Oh my goodness ladies! I just caught up on 11+ pages! I don't remember half of what I read though....

Katt- I play clarinet, sax and flute. I also played baritone in the basketball band in college. I also play piano (sorta) and sing, but clarinet is the main instrument.

I'm hoping to get my cards in the mail tomorrow. I got my Secret Santa gift yesterday and I'll try to post a pic later tonight.

Gotta run out to lunch with my hubby, who stayed home today to study for his anatomy final tonight. Be back later!

It's hailing out! Yuck...so I'm tucking the ambition in behind the big cup of coffee and the couch. I'll save it for later.

Anyone watch the 20/20 special last night? I'm watching it now, its interesting.
I don't blame you. Did you read my blog report on meeting some cool people this weekend? I thought you would appreciate it. :cutie:

Who called that early:headache:
My cousin in Michigan. She was wrapping gfts for my kids and couldn't remember who had which American Girl Doll. :headache: My mom called at 8:30, so I guess I wasn't going to sleep more anyway. :sad2:

What kind of options Dawn:confused:
I'm thinking I will go ahead and teach her everything but writing. It's just not something I want to and I don't feel comfortable with it. There's a lady in town that teaches classes, but she's expensive. It's such an important skill, though.

I also was looking on-line at all those different classes that are offered. I can enroll her in one or all of her classes on-line if I choose to. There are also homeschooling curriculums with DVDs that have another person teach the concept, etc.

There are so many things to look at once she gets older. I think public school is completely out again, but I'm not ruling out something else if I get too overwhelmed or feel like I can't do a subject as well as I'd like. :thumbsup2

I'll post pics of him after he recovers from surgery! :lmao: His candy cane broke and Andy repaired him, but looks like he'll be just fine! ;)

Also got cards from S'late: OMGosh! You're kids have grown and you DD is beautiful! :goodvibes

And Katt: You're card was so sweet and I even got all verklempt reading it!

Be back later, kid! :flower3:

I wish the Public schools would make it possible to actually study their curriculum, grade appropriate.. , and those doing "home schooling take tests around the same time frame as public school kids do.

A program you enroll in.. and by doing so.. the school systems would get partial credits from the state( aka our tax dollars) but Home schoolers might also be asked to pony up some money.

See where I am going with this ??

Sorry if I'm interrupting. Just doing a fly-by.
I received my secret santa gift today and I am thrilled !! I have had a very sad day I just heard today that my best friend growing up in England died of Cancer last month! Another old friend sent me a Christmas card and in it was the obituary, she thought I knew !!I have spent most of the day in tears and once again it was my dear Focker Friends wholifted my spirits !!

I'm so sorry, Rosie! That's an awful way to find out.

Yes, she has difficulty with speech, although her comprehension seems to be fairly intact. She has a left sided facial droop and no control of her left eye. Vision is very poor as well. BUT, she has a right-sided paralysis below the neck.

They don't know how she'll heal. They say her teaching career (she's been teaching for over 30 years) is over. They will be sending her to rehab after she's out of ICU.

Mr. C was in tears this morning. Poor man. He loves her so much. And they've said she'll never be the same.

This is so sad. Prayers for them are on the way.

Kat - nice pics.

I hope all sickies get better soon.

19 degrees F out there today. Some sleet is on the ground. I'll be careful walking today.

I'm still waiting on one video to load up. Maybe tomorrow I'll have something.

Gotta work the next 3 nights. We go to the doc in Indy on Thurs. - which means no sleep for me. My attendance here will be spotty at best.

Gotta run.
Keep your chins up and your fannies where they should be!

:rotfl2: He's Paul Mitchell. Unfortunately, no relation. No one calls him Paul and only his immediate family calls him Mitchell.

Gotcha!

How is there tennis but no school? :confused3

Tennis was for me, but it's also at my gym, which has been up and running since Friday afternoon. The boys sports are done with for the rest of December. :thumbsup2

School... I have decided to be ready for it to not go on tomorrow, then I'll be pleasantly surprised if it does. There are still 96,000 customers without power today in NH. :faint:

Are the boys out of school the rest of the week?

