I'm finally live!!!!!!!!

:woohoo:

Just a brief drive by skimming and scanning and distributing    to those in need. I'm working from home, which is going okay but not great, but now I need to go survey the kids and make lunch for everyone.

Who decided that school break in our county could run through Tuesday? :confused3

TTFN!

Just take in a picture from Fockerfest...that'll scare him ::yes:::lmao:

Good thoughts for your appointment!

Good morning ladies. I hope you all have a wonderful start to the first full week of the enw year. I was good this am and started the diet. I had a multi-grain bagel with lowfat cream cheese and some canteloupe for breakfast!:thumbsup2

Ha! I should bring in a pic! He'd laugh! He's a funny guy. ;) Thanks for the good thoughts!

AND GOOD JOB on the diet! I am NOT going to the gym today, I am starting their low-impact aerobics tomorrow though! ;)

I've also got to call the vet this afternoon to make an appointment. Max is worrying me a bit. He's been very clingy lately and just isn't moving as well as he normally does. So, I guess it's time to bite the bullet and find out just what's wrong with him and how bad it is. The vet wants to do a liver ultrasound to see what we're dealing with. I guess I was prolonging the inevitable, right?:sad1:

Well, off to start my day. Hope everyone has a great day! And stay strong (and away from the fridge!)!!!

Oh, hugs for you and scratches for Max. :lovestruc

I know he is, Mel. :goodvibes We all have our moments. I think that's a really good point- some things you say hurt for longer so we should all monitor what we say to our loved ones. You wise woman! ;)

I have days where I melt down and get ugly and it's hard for me to remember that that day doesn't trump all the days I was a great mom, YKWIM? I really beat myself up. :guilty:

I have no idea what to say about this, but I have lots of hugs.
[/COLOR]

Thanks sweetie! I have those moments too! Thanks for saying I'm wise. And don't beat your self up too much. Parenting is HARD, thankless work. It's only normal to have a bad day!

Thanks for the good wishes about the anxiety. I have a plan. I'm going to take action! Don't worry!

Hi Jen (and silent Jen)! It is quiet! I feel like I don't know what anyone is doing or what's going on with everyone.

I'm going in the shower soon, then to the Drs

Shhh... I'm here, but working! :ssst:

HI V. :wave2:
Missed you!

Big hugs for you and no eye rolling here. My dd can be the mouthiest child on the face of the earth at times and she does know better. Teens have a tough time adjusting to being almost adults.

I have to work today from 1-5:30 and then get dinner on the table so I will be back on tonight after Bug is in bed. I hope he sleeps tonight.

Teenagers are hard, but he's nothing compared to how I was at his age. I should be thankful! LOL

Hope you get some sleep tonight!

Ooops, I missed Kate too! Thanks for the kind words Kate.

*****************************

Poor Gus was just a wreck this morning. He said he didn't sleep all night (must be going around, eh?) and when he came out for Bfast he burst into tears. I sent him back to bed. I just brought him to school a bit late (9:30) and he was all unhappy.

Then I ran out to the grocery store for some things I missed the other day. Now I'm home and about to shower so I can leave to see Dr. Seigle.

I spoke with SD's psychologist just to get some ideas on the meds/counselling/anxiety stuff. She was really helpful. HAVE I mentioned that I love her!? Anyway, I hope to have a solid plan in place for dealing with my stress really soon.
Thanks for all the love and support though. You guys are the best!

If the ornaments are dusty, is it time to take down the tree?

Jo- I sent in a question for you. :goodvibes You're too cute in your video, BTW. :cutie:

TE- Yikes!

Yes, T, I am perplexed about your watering of the turnips. I was thinking, "oh she must have a garden." Then I thought, wait a minute, does T even know what turnips are? and is it even legal to grow them in California?
