Sure, from what day?
Today :goodvibes

Did I tell you guys I got in trouble last week b/c B has lost 3 brackets since May? :headache:
No, that's a bit harsh it's not like you're pulling them off whilst she's asleep :rotfl2:

Jo- Why should she check the paper? popcorn::
Because there's a Moms Panel article in there, I have the link but someone said that the actual article had a photo too and I wondered which one :thumbsup2 The link, BTW so much for no surnames or keeping where I live a secret :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Good Lunchtime everybody!!
We had fun yesterday, my daughter's car died and we had to get it towed to the repair shop. $1000 later, and a new fuel pump, it's as good as new. Figures that this would happen right before our vacation. Ugh. Looks like there will be a few less purchases in WDW.

Hope everyone's doing well. I still have to catch up with the old thread, but I happened to notice the new one & I had to try for page 1!

Have a great weekend!
-Michelle

That sux! Stuff like that never happens when you don't have anything going on.

One thing that I probably won't mention on my TR but thought you guys would think it was funny, when we ate in France I kinda got chatted up by a very good looking French waiter, he said he loved my accent and was very attentive :rotfl2:

Did he get a good tip?

Left the house and went to breakfast at Friendly's. From there we went to Five Below and got Jimmy's pollyanna gift. Went to thebest store to buy some surprises for TInkerbelle's stocking. Went to Bed Bath and Beyond, then to Cracker Barrel to pick up a gift card. From there we went to Wally World (and for the first time ever went in and got everything I was looking for:woohoo: ). After that we headed to the mall so Jimmy could drop his letter to Santa into the Mailbox at the Santa Village. He did not get his picture taken. Didn't want to and we didn't force him.

Got home about 4:30 and started wrapping. Wrapped everything that is not Jimmy's. Gave Jimmy his bath and he is currently curled up on the couch watching Santa Claus is COming to Town and Jim is cleaning the basement! All we have left to do is wrap Jimmy's presents and write out the cars for Jimmy's class. I wrote out the envelopes, Jimmy will sign his own name!

:worship:

It's been a carpy weekend here, to say the least.

We went on our "date" and it was a HUGE FLOP. We tried to go to the chocolate place and we were at the wrong train station and it costs another $2 to go back in plus KC spent like 45 minutes trying to fix his phone at a tmobile store. I was so annoyed I got snotty with the girl....

KC - "my phone isn't working, i can't get any service, I tried my sim card in my wife's phone and it works there so it must be my phone, i need some help.
Tmobile Girl- "we don't have any techs in the store, none at all, no one who can help you. you will ahve to trouble shoot over the phone"
ME- "how exactly do you trouble shoot over the phone when your phone doesn't work??"
Tmobile Girl- "Well i guess u can use one of ours."

Thank you rocket scientist!

Dinner was good tho, we had awesome french food. Chardonnay, warm goat cheese salad, escargot, porchini mushroom ravioli and duck a l'orange, and creme brule!

Then my feet started to hurt and I ended up buying sneakers in Kmart (where KC bought jeans for himself) and after a bad cup of starbucks we went home without doing anything we had planned.

Sorry about your date. At least you got a good meal. Love the phone genius!!

My Party for 16 DRUNKO woman went... well... drunko. I was a hurting Jen yesterday. Ouchy! Who would have thought that yummy Pomegranate Martini's could hurt? :confused3 I got my house put back together today. i just need to return the extra martini glasses and tables and chairs to a friend, then return the pile of loot left behind by drunko middle aged woman. :santa:

We went to the Mall of America and spent a small fortune on Christmas gifts. It was my first time in the new American Girl Store. Ouch. That hurt. My bank account that is. ;) Tink is getting some AG Bitty baby items for Christmas. She has drooled over that catalog for 2 years. She was in HEAVEN:cloud9: running through the store. She knew many of the dolls names, just by me reading the catalog to her.

We are having breakfast with Santa tomorrow at macy's. The only problem is that I don't have a CLUE what time it is at!? They sent me a confirmation with the date, but NO time! I have checked their website and they have removed the breakfast with santa information. Wish me luck!

:thumbsup2 What's a party without a hangover! Maybe Macy's wants you to do more shopping.

Cliff notes version - Three out of the five in our family, including me and Mrs. T, are sick. Mrs. T and I both have a cold with various sinus issues, and DS6 has a sore throat and fever.

Yesterday was pretty hectic here; Mrs. T and I both started the day battling a cold. We had a friend of DD9 sleep over Friday night, so we had an extra child in the house. Everyone was feeling a bit tired, so I was pretty much the only one who made it to services. I stayed long enough for the mourner's prayer for my mom then headed home.

