Go. See. This. Movie!

Nope, sorry...can't.stand.Barad. Pitt.:duck:

We're getting ready to drive to WDW. See you next year.

HAve a fabulous time and a safe trip:goodvibes

We're off to the cinema in a minute to see Bedtime stories, the adverts look good so hopefully it will be

The trailers look sgood. How was it!?popcorn::

We saw Bedtime stories on Christmas Day. IT really IS A CUTE MOVIE. Kind of sorry we have already seen it... now I have nothing to look forward to.

SOmething I can take Jimmy too!:confused3

Morning everyone!

Hi LL! :goodvibes

Whilst I'm on the subject, it appears that my project that I was supposed to go to Atlanta to work on has been...well, for lack of a better word...postponed.

Indefinitely.

And there's not much out there that starting up in the next few months. Not much of anything as a matter of fact.

So...here's what I'm facing gang...

Unemployment.

By March I think, unless my company can find someplace to put me. And from the not-so-warm-and-fuzzies we got from his company a couple of weeks ago, it sounds like it'll be the same for Tony as well.

I'm waiting to hear on a couple of possible temporary assignments I could be placed on, but who knows where, for how long and when...

My house should have been on the market by now in order for us to leave as scheduled, but they haven't even told me to put it on the market yet. I know that I've been extended here till around the end of February to finish this job up, but after that.... who knows...

Pretty depressing...

Wow ain't I just a bundle of joy and happiness this morning? Here I could be enjoying the quiet in my house and what am I doing? Having a pity party...

Shameful, just shameful.

Well, thanks for letting me vent girls. :flower3: Not even sure where that all came from. Maybe I'll go get another cup of coffee and go sit outside for a bit...it's actually pretty warm out this morning.

THat's what we are here for, to vent. I have no words of wisdom (I seldom do:rolleyes1 ) but I can offer lots of

Oh LL! You know, Bob works in the auto industry here in Michigan (again, not looking good for the home team) so we know all about bad future work forecasts! I wish I could say things will improve. We don't say that around here though! LOL. We DO say that WE WILL find a way. WE WILL land on our feet! We always have, we always will. Might be bumpy in the middle, but WE WILL.
SO, here's a big hug from me. It stinks to worry about stuff like that. We're here for you!

MEL

I was wondering if all that is going on with the Big 3 if Bob would be effected!

everyone have a great day!

You too!:goodvibes

Yes, Virginia, there IS a Santa Claus!!

:lmao:

Good morning Fockers!

I'm home today. I was supposed to go get Kaia from her father with Tera. But, my dad is sick and couldn't watch Jon. So, I think Jon and I will go watch Bedtime Stories today!

Hope your dad is feeling better soon Jen!:goodvibes

Well friends, I have been reading a long, but am sick, sick, sick in bed. Tink has croup, and rest of the family has a pretty bad virus. We are all down and out. We spent the day in the house, the kids had to pretty much fend for themselves most of the day, while we took turns sleeping off our fevers. Tink still has a ton of energy even with being sick. :sad2: Ds played his DS all day. Literally ALL DAY! I get the mom of the year award. I do need to get myself up today because I HAVE to drop off a gift to our friend. It is needed before tomorrow. We need to be better for tomorrow.

Hope you are all feeling better!:goodvibes

As many of you know Emilie passed. Thank you for your emails and messages. It really is so kind of you. Here is what she wanted to leave after her passing...

"And did you get what
you wanted from this life, even so?

I did.

And what did you want?

To call myself beloved, to feel myself
beloved on the earth."

— Raymond Carver

An article that has been in progress, printed today in the St. Paul Paper:
Emilie Lemmons

Her funeral is tomorrow at one of the largest and most beautiful cathedrals in MN.

A gift that I made, which I sadly didn't get to them in time. Now framed...

=======================================================

Good Morning all! Jim let me sleep until 10:00:yay: :yay:  . I got up and ran to CVS to get him some meds becasue he is not feeling good`the sinuses are killing him:sad2: I sent him up to bed to get some sleep before our company comes around 3:00 or so. THis is our LAST bit of entertaining for this holiday season. Jimmy is having a sleepover tonight and then Jim is going to have 4 kids tomorrow while I am at work. After that the rest of the week should be low key!

ANyone have any plans for NYE? We are going to see the 11am show of Disney on Ice (Worlds of Fantasy) but that is it! We will watch the Mummers Parade on NY Day (Check it this site if you want to know what a Mummer is http://mummers.com/). THen on the 2nd all the decorations will come down and be put away and lfe will be back to normal!

Anyone around?

It really was good, a nice feel good movie :thumbsup2 Hope you feel better today!

Can I take Jimmy to see it?

Then I did about 45 mins on the Wii Fit and almost killed myself hullahooping but hey I have the top score :rotfl2:

ANd that is the most important thing...to beat your children;) :lmao:

I told the kids aboout the trip and it was such a downer. The puzzle was way too hard for them, so Kirt and I did it and let them put the words on last. Then C read it outloud. I think A's response was, "Can we play the Wii now?" :sad2:
But, the girls and I have been talking about it some this morning and we're going to sit and plan things a bit to get them excited. :wizard: I read on All Ears that ADRs can only be made 90 days in advance now, which means Jan. 26th for me. Plus 10 is 1/16. So I have a few weeks still. :surfweb:
Maybe later this week I can post my ideas and you all can tell me if it looks good to you all. I plan on buying the Birnbaum's kids later for the girls to share. :thumbsup2

Awww, DAwn...I think they are more excited than you think. As the planning gets done and the trip gets closer they will show enthusiasm:hug:

Kids are funny creatures Dawn, I'm sure he's very excited really

Well that's good that the girls want to help plan, ADR's are now 90 days but the plus ten works the other way. If 90 days from your arrival date is Jan 26th then you can phone that day and book for the first 10 days of your trip :thumbsup2

Dude, that was a great answer.