Oh, dear god, I hope not. :scared1: :rotfl: I wouldn't have been too surprised if we'd had it tomorrow, except that the weather looks not so great. We're supposed to go through the 23rd, too, so it would be missing 8 days total if they gave up until January. I have no interest in that, as it hasn't even snowed yet, and I don't want to be in school until the 4th of July. 'Cause I'm sure we'll have snow days somewhere in here...

Have a good week, then, Kristel.

:confused3 I got lost...

I pay school taxes and even though we don't go to public school. We don't have a choice with that. Also- I don't want to use the same curriculum. I like to tailor what I use to my kids.

Camryn just finished 2 2nd grade books and will be doing 3rd grade fully before February. She's sharp. Aiden doesn't care as much and isn't doing much besides letters and learning to read. One main reason I do this is so they can learn at their level- whether it's faster or slower.

What was it about?

It was called "drama high: the making of a high school musical" I enjoyed it.

I don't blame you. Did you read my blog report on meeting some cool people this weekend? I thought you would appreciate it. :cutie:

YEP! You know I love me some dance shows!!! I still can't believe I get KC to watch them! LOL

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
so now it's snowing...and I hate snow...moving to florida is looking more appealing by the minute...lol. It's bad out thee, i'll take some pics out the window.

I have NOTHING to do...it's kinda sad...lol. Whats everyone else doing today??? Any holiday plans this week??? We have KCs work party thursday, free food and drink so we are there!

I wondered that, too - and she keeps not answering. I think we have a NotMitch situation on our hands! :rotfl:

I wanted to check in. I'm glad, too, that Mel's sister is back in her house - good news!

Ha! NotMitch! Perfecto! :rotfl:

Thanks CE! She is in good spirits now. Just being back home!

:rotfl2: He's Paul Mitchell. Unfortunately, no relation. No one calls him Paul and only his immediate family calls him Mitchell.

Ah, Paul Mitchell. Ah ha! Well, he's now going to be NotMitch.

So there.

Hello Everybody!

I am DONE DONE DONE. I finished all my Non-Bob,SD,Gus shopping! WHOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Now I can wrap, package, bake cookies and ship everything! Yay!
Cards are all on their way to you guys! I only have the 3 boys left to shop for but I can do that during their break. That's the beauty of having teenagers!!!! (frankly, that might be the ONLY beautiful thing about it....)

Feels so good to be done with that. I was stressing over it majorly.

Tonight we are having BLT's and Soup. It's AWFUL cold here, around 16 degrees! Brrrr. Tonight they expect snow (around 3-6 inches) so of course the kids are HOPING for a snow day. Me not so much....

I have to run out and get SD in a minute. Bob is working from home today and tomorrow. He's taken over the scrapbooking room for his "work." Argh.

Ok, gotta go. You girls be good.

Oh, coffee was nice this a.m. too. Though it didn't last as long as I'd hoped. We both had tons to do!

MEL:banana:

I hate snow...but luckily I like in NYC where it dries into the concrete within a day....

View from one of my 2 windows (lol), the one with the fire escape...

I wish I would have caught it. I bet I would have liked it too.

I have stuff I should be doing, but I'm not. I did do school and some cleaning.
Kirt's buying a new truck today. This weekend his all but died, so he wants to trade it in before it's completely done. :headache:

It's 35 here, so we're hiding in the house also. I don't really have any money, or I'd go buy a stinkin' coat. I have a light sweater, but nothing for this kind of weather. brrrr!

Shoot...I wanted to watch that!:headache:

We have our in the office party on Thursday. The only good thing about that is that it is a laid back day at work. On Saturday I will be baking cookies and then on Sunday I have to go to the Italian Market (Where Rocky ran;) ) to get my pasta and fish for Christmas Eve.

I ordered a new what I call "puffy" coat but its on backorder until jan something-or-another. I have a wool coat but I wanted a less dressy looking coat, we'll see if I actually use it this year! But i got it for like $40 so I can't complain!

I just looked up the place where KCs office party is...and it says there is a dress code! I hate places like that, not that i'd dress like a bum but forcing me to dress up isn't nice either! And KC will be unhappy that he has to wear dress shoes, because he is VERY casual at work usually. The drinks look good tho: STIR NYC.

Kat,
The food looks YUMMY!!! I'd dress in a chicken suit if they fed me there!
LOL.

The snowy Brooklyn scene was interesting. Does it just melt when it hits the ground? Wish that happened here....

MEL