I finally got frustrated enough with myself to cross the threshold of our local weight watchers for a meeting at 11. Turns out that as of last week they are starting a new program. I feel like I've made progress on the exercise part of my program; now I need to get a handle on the eating. I stopped at Fresh Market, conveniently located adjacent to WW, for some good for me produce and meats.

I got home from the meeting in time to see off DD9's friend and the friend's mother. About an hour later, I got a call from the friend's mom to let us know that she friend nits in her children's hair, including DD9's friend. Mrs. T was out picking up a present for DS6's friend whose party was later that afternoon. So, I called Mrs. T to pick up some appropriate shampoo, grabbed all the beddings from DD9's room and all her stuffed animals, and started laundering. Mrs. T picked up a fairly convenient kit that included the shampoo, a comb gel, and a fine tooth comb which she proceeded to use on DD9. The kit also included a spray can for surfaces that could not laundered, so I attacked the various couches and other areas with the spray can.

After all this activity, we found DS6 laying down in bed. DS6 never lays down in the middle of the day unless something is not right. He was feeling warm and his throat hurt, so Mrs. T took his temperature - over 102. He had a pretty good melt down when we told him he could not go to the birthday party. I was back out to the store for fruit punch and Sprite, his preferred hydrating fluids.

At this point, we called and canceled the sitter. Our date night was not destined to happen. I still have a sitter set for our anniversary Wednesday, but I guess we'll have to see how everyone is feeling. So, I went out again and picked up Indian food for the two of us. The spice helped to clear our sinuses.

I'm supposed to be supervising the food set-up at DS6's cub scout Hanukkah party today. I sent an e-mail out yesterday to the person in charge to let her know our situation. I haven't heard back yet, but I hate dropping the ball on something where I made a commitment to help, particularly at the last minute.

Until I hit preview, I didn't quite know how long I rambled. I guess I need to get it all out. Sorry for the wordy post.

:scared1: all the way around. Good luck with WW too!

I'm babysitting Kaia today while Tera is at work. I should be starting more holiday baking, but I had to check in here first.

I took Kaia to the store with me and she did the funniest thing. We were walking up one of the aisles and she says: "I see Mary."

I said, "Who's Mary, honey?" Thinking that it was one of her friends.

She looks at me in horror and starts screaming! At the top of her lungs:

"I SEE MARY! THE MOTHER OF JESUS! I SEE MARY! JESUS' MOTHER! JESUS! JESUS!" (repeat repeat repeat...SCREAMING!)

Everyone in the store stopped to stare.

I have never laughed so hard in my entire life.

We had to go back and see Mary on the candles she had spotted to get her to...ermmmm...be quiet.

:rotfl2:

Right now I have white chocolate chip/cranberry in the oven. And the reg. choc chip ready to go.

I usually only bake gingersnaps. They're my "signature" cookie. Everyone knows to expect gingersnaps from me. However, I wanted to make some different ones this year!

You gals will love this story. I was out shopping this morning for something to wear to the neighbor's daughter's wedding. It's tomorrow, you know? So, I texted her brother to ask where she was registered. He answered me, then said "We missed you at the wedding on Friday!" Uh, what!!!??? I was actually AT the store shopping for something to wear. I texted back, "OMG, what? It was Friday?!" The mom called me and we had a good laugh about it. I told her I felt AWFUL about it!!! I mean, I wouldn't have missed it for anything! Oh well.
That's what I get for not checking the date. And rechecking. And rechecking AGAIN.
So, I saved myself some cash on an outfit! :rotfl2: And I don't have plans tomorrow night now...LOL. But I feel like a giant A$$. Bob laughed pretty hard when I told him though!

So, we're gonna watch Christmas specials with the kiddos instead.

MEL

OOPSY!! I write stuff on our big calendar and still forget about it.

Found you!

Yeah. NH is a mess. Largest power outage in state history. Lines down in the middle of main roads, let alone the neighborhoods or directly into houses (as my friend Tara's...) It's ugly.

D heard a nice, though slightly unbelievable, rumor that our area might be up tonight or tomorrow, though. I'll believe it when I see it.

Anyway, I miss you all, I want someone to catch me up some - Jen is being coy, I see - and I'll see you when I can.

Glad you are doing OK.

Remember last year, when I announced I was expecting twins in November????
That got around the boards pretty fast! Even faster when they found out it was goats!
They are so cute now---they still sleep right with their mommy, Noodles.........but I have convinced her to stop nursing cause I told her I WAS NOT taking her to the Goat LaLeche league group!

:lmao:

Talked with my sister tonight. She said the insurance guy finally came. They are getting a WHOPPING check for the damages, it's pretty much a GUT the whole house deal. They also cut her a check on the spot for removing the trees, limbs and debris. She said that she hired a family friend of my mom and dad's to do the contracting. He's using her DH as labor (he's laid off from his full time job for the winter anyway) and that will save money. In return, he's doing the work for a steal. She said maybe the tree was her Xmas miracle! LOL. The damage all around them is scary though. The live across the street from an 80 yr. old apple orchard and it's LEVELED. So sad. I spent many a fall day there with my dear grandparents.

She said the contractor said it will take about 4 weeks (hopefully) and they should be able to live there for most of the time once they get a new roof on the house and get it dried out!

She's in good spirits. She told me to thank you all again. I don't know if I've mentioned it, but my sis is a CNA (like Rachel) and she works with Alzheimer's patients almost exclusively. She has the biggest heart and the most amazing work ethic. (I got none of that...LOL) They work 2 or 3 jobs ALL THE TIME to afford that house. I am so glad the insurance company is trying help her out. They were struggling so badly that my gifts to her children were the only ones they were getting since all their money is going to the house. So, you can imagine it meant alot to her to hear that you all wanted to help.
Mel

That's terrific news. I hope they can get everything done quickly.

Reid has a hernia and will have to have surgery. Luckily the surgeon can see them tomorrow and hopefully do the surgery with in a week. Apparently this is common in boys and will be done out patient. The pediatrician made it sound like no big deal so I hope he's right!

I'm getting the itch to move. We looked at houses this weekend and I found a neighborhood I love - perfect location and nice neighborhood, but houses are nice, but what I have now is a better floorplan. It would cut off about 15-20 minutes of drive time for Mr Diz's work commute. Not thrilled about the high school associated with it, but Mr Diz said I shouldn't consider HS since ds is only 7. A little further away is another neighborhood that I love the floorplans, but they haven't built any houses yet and it will be a small neighborhood that is not as nice as the other one (as far as amenities go and there is a street right behind it that are all office buildings).

Goodluck!

Well lets take some inventory...

O.K... logical instrument would be the Glock or the Sideline Bells

Kristel... I think you are the head Cheerleader :cheer2:

Doug and I went to see The Day The Earth Stood Still (TDTESS). It was very good. It was focused more on environmental rather than war this time around. The special effects were good but not too overdone. It didn't give me the big hooray that I thought it would at the end. I love to watch Keanu though.

We went to eat at Texas Roadhouse. Had to wait about 15 minutes for a seat. We just sat ourselves at the bar until they buzzed us. Snakebites, steak and ribs were excellent, as always.
I only had 1 drink but managed to cause a scene walking to the car. Doug had to go to the potty so I walked out alone. Other than the 3000 other people meandering around the parking lot. Our TR is at the mall. So with leftover styro box in hand, I walked across the drive to the car - between traffic that was stopped. Well, Miss Grace found a slick spot with her boot heal and went down - hard. I'm pretty sure I bounced once. Then I rolled to one side. (Winkers would have been impressed.) I kept that styro protected the whole time. A guy from across the lot asked if I was OK. I told him I saved the food. He gave me the thumbs up! I hope no one had their cell at the ready. I bummed my knee a little. Thank goodness I was wearing jeans.

We went home and picked up the dogs then headed to the lights at the farmhouse.

what is going on... I NEVER lost a bracket.. are the parts made in china ??
:confused3 I don't know. She's really careful. This last one came off her molar when she ate a regular chips ahoy cookie at the party last week. Her spacer came out this weekend while she was dancing. It's not like she chews pencils or rocks! :headache:

Last year he missed 1 day.. and that was in May
Stupid people. Why do they always seem to pick at the parents who are trying their best?
I'm glad Scott told them how y'all felt. What a pain. :sad2:

Tell me about it! Baylie had to have paws, leather ballet slippers, tan and black jazz booties, and character shoes (heels)! Yipes! The best prices are on discount dance.com.
You should check it out. :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 Former ballerina here - Discount Dance rocks! I shudder to think what the total outlay was for my ballet career. It wasn't too bad until the last few years, when I'd go through a pair of pointe shoes per month. And had I continued on to make it my profession, we'd be talking a new pair per performance!

I think I've got pinkeye now. I'm having a really hard time getting my eyes to focus properly - they just feel very strained - and both are itchy and sore. Good grief - I'm a mess!
