:hug: :hug: I'm sorry, CE. I know sometimes we just need down time before a major thing like going back to school. If certain things don't get done today my house will see me get ugly with the crying too. :scared:

Thanks. I had fun, I just didn't want to do anything today, you know? And I thought I was all set, then D's plans changed and... Well...

I wanted to do a quick drop in to post my present pic from yesterday.
IMG_1501Web.jpg

Very nice!

Jo I don'tknow where the accept button is on FB I am getting messages from you so what is wrong !!?? I see lots of things from Kat but have no idea how she is my friend and you're not !!!Mo seems to be my friend and also Mel . What am I doing !!????

I think I got a request from you, Rosie, but it may have been someone suggesting us as friends and you still have to accept. Jo's got it down in her instructions.

Aw, thanks.

Sounds like you just need a rest CE:hug:

Frankly, part of it is that I need D to go somewhere, too. :rotfl: I am used to a day or two a week where I just get to do what I want, and he's been home since the Monday before Christmas. Too much togetherness... ;) He's a "doer" - we have to have an activity every day, etc. Me, not as much. :rotfl2:

CE - :hug: I so know how you feel. I'm glad we aren't doing anything today and I can get the kids ready for back to school. They'll both have to be in bed early and they are not going to like it. Hope you still had fun!

We did, and with the pizza dinner instead of me cooking, D is reading to them now. So it's fine, but I didn't get my laundry done.

Well Fockers here they are. 2 pictures of me from the wedding. Both we taken after I had drank 5 (or 6 or 7 I sort of lost count:rolleyes1 ) Khalua and Creams.

Great pics!

I just wanted to mention that my MIL is in the hospital. She went to the ER last night with a really bad headache and heavy, numb arms/chest. They said her cholesterol and some enzyme are really high. :confused3 They don't think it's another brain aneurism, but maybe her heart. They are running test tomorrow, so we'll know more then. She doesn't want us to visit because she's really tired. I'm hoping Kirt will call her in a few and see how she's feeling this afternoon.[/COLOR]

Oh, no. :hug:

It didn't bother me as much as I thought...as long as there is no storm and just the reg daily rain i can deal with it!

:confused3 I LIKED Faye... :rotfl2:
*****************************************
We had fun - the wind was pretty cold, but it was a lovely sunny day. And now the boys, as I said, are in bed at a fairly normal time.

So it's fine, and D has been terribly apologetic all day. ;)

I still need to do a bit more laundry (some's in the dryer, some's in the washer, I need to start at least one more load...) but that's about it.

I made an appointment at the nearest Apple store - a 45 minute drive one way :headache: to see about the iPod. I called the actual store and they said IF they could fix it, it usually runs around $129, which is better than buying a new one. If they can't, well... I think she said I could get a 10% discount on a new one, which is about what amazon.com is offering, but I wouldn't have to wait for shipping. :confused3 We'll see.

I imagine D & I are going to try to watch more shows tonight - we're still way behind even though nothing's been new since before the holidays - so I won't be on. Everyone have a good night!

So, before you guys all roll your eyes at me for having a teenager that would DARE to speak to me like that and get away with it. I don't.

MEL

No eye rolling here. Even the best kids have their days. I would rather my child blow off steam like that than keep it all bottled up and have a major blowup down the road. While I don't think kids should be disrespectful, I think it is good if they can tell you how they are feeling.

ds7 is usually really good, but lately being a little pain. When we were at the dealership waiting on the car, he and Baby Girl were being really loud in the kid's play area. They were fighting. I told them both to stop and then told ds to come to me. He actually told me NO. I was so mad. He's never been that disrespectful to me. I told him he does not tell me no and couldn't think of a good punishment, so I told him he would get a punishment and left it at that. We left the dealership and went to Wal Mart, where he and Baby Girl were being loud and running around. Ooohhhh they knew I was mad then. We left and when we got home I made them both go to bed. That nap did them both wonders.

Janet: nice pictures

KyKatt: You're not old, you're just from Kentucky. :thumbsup2 LY/MI

Miz: I've been doing what you suggested. I just can't get the nig words; maybe because it's words that I'm not sure if I can say here: rectal, enema, and the word for BOBS :banana:

Oh no! I hope it's nothing serious! :hug:
That's a great picture Janet. :goodvibes

I'm crying about the Colts. The radio guys kept saying what terrible officiating was going on, but they were Colts announcers so I'm not sure if they were being totally honest. If it was though, what a terrible way to lose. :rolleyes:
Ooh! Andy and Waldo were watching it last night and they said the officials practically handed the game to the CHargers. What ever that means! :confused:
How is everybody? Well, I survived the gym. Did 15 mins on the bike, and then tried the Elliptical machines with SD. HOLY CROW! Those things are HARD! I burnt more calories on that in 3 mins than 10 on the bike! I am psyched to go back and do it again~
The first time I tried an elliptical, I almost died. But I did get off because I didn't want to look like a wimp! :rotfl2:

Bob sent him to his room, which is maybe the second time in his WHOLE life that we've done that! He was there all day, until dinner. Then he apologized to me, and said he was just angry and he really did love me. Gosh, teenagers are so hard to figure out.

He could have told me just about anything ELSE and I'd have understood it. But, hate me? That was just weird. :confused3
:hug: Yeah, I'm really looking forward to the teen years. :rolleyes:

Hey Mel, good luck tomorrow! :hug:

Nothing new here. Went to the train show with my brother and his family. Evan was in HEAVEN!! :cloud9: Time to get the kids bathed and in bed - SCHOOL TOMORROW!!!! WOO HOOOO!!! :banana:

Katt is the at the same time!:thumbsup2

Thanks Kat:goodvibes

LEt me know how Mary Poppins is. Maybe we can make a show part of our potential NYC Focker meet. Do you get your tickets at that 1/2 place in Times Square, near the MArriott!?

I do that sometimes yea. Lately I have been getting offers from broadwaybox.com and they have some great ones! I got the mezz seats at mary poppins for $40 i think. Maybe we can all do Lion King??????

He could have told me just about anything ELSE and I'd have understood it. But, hate me? That was just weird. :confused3

He seems to be over it now. I guess he was just having a moment. BUT, it didn't exactly make my day.

Sorry to blab on and on. It was traumatic.:rotfl:

MEL

:hug: :hug: At least he apologized!!!

Hi Kat Your August trip sounds good with the 40% code !! That wouldn'tby any chance run till Sept 12th????:confused3 :worship: Jo I think you are my FRIEND!!!!!:cool1:

Probably not...so far I am looking at Aug 24th- 29 maybe.

I made an appointment at the nearest Apple store - a 45 minute drive one way :headache: to see about the iPod. I called the actual store and they said IF they could fix it, it usually runs around $129, which is better than buying a new one. If they can't, well... Just be weary of what they are going to do for you, sometimes they use "refurbished" hard drive to replace them. make sure if its a refurb that you have a warranty on it, if not it's better to just buy a whole new ipod, or even a new refurbed one with a warranty . Did that make sense???

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I feel kinda bad because KC has been busting his butt all day and I have been basically doing nada. I made the rice. He did everything else. He's doing the dishes now. he even went to the supermarket earlier. He also is going to wash out the cat's litter box next. I am sort of trying to get him to see how much work it is to be home all the time and how much i really do.... think its working????

Here's the link to my YouTube page with the cat videos and the spring awakening stuff....http://www.youtube.com/user/Tinkykat

Just a quick stop in. Bug is still up and it is getting late here. I will have a grump tomorrow.

Mel if I remember correct you go back to the doc tomorrow. Best of news wishes for you.

We leave the pool and we're changing back into warm clothes and SD says, "We're going to lunch right?" I said, "NO. I told you the other day that I will NOT BE buying lunch every day we're at the gym. First, it defeats the purpose for me, which is to LOSE weight. Second, it is EXPENSIVE." The gym membership alone is expensive. This is not a hard concept for an almost 16 yr old to grasp. Right?
So, he tells me that he hates me for being so cheap and that he's not coming anymore.

So, before you guys all roll your eyes at me for having a teenager that would DARE to speak to me like that and get away with it. I don't. He is a GREAT kid. He (and Gus) have NEVER spoken to me that way. I did NOT raise them to be brats. They're very well behaved. I was SOOOOOO shocked. I said, "So, you hate me?" He said, "Yeah, right now I do." I said, "I'm sorry you feel that way."

I wish I knew what the deal was today. I wanted to just shut him out and not get into it but I couldn't let it lie. I asked him if he thought that he had a rough life? I informed him that in 2 VERY SHORT years he will be able to pay his OWN bills and he'll find it difficult to maintain the lifestyle he's accustomed to here! Oh well. It was awful anyway. I did tell him that I'd be talking to Bob about what he said to me.

Bob sent him to his room, which is maybe the second time in his WHOLE life that we've done that! He was there all day, until dinner. Then he apologized to me, and said he was just angry and he really did love me. Gosh, teenagers are so hard to figure out.

MEL

Aww Mel...:hug: I have a almost 16 year old also...it happens! Sam is a little bit of a bear though. hes been short tempered this whole vacation...I think its boredom, for him,,,he doesnt really have friends and hasnt gone anywhere much this last 2 weeks...hes also HUGE! So he goes to the gym with us. but he will say the same thing,,"where are we stopping for dinner?" uh,,were not!!! it will pass...then you have Gus and I have Ben,,,(same ages) :goodvibes
good luck at Dr Siegles tomorrow, or today,,,

`````````````````````
Steve told me today where his choice of vacation this year will be....NYC!! :eek: He wants to see the statue of liberty,go to a show, FAO Shwartz, (closed?)
So I really need help in planning this...KAT!!! I think it will only be a night or two. it will probaly cost the same as a week in Disney. We`ve never been to NYC. Steve hates people and crowds and gets nervous in Providence. :sad2:
he choose this though...strange....
I'm crying about the Colts. The radio guys kept saying what terrible officiating was going on, but they were Colts announcers so I'm not sure if they were being totally honest. If it was though, what a terrible way to lose. :rolleyes:
We didn't see anything of the game, but things we saw on ESPN said the same thing:confused3
The Eagles are playing like carp and are now losing:sad2:
Well, I won't tell you that I want them to win since my teams have sucked this weekend! ;)
I don't really like football, but it makes Jim happy...which doesn't make my life miserable. I can't stand the fox announcers though. I keep wondering if they can kiss Minnesota's butt anymore than they are!:confused: :sad2:
Ooh! Andy and Waldo were watching it last night and they said the officials practically handed the game to the CHargers. What ever that means! :confused:
All I have to say is that the game stunk! Neither team deserved to win by the way they were playing. I knew as soon as we lost the toss in overtime that we were going to lose. The refs had a few bad calls, but I can't blame it all on them. Our defense was horrible. I told a friend that we need to draft some defensive linemen that weigh more than 230 pounds! That and a running back who can actually run the ball.
Janet - Congrats to Jim's Eagles. :cheer2: :cheer2: I told you they were going to win! Not sure about next weekend though. I think they might have some trouble with the Giants.
As for the Chargers, they are going to get stomped by the Steelers. It won't even be a close game. And Baltimore is going to stomp the Titans too. Those are my predictions (unless the same refs get those games... :sad2: ).
So, I think CE, Mel and Katt need a few of these -- :hug: :hug: :hug:
Janet - Very nice pics from the wedding. Looks like you had a great time!
~~~~~~~~~
So, I've been trying to finish my to-do list today. I went to the grocery to buy all kinds of good food for tomorrow's beginning of a new lifestyle. I also worked a bit more on organizing my scrapbooking stuff. Then, I put the living room back together. DH helped me take the tree down yesterday afternoon, but I didn't get the furniture moved until tonight because of the game. I also did about four loads of laundry and a bunch of dishes.

Tomorrow's plan is to hit Sam's Club, then go to the Y to workout. The girls want to swim, so I told them that I would sit and watch them swim for a bit after I work out. That all depends, however, on DD4. She had a fever this afternoon. :sad2: She just got over strep and for some reason, she just can't stay healthy for more than a week! If it's still around tomorrow, I may take her in. We missed a few doses of her antibiotic, so I'm a bit worried that the strep may be back. We'll see what tomorrow brings. Obviously if she's still sick, I'll be trying to figure out a way to work out at home?? Any ideas? We don't have a Wii or any workout videos.

WHATEVER you need help on, just ask! Feel free to PM me, i'll give you my # if you want, too.

FAO isn't closed, they took it down last year for refurb but its beautiful now. You can get cheap tix at the TKTS booth in times square (i am an authority on broadway stuff). As far as crowds go...when do you wanna come here? It's generally crowded here tho, esp in the touristy areas.

Ask Away!

I'm off to finish my book...Night all!
