My Christmas Tree Angel showed up.. and she had some Strange gift tags with her :rotfl2: ( Scott had left the Angel in the storage Bldg)

Hey send them back, will ya, so I don't have to guess who gets what present. :rotfl:

I woke Maddie up a sleepy by telling her it snowed. She jumped out of bed and ran to her window. Heh heh heh. That was too easy! :rotfl2:

That was so mean:lmao:

We have our Caroling event tonight, in freakin' 50 degree weather! :cold: Darn it! Nothing else going on - I'll check back tonight to see who's chattin'! Happy Friday! :yay:

50 degress. Let's see if I can find the sympathy....mmmm, nope not happenin' sorry!;) :lmao:

Sarabeth's Christmas party WORE ME OUT... and I became 1 with the snowmen today... (now .. why do I think that phrase is gonna come back to haunt me)

I can't imagine why you would think that:rolleyes1

Oh, no! Poor kid.

He said he doesn't understand because he got A's on all of his tests and homework. He was expecting an A because he told me earlier in the week that I could go ahead and put his $30 in his savings for his report card. :confused3

In other news, DS11 just got home with his report card. He got a B in social studies and he is not happy at all.

He said he doesn't understand because he got A's on all of his tests and homework. He was expecting an A because he told me earlier in the week that I could go ahead and put his $30 in his savings for his report card. :confused3

Is there a way to check his grades online (we can do that here?) Maybe ask the teacher to see his grades? Were there any other projects or anything he didn't do?

Thanks CE! Yay snow....lol.

Poor NotBob...he's frozen. I made him coffee and some cookies but he said he needs a shower to thaw out!

Some folks visting from Rhode Island got stuck on our street (we're the first driveway in from the main road) and Bob told them, "Just park here. We're not leaving with the van for a while." We have a horseshoe drive so we can take the truck out the other side. The wife says, "Oh, I'm sure they'll have it plowed by tomorrow."
LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

Yeah, right lady! This ain't freakin' Rhode Island.

Once they cancelled school for 5 days because they couldn't get the 9 inches of snow we got plowed for that long.

Stupid Michigan.

MEL:goodvibes

That is odd. I'm with Janet, maybe talk to the teacher?

It was so cold this morning, we actually had frost on our roof and all our neighbors had white lawns. I woke Maddie up a sleepy by telling her it snowed. She jumped out of bed and ran to her window. Heh heh heh. That was too easy! :rotfl2:

Not coming from here either ....even though it has warmed up to 53 here today.. can you say HEAT WAVE. No Heat on in this house today  Seriously no heat.. :hippie:

Hey send them back, will ya, so I don't have to guess who gets what present. :rotfl:
What are they worth to ya  She seems pretty "ATTACHED" to them

Yeah, right lady! This ain't freakin' Rhode Island.

I will say that they are very quick in New England. I've not seen one yet, but I bet I will soon. Of course, I always snowblow right before they come for the last time, and reblock my drive. :rotfl:

It surprises me that MI is that bad. We didn't have the massive snowfalls in downstate IL - just bitter cold - but a big snow is 3-6 there, and with all the farm roads, it does take a while. Here, that's nothing, and the plows are plentiful.

I already sent her an email, but she is probably gone for the break.

Depends on which ones she has. :rolleyes1

I just got an response and she said his current events have not been his best work and she hasn't been able to read some of his homework assignments. Urrg, why couldn't she say after the first few that his grade would be affected so he could get ahold of the situation?

Did she not make a remark on his homework papers that she was having trouble reading them ?? You can't correct what you do not realize is a problem. Yup a couple of zero's on homework will bring you down.
Do you see his homework papers he brings home?? Or do you only get grades. That makes it hard to correct problems too

Jodi - What is the lates on the MIL?

There's really nothing to report. She's still lying in a hospital bed in a c-collar staring at the ceiling. At least they're letting her eat solid food now, although it's hard to chew with the collar on. They still don't know what they're going to do to treat her. She can't have an MRI because of the metal clips in her head, so they're proceeding very cautiously. I assume that's because they can't tell definitely whether anything is broken or not. So, it's just wait and see right now. Eric contacted an attorney yesterday, just to make sure that they get a decent settlement from the insurance company (above and beyond all the medical expenses, of course). She's in lots of pain and the drugs are making her hallucinate.

Ok, so who had not mailed cards/ornaments/SS yet?

Who has not received anything?

I've received my SS gift, but not my ornament.

He is not my usual physical type.

He is about 5'11"...so GIANT to me. ;) Blonde hair, hazel eyes. Big strong arms...

Jon and I will be leaving tomorrow to go to Abq. for his ortho appt. on Monday. We'll find out about surgery. :sad1:

Good luck with the appointment, Jen. It sounds like you've got a great guy there!

Well, I sent DD4 to preschool today. Her fever was gone and she hadn't gotten sick since Wed. dinnertime. She did pretty well. She had the Christmas party and had fun. Didn't participate too much in the songs, but seemed to enjoy herself.

Then, we went to DD7's party at school. Luckily there were extra snacks for DD4, so she was happy. Got home from there and unpacked the car!

We're headed to the doctor in a few minutes. Even though her fever and vomiting are gone, DD4 still has a rash all over her body, so I wanted to get it checked out before taking her to see grandma. Last thing my MIL needs is to catch something from one of the kids.

Nothing planned for the weekend except baking and cleaning and wrapping, etc. DH mentioned today that he still had shopping to do (for me, of course). Oh well, it's his fault for waiting until the last minute, right?? :confused3

homework papers don't come home but his interim indicated all A's; no mention of any problems or concerns. I believe we got the interim on 10/25 or 10/31 so there was only 2 weeks left in the grading period.

What bums me is that sloppy handwriting could stand in the way of all A's for the year.

Just back from a quick run into Target to get my niece a birthday card...Good grief! It seems all the world waited until today to do Christmas shopping!

We're having a movie night tonight and need to finish up shopping tomorrow. I'll be back tonight, I'm sure. No DH for the weekend...

Who's up for a glass of wine and some caroling? ;)

OK I am so bored today I actually read the kirtrillion pages I was behind...tried to quote as much as possible.....

:woohoo: I got it!!! Well, Kirt paid for it all and I loaded it in a basket. The kids didn't even know Kirt was in the electronics section right by them, hiding with the stuff I wanted him to buy! :lmao:

I'm glad you were able to get it! You guys will have so much fun!

And the Finished Product... minus an Angel :guilty:It's My "Traditional Tree
Tree is a white pine 5'8' tall
TRee.jpg

This is my Foyer tree.. Artificial tree.
Copied it from an old Southern Home Magazine
it's a short tree.. only 4 ft tall.. before the stuff on top ;)

GORGEOUS!!!!!!! I love the ribbon wrapped around the tree, I have wanted to do that for a while but havent found ribbons I like.

Weight Watchers Beer Cheese Dip:

Man that sounds good!!!!!!!

I don't want a big thing. Tera and I will be going to Vegas to scope a spot...and that will be it. There will be no big fuss.

I have been to a wedding in Vegas, theres a lot you can do and still keep it simple and nice! The one I went to was in the Flamingo Hilton, which has gardens and paths in the back- really beautiful! And BTW I wanna come- it's an excuse to go to Vegas! ;)

And now the BF and I are fighting. I know it's stupid little things, but it just doesn't feel like Christmas to me this year. Oh well.

Tomorrow is our Holiday party at work and also a friend of mine's birthday so gonna go out and have fun. It's so nice to have a day on the weekend off.

I feel ya on the holiday spirit. I am going through the motions of Xmas but I'm not that in the spirit! I told KC we need to have kids quick to make Christmas better for me LOL! Sorry u and BF are fighting, want me to kick his butt??;)

Well. Leo's at school and will be going to his dad's afterward. I won't see him again until 11am Xmas day. :sad1: It's gonna be a loooong week.

Awwww well at least christmas day will be all the better for it!

What on earth do I buy Bob? He has everything! It's driving me nuts.

Holy Crow thats a lot 'o snow lady!!!! I got KC a large sized compact key chain flash drive as one of his stocking stuffers. And every year I get him a funny page a day calendar- this years is a urban dictionary one! These "geek" types are hard to buy for since they always want something big and expensive lol.

Kat recommended www.AccidentalWine.com so I got a case of wine for M and a book shelf, www.Restaurant.com has GC's 80% off.

NICE! Which one did you go with?? I saved the site and keep forgetting to order!

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Snow. ICK. It's already turning to slush here tho, we had a few inches. Got lots of cards today too...thanks everyone! I also got my SS gifts- AWESOME- thank you SS!!!!! ;)

So the company party was GREAT! I will save some pics off other people's facebook and post 'em later. I had SEVERAL drinks...it was an open bar!!! They also had really good appetizer foods too! I had a really good time. It was nice to meet the guys he works closely with and the one guys wife who came was a great chick- we got along great! KC got an awesome bottle of plum wine from his SS! It's actually one we saw in Epcot LOL!

I always stress situations like that and then I am fine once I get there! We got home late and boy were we tipsy lol.

Today is laundry (in the overpriced basement machines due to the snow) and some cleaning up since my "cocktail party" is tomorrow. I decided just to make my dip and lots of piggies in a blanket (w colby cheese in 'em), less work for me!

How's everyone else faring in this lovely weather????

Where is everyone? Out shopping for my present? ;)

Dude, do you live in the forest or what? It's so pretty!
In other news, DS11 just got home with his report card. He got a B in social studies and he is not happy at all.
That's still good isn't it? :confused3
That was so mean:lmao:
Wait it gets better - she proceeds to wake Evan up and tell him it snowed. LOL!! :lmao:

50 degress. Let's see if I can find the sympathy....mmmm, nope not happenin' sorry!
Dude, 50 is COLD! 40 and I'm in pain. :headache:
Not coming from here either ....even though it has warmed up to 53 here today.. can you say HEAT WAVE. No Heat on in this house today  Seriously no heat.. :hippie:
Are you serious? We have our heater set to 72 right now.

Well that just doesn't seem right.
Who's up for a glass of wine and some caroling? ;)

I have to carol with a bunch of Girl Scouts tonight. I wonder if anyone will notice if I drink wine instead of hot cocoa? :rolleyes1 I just knew those stupid refillable mugs from WDW would come in handy!

Kat,

I logged on to my fav local station to get you the answer about the weather and instead I see this:

High-speed chases goes from Rocky Mount, into Wake County
Shots were reportedly fired during a high-speed chase that began in Rocky Mount and entered Wake County on U.S. Highway 64 West, according to the state Highway Patrol.

Ok, my DH left the mall in Rocky Mount at 4:01 PM travelling on hwy 64 to Wake County.

I just called him and he said as he was leaving the mall, he noticed a bunch of police activity and wondered why he has seen them at every bridge on 64.

But to answer you question, Kat, I am handling the weather fine; it's 70 degrees. ;)

Turns out the car has VA tags. I bet it's Katt trying to return my gift tags.