You should be on the Mom's Panel....

Oh wait.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

MEL:love:

Can I take Jimmy to see it?
Oh definitely, he'd love it there's a bit of everything, cowboys, space, romance :scared: :rotfl2:

ANd that is the most important thing...to beat your children;) :lmao:
And DH :rotfl2:

Dude, that was a great answer.

You should be on the Mom's Panel....

Oh wait.

Cheeky :rotfl2: I start unofficially tomorrow, but as we've got a conference call at 5.30pm EST I'm not going to answer any till the next day just incase they tell us something in the call that we needed to know. I have been looking at all the pending questions though :rotfl2:

I was wondering if all that is going on with the Big 3 if Bob would be effected!

Hi Janet!

Well, the auto industry is a mess, but Bob's job is ok for now. The VP called him the week he got home from Japan and told him that they may have to make "some hard decisions" but that won't be until June 09. (And doesn't include him, as it's a small company and it pretty much goes, Pres, VP, Bob)
However, all of our dear friends, who are Bob's guys (engineers/service guys) will probably be laid off with the exception of Mike. That's so scary to me.

And, though Bob continually assures me that his company would lay him off LAST, I still worry.
Everyone I know in Michigan (no exageration...) works for the Big 3. EVERYONE. It's scary. Of the 6 houses for sale in our sub, 5 of them are in foreclosure. One of them was originally for sale for 385K (about 3 yrs ago) and it just sold in foreclosure for 125K!!! That scares me more than losing our job. What if we find another job and have to leave our house because there is NO way you can sell for what you owe when you're competing against THAT.

BUT, like I told LL, we try not to worry about things like that. We try to stay focused and realistic. AND we are open to moving wherever we have to. That helps.

I vote for Orlando.....:rolleyes1
MEL

Unemployment.:scared:

Well, that's a different way to start the new year with a bang.  Maybe Disney is calling your name for a visit! ;)

Well friends, I have been reading a long, but am sick, sick, sick in bed.
Hope you all feel better soon! :flower3:

That is so beautiful!

I then spent over an hour trying to get the printer to work so I can send off my contract again tomorrow, we really need a new PC it's getting sooooooooo slow!

We just got a new one too. Had no idea how carpy our old one was! :thumbsup2

Then I did about 45 mins on the Wii Fit and almost killed myself hullahooping but hey I have the top score :rotfl2:
There's a sport you don't normally think about! :rotfl:

But, the girls and I have been talking about it some this morning and we're going to sit and plan things a bit to get them excited. :wizard:

Definitely a good idea! :goodvibes

Huh? I don't get it. I thought if my 90 days is 1/26, I could call 10 days ealier if I'm staying at a resort. That's not right?:confused3 Darn! I marked it on my calendar in sharpie! :headache:

Nope. No plans. I was thinking of having a movie/game night with the kids. Baylie wants to stay up for the first time, so I'm going to let her. Camryn wants to too, but I dont' think she'll make it. I'm not sure about Aiden. :confused3

Awww, DAwn...I think they are more excited than you think. As the planning gets done and the trip gets closer they will show enthusiasm:hug:
:goodvibes I'm sure you're right.

Not in sharpie :faint: ;) :rotfl2:
OK lets see if I can make sense, you can book an ADR at 90 days in advance, if you were staying offsite you would need to phone back every day on the actual 90 day date to book, by staying onsite they give you a perk by allowing you to phone on the 90 day mark and then book for the next 10 days :thumbsup2 Is this a test? Did I pass? :rotfl2:

I really should go and start tea, we're having chicken stirfry with sweet and sour sauce, rice and spring rolls (egg rolls)!

Nope, sorry...can't.stand.Barad. Pitt.:duck:
Yea, he's not all that.

I have no words of wisdom (I seldom do:rolleyes1 )
Ha! You know sports and that's very important! :thumbsup2

ANyone have any plans for NYE? We are going to see the 11am show of Disney on Ice (Worlds of Fantasy) but that is it!
We're going to http://www.theoceanaire.com/ with my parents. I know I've mentioned it before, but it's lovely! :lovestruc

Darn! I marked it on my calendar in sharpie! :headache:

:rotfl2:

Reid has his surgery Tuesday and even though it's OP, my sister & BIL don't want to leave him on NYE, and for some reason my grandmother doesn't want to go, so it will be just us with my parents. Not sure yet if that's good or bad. :rolleyes1

It's wierd becasue I think this is different all over. Here...we bought for 165, houses in the neighborhood are now going for $295 :faint:

I vote for Orlando.....:rolleyes1
MEL

Gee, I wonder why;)

Go to this website. It will give you your exact date of when you can make ADR's http://pscalculator.net/

I know how you feel. Kirt's one of the last to go too, but having to be the one laying people off has really taken a toll on him. :sad1:
He's worried for his job, but I told him we'll work it out no matter what happens.

Ouch, that is hard Mel. It is always so difficult when an area relies heavily on one industry. Lets hope things brighten up and people start buying some new cars!

Angela- UMMM YUMMMY! I love Oceanaire! However I must say they kind of botched my anniversary dinner a few years back. Fluke though, pure fluke! Have a crab cake for me. :cloud9:

Dawn- Make sure your camera is set to the right setting.

Only easy ones please :rotfl2:

Janet: :rotfl:

Jo: Seriously, I'm looking up best days for different parks... I followed the day after a EMH policy last time and it was great, but it was a low attendance week. This time, we're going during medium attendance. I had my days picked out, but now when I look on Magical Beginnings.com severalof the days I picked say high crowd. What do you suggest? Is there a site you trust the most? :confused3 :surfweb:
